I think you are right. But division is the game of the current world order, just look how they are setting up people against vaccine skeptics. This is even dividing families. Perhaps prayer is our only hope, prayer and the Holy Eucharist. And defending the truth. And trying to remain in a state of grace at all cost now. I had to go out of town last weekend. The place is 3 hours away so I stayed overnight. There is no Traditional Latin Mass there, only Novus Ordo. So I attended the local Novus Ordo Mass up there. The community was lovely and very welcoming. They even invited me to morning tea after Mass and helped me even to organise a property manager which I need up there and some trades people. So it was a great experience, a lovely Church community, I am thankful to have met them. But I noticed the Mass was attended predominantly by old people. Even though the Church is connected to a Catholic school, I saw hardly any school children there, apart from a few, including the kids of the school principal who was also the music director for Mass. The music was non-traditional (including a guitar) so I could not sing along. Hardly anyone sang along in this Novus Ordo Mass. Some old ladies wanted to say a Rosary before Mass, in the Church. I sat down to join them. The principal & music director came over and said: "No Rosary today. You can pray the Rosary by yourself, silently." Remember Luke (Mac) had said on this forum: Novus Ordoism is not Catholicism. No Rosary today?! Let us pray the Rosary daily!
Pachamama is ok then, Padraig? The Pope took part in such a ceremony at the Vatican. Would you participate in pachamama idolatry out of holy obedience?
Interesting article about the limits of papal authority. https://www.catholiceducation.org/e...s-no-authority-on-the-limits-of-the-pope.html
Quote from that article -- The pope is best who does the least; the pope is best who is known the least; the pope is best who is the least among us: the servus servorum Dei whose task is to resist doctrinal innovations — and nothing more. One does not prize "creativity" or "individuality" or "outspokenness about cutting edge issues" in the gospel writer, biblical translator, or the iconographer: their jobs are to hand things on (traditio) as exactingly as they have received them. The same applies to the pope.
Dear Michael…DITTO to everything you said here….you expressed it so well! It certainly feels as though we are engaged in the final battle. Every faithful catholic I know personally feels the same. If we are faithful to our rosary and prayer, I trust the outcome to Gods Holy will.
I recently read "AA-1025: The Memoir of a Communist's Infiltration into the Church" and one of the things he said that really stuck with me was that part of his job was to make sure that the pope was always talked badly about. He put writers in place all throughout the journalist world to constantly be criticising the pope from both the Left and the Right. The aim was to whittle away at the spirit of holy obedience and respect for the Holy Father. That was vital to the mission of the Communists! And now look at us Catholics with our constant opinions and criticism. Pope Francis does just about nothing right in our eyes and we have no qualms blasting his faults all over the internet for all to see. I am just as concerned as anyone here about what Pope Francis has done and seems to be doing. I don't know why God allowed him to be elected our pope, but He did. We have always been taught that the Holy Spirit chooses our pope through the cardinals...but bloggers with theories have managed to convince some of us that Pope Francis wasn't validly elected. I don't know if that's true, and neither does anyone else, so don't we owe Pope Francis the benefit of the doubt, and thus respect? None of us here were put into the high ranks of the Church. So what is our role? Our Lady of Good Success is quoted often here lately. I'd like to point out a few things about this apparition that is very dear to my heart. Our Lady spoke of this time in the Church, she called a dark night, and she spoke of the remedy, the beloved "Prelate" that would be sent to restore the Church. "In this epoch, the Secular Clergy will be far removed from its ideal, because the priests will be careless in their sacred duties. Losing the divine compass, they will stray from the road traced by God for the priestly ministry and they will become attached to wealth and riches, which they will unduly strive to obtain. “How this Church will suffer on that occasion the dark night from the lack of a Prelate and Father to watch over them with paternal love, gentleness, strength, discernment and prudence! Many priests will lose their spirit, placing their souls in great danger." Sounds like what's happening right now! So what did Mary want us to do about it? "Pray insistently without tiring and weep with bitter tears in the secrecy of your heart, imploring our Celestial Father that, for love of the Eucharistic Heart of my Most Holy Son and His Precious Blood shed with such generosity and by the profound bitterness and sufferings of His cruel Passion and Death, He might take pity on His ministers and quickly bring to an end those ominous times, sending to this Church the Prelate who will restore the spirit of its priests." Pray, and weep secretly in our hearts (not fight, criticize, and undermine the authority of our current pope). That is our duty, and how we can help, but we spend a lot of our energy complaining and rebeling instead. God and Mary will come to our rescue! She promised it! We do not have to save ourselves. But look at the reason Mary gave for why the arrival of the great prelate will be delayed: "The tepidity of all the souls consecrated to God in the priestly and religious state will delay the coming of this Prelate and Father." We aren't priests or religious, but tepidity, or lukewarmness, applies to us too. Are we truly on our knees crying to God day and night, and offering sacrifices for the restoration of our Church? I know I'm not doing a good enough job! I mean, all of us here lament the terrible times we're in and feel helpless, but every single one of us has exactly what we need to hasten God's rescue: all the time available to us in our state of life to "pray and weep" before God and turn His merciful gaze upon us. There is no need for our righteous anger or disobedience. Mary certainly didn't call for either of those. She didn't tell us to fight back and save ourselves. SHE is coming to rescue us. She has told us all we need to know. When we finally do OUR part--praying "insistently without tiring" and weeping in the silence of our hearts--there is a glorious end ahead: "Pray insistently without tiring and weep with bitter tears in the secrecy of your heart, imploring our Celestial Father that, for love of the Eucharistic Heart of my Most Holy Son and His Precious Blood shed with such generosity and by the profound bitterness and sufferings of His cruel Passion and Death, He might take pity on His ministers and quickly bring to an end those ominous times, sending to this Church the Prelate who will restore the spirit of its priests. “ My Most Holy Son and I will love this favored son with a love of predilection, and we shall gift him with a rare capacity, humility of heart, docility to divine inspirations, the strength to defend the rights of the Church, and a tender and compassionate heart, so that, like another Christ, he will assist the great and the small, without despising the more unfortunate souls who ask him for light and counsel in their doubts and hardships. With divine suavity, he will guide the souls consecrated to the service of God in the cloisters, making light the yoke of the Lord, Who said, ‘My yoke is sweet, and my burden light.’ “Into his hands the scales of the Sanctuary will be placed so that everything is weighed with due measure and God will be glorified. "This, then, will mark the arrival of my hour, when I, in a marvelous way, will dethrone the proud and cursed Satan, trampling him under my feet and fettering him in the infernal abyss. Thus the Church and Country [Ecuador] will finally be free of his cruel tyranny."
Funny, you sound exactly like me 5 years ago. I left the forum because I was convinced we had to honor and respect Pope Francis because he's the Pope and that's the way it is, and Padraig and a few others were daily posting vitriol about Pope Francis and attacking him, go read the archives, it's all there. Accusing him of all kinds of stuff. I felt that a "good Catholic" should not be doing that. So I left the forum for a long time. And today here we are, I finally woke up after 7 years of watching Pope Francis being the worst Pope in my lifetime, just an abomination. And I came back to the forum because Padraig was and is 100% correct about Pope Francis, the end times have begun (not "the end" but the end of these times) and we're on the verge of the minor tribulation. It doesn't do any good to hope that we're all just under diabolical disorientation and Pope Francis really is a good Pope. Nope, the body of evidence is overwhelming. The best we can do is Trust, Pray our hearts out as our Lady asks, including for our Pope, Bishops, and Priests remembering that God is in charge, and we have to Trust that He has a purpose in allowing this to happen and we have to stick with the True Magisterium and reject error. We have to be active and defend Truth whenever we face error and the evil one's lies, and we have to prepare our souls and our families souls, both spiritually and temporally, cause we're in for a rough ride (unfortunately we've seen nuthin' yet). Them's the facts, I don't like them, but we have to face them and have no Fear, I'm certain that God does have a plan
I wasn't a registered member of the forum at that time, but I was there as a silent observer through the whole thing, and I remember well. I was very sorry to see so many good people leave. You are a fighter with a strong love for the Truth, and God will use you, I'm sure of it. Let Him remove any bitterness so you may fight on your knees first with great peace, then carry that peaceful confidence into the world.
FatimaPilgram, You are 100 Percent Correct! We are in heck of a lot of trouble because No spoke out when they should have like Our Lady said would happen! How many Catholics have been damned because of what has come out of the mouth of bad priests, bishops, cardinals, and even the Pope? How many Catholics believe that homosexually is ok now because of James Martin, and now the pope praising him? How many Catholics believe abortion is ok? When the Pope praised a leading abortionist that murdered 10,000 babies?Pope calls Italy’s foremost abortion promoter one of nation’s "forgotten greats". How many Catholics believe Pagan worship is ok now, because our Pope celebrated Mass at St. Peters with that abomination in the Holy Catholic Church? So many more examples I could list. But of course, while we lose our church, we should never talk badly about the Pope! When do we get to say something? How many more souls could be damned while we remain silent?
But have we really remained silent? I'm pretty sure the opposite is true. Everyone in the Catholic and Christian world has been talking about what the pope is doing. Everywhere I see Protestants mention Pope Francis, it's always something like "Even the Catholics agree he's evil." No, people haven't remained silent, and the complaints haven't fixed anything because that's not what Our Lady called us to do.
Yes. And many Catholics are praying and fasting for souls so we do not know how many souls are lost. That’s only known by God. Jesus, I trust in You, take care of everything.
Below you will find Padraigs original post which started the “Vatican has fallen “ thread back in 2016. I don’t think anyone here can deny that events only proved he was right back then. But what is being discussed here is the matter of obedience. Padraigs post: I want to make it quite clear that the Vatican itself has fallen. As Far as I can tell this is as a result of some kind of Masonic/ Satanic conspiracy during the course of the last Papal Election. Many prophecies have indicated that this might in fact occurred and this seems indeed to have been the case. We have a seeming Pope who is not in fact a Pope because he is not in fact a Catholic. Nor indeed are most of the Cardinals who organised this and the fellow travellers who he has promoted to the position of Cardinals. As far as I can tell most of the Faithful Cardinals and Bishops are running about like scared chickens who about to have their heads cut off. Gentlemen who are have too much to loose and are afraid of loosing it. Apparently a reign of terror is in place in Rome and they are trying , so far with some limited success, in keeping the news away from the widerCatholic world. But, in fact a Masonic /Satanic conspiracy has indeed led to a take over. It is up to the ordinary Catholics like ourselves to take the Church back from this band of terrorist brigands. All we have to do is to roll our sleeves up and do it. Let's take our Church back again. Let's tell Satan and his henchmen they can't have it. No way. LET'S UP ONEHELL OF AFIGHT.
Oh, I don't have any bitterness, mabye my sarcasm comes across like that but it's humor cause if we can't laugh about the state of affairs we're in then we're gonna cry, and there's no crying in baseball, sister God blesses us all with various charisms and one of mine is to face reality as it is, not as it was, or as I wish it to be. Then take that reality and deal with the situation at hand without worrying about the past. Our most cherished pastor, God rest his soul, used to say at every homily, "don't waste time worrying about what happened yesterday or what is to come tomorrow, just do the best you can today in the moment".
Of course we get to say something, in fact, we required to defend Truth and oppose error. Don't let the evil one ever browbeat you into submission, stand firm
Whoa, if we ban Padraig now, who's gonna run the forum? That's some irony right there and of course I jest, but mabye everyone needs to recalibrate. 1st off, the TLM hasn't been stricken down, there's rumors, but it hasn't happened, mabye take them up if/when it happens. What's happening today is quite enough on our plate. Pray, Hope, Don't worry, but yes, let's up one hell of a fight
