Vatican orders US bishops to hold back statement condemning Biden’s plan to pursue ‘evil’ policies

Something I've recently done is set up a prayer table. I actually set mine up on shelves in my walk-in closet, haha, but its perfect because i can stop in, close the door, and have a quiet moment of prayer. I've been slowly adding to it. The main focus is a large Our Lady of Good Success statue, joined by a plaque of St. Joseph, picture of OL of America, a crucifix, and a picture of St. Michael the Archangel (with a stone from his cave placed in front). I also have a purple scapular hanging from one of the shelves. I've made sure that each religious item I've added is part of a devotion I pray every day. For instance, in front of St. Joseph's plaque I have 2 prayer cards lying, prayer side up, so I can kneel or stand and read the prayers before his image. Then I move to the OL of America picture where I have two printed prayers lying in front and pray those, etc. I pray for everything from my individual family needs and protection, to the conversion of sinners throughout the country and world. I don't let myself start the day without completing all of my prayers. I'm building slowly so I know how much I can accomplish (I have 3 little ones needing diaper changes, clothes and breakfast! Lol) My next step is to begin a midday prayer time in the prayer closet.

As I make breakfast for the kids, I put on my Latin rosary cd and pray along with it the best I can. I have my phone set to chime church bells at noon and 6pm and we all drop what we're doing to pray the angelus. In the evening we pray the family rosary with my husband and he reads to us from the Bible if the kids aren't being too crazy, lol.

I want to get better about praying regular chaplets, and doing real fasting, rather than just offering things up here or there. At night I talk with God and my favorite saints like Padre Pio, and I try to pray "Jesus, Mary, Joseph, I love you, save souls" throughout the day when I'm doing things around the house. It saves a soul each time! My mother taught it to me when I was little. There's also an amazing prayer I've prayed every night since I was 10, where you offer every heartbeat and breath you'll have while you sleep as a prayer of love and atonement for sins. It's wonderful to think all those hours of sleep will be put to use saving souls and comforting Jesus!

I would love to hear what others are praying, to get ideas for building my prayer life. I think it's a wonderful idea to share prayers and encouragement with each other! Biden becoming president should do nothing but ramp up our prayer life even more... Prayers for his conversion will do a great good for our country, as God will use them for whoever has even the tiniest crack open for grace to slip through.

I have a prayer altar on my tall dresser with Our Lady of Grace, His Sacred Heart prayer card leaning against her, plus an image of Our Lady resembling a statue near Medjugorje next to her statue. Between them I have a bottle of Holy Water.

I have a blessed green scapular for conversion. I daily pray for my family, my Dad, asking St Joseph, my Mom & Blessed Mother to pray for them. That they grow more open & closer to Christ & accepting of Blessed Mother & we remain well and in their protection.

Always I pray God's will to be done & to see and live the why, who, how, what, when according to His will. Based on this I pray for clear discernment in Christ's will.

My Dad has taken up reading my book on Medjugorje. I have again gently encouraged him if he might decide he wants to join my group or just my director/his wife & I for 9 days there this sumner.

 

He does have the right and his bishop has authority over him. He can continue to blame others for his problems with language that isolates himself and others all he wants clearly. It is doing nothing to help the situation and instead making it worse.

I said originally they have far greater responsibility than I, not sure what else I can say besides obviously, good or bad God has a plan for them and clearly I don't know what it is. They profess to be Catholics and seem to be way out on the fringe on these issues but so do people all over these days. More and more of us are on the outer fringes of the body and easy pickings including here. If we remain in charity and love our neighbor however we just may remain in the main body and not be quite so easily lead astray.

 

The heading on this thread is about the Vatican ordering the Bishops to hold back their statement condemning Mr Biden for his evil policies.

I believe in the time of Pope Paul VI the Canadian Bishops defied him and instructed everyone that artificial contraception was ok, in opposition to what the Pope had said. I think the damage influenced people in many other countries. Surely that was in defiance against the Holy Father Paul VI.

Then what puzzles me is we heard that Saint John Paul II had said his authority stopped at the door of his office. In other words the Bishops ignored his instructions, and we know the Bishops did their own thing like a bunch of little kings of their own territory for years.

I believe the same problem continued with the papacy of Pope Benedict.

How come all of a sudden the Bishops jump to attention when Pope Francis issues an order.

Were all these Bishops looney left for decades and only recognise the voice of their master when Pope Francis speaks. All very odd.

 

This is just my opinion, but I think Pope Francis has leftist leanings. That may be why the bishops are listening. It would be interesting to see what the bishops would say otherwise. I mean, I'm sure there are a few bishops who aren't falling for this "Keep your mouth shut" bit by the Pope. We must pray for all in authority over us, whether it be political or spiritual. May there rise up those with enough conviction of the truth to boldly speak it and live by it. May we also have that conviction and courage, and pray that our lives speak what we really believe so that others would be attracted to the truth that only God has.

I would say it is , 'Divisive' , to stand up for the Truth. For me standing up for the Truth is not about being, 'Right Wing', of , 'Left Wing' , it is about simply standing up for the Truth.

This becomes more important when speaking the Truth we are speaking on behalf of the millions of unborn babies who are murdered in their mothers womb each year.

Is this , 'Divisive'? I would say it is because it places clear water between Evil and the Right. But being committed tot he Truth is not about trying to win popularity contests. If you were to ask me the true source and of much of the evil in the World at the moment, including the Virus and the divisions among men I would say it is the Sin of Moloch. The Gravest possible sin of the mass murder of the totally innocent. Nothing, nothing at all is going to get better in the World in fact it will get far, far worse until this sin is stopped.

There can be no compromise in this. If this cause division so be it. Jesus Himself said He would be a source of Division , that He had come not to bring Peace but the Sword.

There are some things worse than Division , one of them being Compromise or Silence in the Face of Total Evil. ..and Abortion is total, total Evil.

You know this morning as I was walking over the Mountain in the snow I was thinking and praying a lot about Pope St John Paul 2 the Great. He is the total reverse of Pope Francis. We need to go back to this Great Saint.

 

For me I do not know what I would have done if God had not sent him. He is so clear on all the hot topics, wonderful.

The situation can't get any worse than Bishops refusing to stand for life and punishing those who do.

We do know God's plan for Biden and Pelosi. It's the same plan for every human being. Eternal salvation. Praising politicians for attaining power when they have professed to use that power to spread and fund devotion to Satan's sacrament of abortion in developing countries is pure evil. Evil, whether it comes from a Bishop or a raod sweeper, it's evil. Failure by a Bishop to admonish them for the evil or to warn others against them is equally if not more evil. Satan is the divider here. Those on God's side stand for life. Those on Satan's side stand for death. The Bishops and priests made choices. The Bishop compounded his evil choice by punishing the priest who stood for life. It's really that simple, Don, no matter how uncomfortable it makes us feel.

Don't dress up as love the failure to confront evil. Jesus told us that if we love him we will keep his commandments. Where's the love for the African babies about to suffer at the hands of Planned Parenthood? Wrapped in a packet of condoms? Is that the new definition of love?
