Hello friends. I read the following interesting article on spiritdaily: https://www.mysticsofthechurch.com/2019/02/percentage-of-souls-who-go-to-heaven-vs.html?m=1 It’s a tough read. Unsettling. In case anyone else here read it, and felt unnerved and found themselves asking the question the apostles asked Jesus “Then who can be saved?”, I’d like to add something that, surprisingly, was not mentioned in the article: The 15 promises of the Rosary are clear in their encouragement that all who persevere in their recitation of the rosary will not perish, but will be converted and grow in grace. While not a stamp of ‘free-entry-to-heaven’, it is a powerful calming balm to immerse your soul in, especially after reading this article; knowing that the mother of God, the Woman who told Jesus ‘they have no wine’, will whisper to Jesus “This ones with me”.
If we Pray the Rosary every day. Wear the Scapular and Consecrate ourself to our Blessed Mother by it, even if the whole world chooses to go to hell, we will not. Therefore, let us do that. The Nine First Fridays, Five First Saturdays, and Double Novena of Nine First Fridays and Saturdays together are also great means to obtain perseverance in grace, freedom from mortal sin, and thus make us secure in the state of grace, and help us attain salvation, according to Our Lord's and Our Lady's promises. But of course, we cannot and should not be indifferent to the salvation of our families, friends, loved ones, and all our neighbors. We love our neighbor as Jesus commanded when we desire for them all we desire for ourselves, when we would give anything, if we could, to help save their souls from hell just like God did for us. One of my favorite devotions Our Lady has revealed in our times, for which She promised that God would prevent all our family members from going to hell, is making a life offering of all our Masses and Communions to the Sacred Heart through Her Immaculate Heart: "My dear Jesus, before the Holy Trinity, Our Heavenly Mother, and the whole Heavenly Court, united with your most precious Blood and your sacrifice on Calvary, I hereby offer my whole life to the intention of your Sacred Heart and to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Together with my life, I place at your disposal all Holy Masses, all my Holy Communions, all my good deeds, all my sacrifices, and the sufferings of my of my entire life for the adoration and supplication of the Holy Trinity, for unity in our Holy Mother Church, for the Holy Father and priests, for good priestly vocations, and for all souls until the end of the world." Our Lady's promises, beside 4 others, were, "3. None of their family members will go to hell, even if it seems otherwise, because they will receive, in the depths of their souls, the grace of sincere contrition before the soul departs from their bodies." https://marianapostolate.com/life-offering/ By these and in many other ways, we can help Save the souls of all those we love, and if possible, all the persons we come to know in our whole lives! Let that be our challenge and let us each try to offer up all our prayers and sacrifices for the intention that God will save the souls of all our friends and acquaintances.
Trust in Gods Mercy...it is not right to quantify who are saved and who are not saved.... "I just don't know" would suffice. Trust in Gods Mercy and Goodness. It is true that fear of God brings wisdom but we are His children not mere slaves of fear. So those of us who struggle...fear not because we have a Redeemer not a condemner.
Wonderful! This site - pardon the translation, it is rough in some places - has more on the life offering, the Church approvals it has received, and testimonies of those who have made it, for those who are interested in that: https://www.english.santisimavirgen.com.ar/ofrecimiento_vida_eng.htm "For this end, it proposes the life offering, that must be made with full awareness and seriousness, offering it for the greater Glory of God and of the well being of the Holy Church. Encouraging us with great promises, that someone has catalogued as the most generous ever made by Most Holy Mary to date. Let us not despise them! ECCLESIASTICAL APPROVAL: The divulgation either of the messages or revelations, or the Promises and Offer of Life, enjoy competent license of the Hierarchy of the Church. Mons. Gabriel Diaz Cueva, Aux. Bishop of Guayaquil (Ecuador), on July 16, 1987, extended "Imprimi Potest" to the diffusion of these divine manifestations. Additionally on June 15, 1988, the “Imprimatur” was granted by Fr. Agustín Gutiérrez, Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. The "Nihil Obstat" was issued by Fr. Alberto Valenzuela, S.J. Censor, delegate to this end. CLARIFICATIONS: It is sufficient to make this offer once, if made with the necessary dispositions of humility and love. However, it is possible to be renewed frequently. Thus the Redeemer confirmed it to Sr. Maria Natalia: "If anyone, my daughter, makes but a single time the Offer of Life, you understand, My daughter, a single time, in a moment of Grace, the fire of heroic love was ignited in its heart. With this it sealed all his life! Its life, although they do not think consciously about it, already belongs to the Sacred Hearts ". And He added: "Although a soul has made another offer, this one encompasses everything and is over them. This will be, then, the crown, the most precious dressing and the symbol of its spiritual nobility in Heaven ". It is also possible to make other private and personal offers independently of this one ... Jesus: "My children, a single soul that goes on the altar of sacrifice for love to me and its brothers, increase to one hundred fold the glory of My Father and the joy of My dear Mother. Get up, My children, with a more intense fervor! My Church has never has such a great necessity of generous victims as now... We need souls that are not brooding their own problems, but who are watching others looking how to help them in the corporal and in the spiritual. Turn your thoughts and your disinterested love on how to be able to save the unfaithful and the sinners, because they know very well that there is nothing more precious in the world as the souls... Thrust yourselves, My children, time and time again towards the sacred goal to save souls! Become holy so that you can truly be My apostles filled with Christ before the face of My Father!" I'm reminded of what St. Montfort said about the value of saving one single soul, when speaking about Total Consecration, to which this is similar: "To appreciate the excellence of this motive we must understand what a wonderful thing it is to convert a sinner or to deliver a soul from Purgatory. It is an infinite good, greater than the creation of heaven and earth, since it gives a soul the possession of God(!) If by this devotion we secured the release of only soul from Purgatory or converted only one sinner in our whole lifetime, would that not be enough to induce any person who really loves his neighbour to practise this devotion ... It may well be that at the hour of death a person who has been faithful to this devotion will find that he has freed many souls from Purgatory and converted many sinners, even though he performed only the ordinary actions of his state of life. Great will be his joy at the judgement. Great will be his glory throughout eternity."
