Well, just as I suspected. Again, why did he support Bill Clinton? Why did he say Bill Clinton was a great president? Why did he support him for a second term in 1996, after Clinton signed NAFTA? Please be realistic. This man is taking advantage of uneducated, frustrated working class Americans for his own benefit, not theirs. No one can change that much on all these important issues. Some of you need to look at economic history and see that protectionist policies and monopolies never helped the American worker. Free trade is what made the country great. Read about the American Revolution. We just have to keep the agreements fair. Please read more widely and don't ignore facts that you don't like. Can you please answer my question? Why do you think Trump supported Bill Clinton and all his policies on the economy then, but not now? What is the explanation for this? Here is one possibility. Remember Ross Perot?

I still don't see any responses to my questions. If you can't dialogue, you don't know how to be a citizen in a democracy. You are asking for a dictator, and it may be you will get one in Trump. If you can't explain reasonably why Trump changed on the war in Iraq, NAFTA, Abortion, Syria, ISIS, you can't say you have a good reason for supporting Trump. The truth exists no matter how rudely one keeps denying it. It is factually established that for Trump, everything he espouses now is the opposite of what he used to. That is the hallmark of a morally feckless person.

When facts have been established for all to read and one continually refuses to acknowledge them or engage with them, one is not honest his his or her responsibilities as a citizen in a democracy. Please answer my questions, Infant and Richard. Answer them without all-caps, without attacks, and without changing the subject. When facts have been presented in several posted articles over several days, to simply say the opposite, after you already said it, means you lose the debate. Please engage in a civilized conversation. Thanks.

 

I don't know how many times I can ask this one. Infant and Richard have denied that Trump has totalitarian tendencies. It has been requested of them many times now to reconcile Trump's interpretation of eminent domain with their view on this issue. Infant and Richard continually refuse to reconcile those two positions, because they can't be reconciled.

Dawn....I'm not getting answers from any of them either. My guess from reading their post from last evening and this morning is that they live in an alternate universe.

As hard as I tried to make sense of their convoluted dialogue with each other, I could not. Although they did converse in English, their conversation felt like another language to me.


Whatever issues they were trying to convey were unreconizable to me....although they might....might ...have understood each other!

I don't suspect that our attempts at normal, respectable, rational dialogue are going to go anywhere with them, but I'll continue to post relevant info for anyone who cares. I hope you continue to do so as well.

 

Are you both pretending to be this naive? Bill Clinton with Republican Newt Gingrich made some beautiful music together. We had a surplus and no debt in our government. That was HUGE! The debt we have today thanks to both Bush and Obama is our worse national security problem. Both of you either work for the Democrats, or are the perfect example of how scary America has become by how dumb we have become as citizens.

If you mean to say now that Clinton was good for the economy, then I am at a loss, since you disagree with NAFTA.

 

Nobody is disputing that Clinton made MAJOR mistakes that have contributed to our economic chaos of 2008. His trade policies and his abolishing Glass Steagall were disastrous. But at the time, he was wise enough not to use all our surplus for illegal unending wars that have bankrupted our nation. Please end this. You have to know by now, that Ted Cruz works for the same establishment that is in cahoots with the likes of Clinton and Bush. Even his wife is part of the Council on Foreign Affairs. The North American Union is part of both their agendas. Read up

 

Well, I am not sure that it is a bad thing to have devout Christians involved in those entities. Remember our own faith is a "global establishment", and we catch lots of flack from Protestants who are suspicious of us for just that reason. I want Christians and believers in freedom, democracy and the dignity of the person in these organizations so that they don't become what you suspect they are; it gives us a chance to turn the tide. It assures that our voice is heard. Thank you for clearing things up for me.

Well, no, I won't be on team trump, because I can't trust him on trade or any other issue. It is well established he has held the Democratic party's line for most of his life on all issues. He has changed his position on this and all the important positions and it is just not possible that he had an honest change of mind to that extent. It is just to0 convenient that he talked like a Democrat when he wanted favors from Clintons and he talks like a republican when he sees anger and frustration out there that he can tap into for his own ego boost. I have to trust someone who I vote for and Trump is not trustworthy or stable and not fit for the presidency as a result.
