We all know this but here it is again only I will quote Romans 2 first,
"So no matter who you are, if you pass judgement, you have no excuse. It is you yourself that you condemn when you judge others, since you behave in the same way as those you are condemning." It goes on to say that condemning is God's business not ours and assures us He will deal to everyone according to their deeds, believers and unbelievers. So it makes clear that judging means condemning. We have to make judgements, we have to assess, we just don't condemn. We are not qualified to do that. Only God is.
And now Romans 1 where it talks about how those who give their bodies to filthy practices have "exchanged God's Truth for a lie" and "worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator" It says God has abandonned them to degrading passions in which women have sex with women and men with men consumed by a passion which reaps its own rewards. The only reward, according to St Paul, for such behaviour is death because "they are well aware of God's ordinances" they deserve to die (he is not saying we should kill them but that God is just in His Condemnation) - and notes that such sinners "applaud others who do the same." This is the corruption of nations. These chickens have certainly come home to roost with the American ruling. Obama has brought down the judgement of God on his whole country. Àt least Putin has not given his country over to this sin. Maybe this is one way Russia will give America a lesson in conversion. Some cynics say that a moralist is just someone who has tired of his sins. This is meant as a put down but I wish we could all tire of our sins and I thank God for the sins He has forgiven in me.

 

On Judgment. What did our Lord say, "Ye judge a tree by its fruit". Servant of God, Father John Hardon, SJ., used to say in our men's retreats that "you had better judge wrong actions, lest your fall into sin yourself". I have always taken his wisdom to heart in order to discern and preach against sin, as did Jesus, his apostles and all who cherish the truth.

 

Yes I loved the clarity of Fr Hardon's teachings.

I don't know about all here but while I was totally expecting todays ruling I've been feeling such sadness and sickness in my heart all day long (just out of sorts). I was hoping to hear a statement from the Vatican or Pope Francis about todays ruling that would give some consolation but I haven't seen any as of yet.

My husband and I have felt the exact same way all day and evening long. Just an overwhelming feeling of melancholy and a deepening sense of the persecutions and suffering to come. It's hard to see the unraveling of our country happen before our very eyes, something we never thought was possible when we were younger. We ask the Blessed Mother to hide us under her mantle so we can make it to see her Triumph!

They are just lighting up for God to more easily see it when his angels sword of fire strikes it.

 

As a Christian I do not judge anyone for their preference as that is between them and God. In looking at the big picture, this is just another assault on life. This is why I feel sadness.

 

Wow. What a mocking gesture toward the Almighty God. This self proclaimed Christian in the WH is either ignorant or insolent. Does he not know that God sent the flood at Noah's time because of the immorality, specifically the sexual immorality of that time. He spared Noah because he was a just man and after the flood set HIS rainbow has a reminder of his covenant and promise to never flood the world again. And now Obama and his gay pride rainbow light up the sky to mock God's sign of reconciliation with man. Whoa to this nation. God will impose his justice. Mercy, mercy, mercy Lord.

Yes, their use of the rainbow is a total mockery..

And I would not be surprised if God's justice is imposed quicker and harder than any expect. I would not be surprised if it starts with just one thing that will snowball into a wrecking ball and destroy all that stands in its way getting stronger and faster as it swings What is sure is that the punishment will fit the crime. Perhaps there is a clue in scripture "they will recieve IN THEMSELVES due reward for their perversion" Perverts and fornicators
have already suffered syphilis and AIDS. It may be that what lies ahead will be much worse. All it will take to start the ball will be one. God save America, at least for the sake of the few, the faithful and the children.

 

At first I thought this must be a joke... that someone had photo-shopped the image of the White House just to show their approval. Then I realized to my horror that it's an actual picture taken tonight....

I never dreamed I would see the things I've seen in these last few years and I know it will only get worse very soon...

I'm a very blessed man as a local Church has a 5:30pm Mass every night and I felt called to leave work early and go to this Mass. The priest homily talked about this abdominal ruling but his message was to go to Jesus as it's the only place to go now. I have reflected on this homily and my initial anger and sadness is now moving toward knowing without a doubt that God is in charge. This is part of his plan - He is allowing it. My country is fading, but my focus is now on my true home. And my allegiance is to God and I find solace that despite some of our differences expressed on this forum, we are united and truly are now One Body in Christ - the Church Militant. And my answer to the rainbow WH is this: at the name of Jesus, every knee shall bend; Jesus is The Lord and He will cone again.

 

Strangely, I feel better now that the Supreme Court has made their ruling. This is it, it is the time we have been waiting for. We have heard the call to arms, and we are ready! Let us follow our Commander without fear! I feel totally at peace knowing God's plan is unfolding.

 

My first thought when I heard the ruling result was...have they no fear of God? Then I saw the white house and was totally disgusted. It is dark out now, so the rainbow is even more striking. my country is no more. not only this, but all the division being created, white supremacy accusations, etc. I will say it again. my country is no more.
