I think we have to have a wait and see attitude. His new cabinet features some of the most committed ultra zionists any president has ever picked. So slim chance for peace in the Middle East. On the other hand there’s Tulsi Gabbard, RFK Jr, Tucker Carlson and some encouraging signs as several members pointed out above. Some serious analysts suspect the Israeli lobby and the military industrial complex have gained control or are on the verge of gaining control of his presidency. But as someone wisely remarked above (De Gaulle? AED?) “he’s all we’ve got”. In any case, God as always is completely in control. Col. Macgregor gives a somewhat somber analysis of what to expect in this interview from yesterday.
Well, a few things are certain: 1) Russia is making great and rapid progress in Ukraine. Regardless of Trump, Russia will achieve its goals. 2) Zelensky has been an illegal president since May, when his term expired. In my country, when there was a war, 1/3 of the territory was occupied and presidential and parliamentary elections were held regularly. In Ukraine, it is much less, 1/5 occupied and elections have been canceled, the opposition is banned, the church and political opponents are being closed or eliminated, and the government wants to send children of about 18 years old to war. They have lost over 500,000 soldiers, and over 200,000 have deserted, and this process is accelerating. People are being forcibly forced into exile, billions of European and American money are being laundered through Ukraine into private pockets, and big companies are making money. The European economy, especially Germany, has been destroyed because we were getting cheap gas from Russia that kept the economy going and was destroyed by the secret services (CIA, MI6) when the Nord Stream pipeline was blown up... Currently, the US, like the EU, has gone into so much debt with increased inflation that they can no longer finance the war, and Ukraine cannot fight because it has lost a large number of its vital population. Whatever Trump does, the defeat will be attributed to him. 3) A coup attempt was made in Georgia (a country in Europe) and protests like Euromaiden are currently underway, funded by NGOs, Soros, the EU and the US, in order to overthrow the pro-Russian party. The president, who was born in France and raised there and whose term is expiring, has called for unrecognized elections. However, her term is expiring in 3 weeks and she said she will not step down peacefully. The party that won has canceled negotiations with the EU until 2028. The Russians will not allow any Western proxy provocations on their borders. Not to mention the Middle East because things have come to a boil. Trump should also deal with internal enemies, i.e. the swamp that is deep, and he announced a fight against the Brics countries whose economies have grown significantly since 2017 when he first became president. He wants to impose 100% tariffs if they trade in their currencies instead of US dollars, which is the basis of US power since it exchanged its industry for hegemony through currency and oil trade in $. With internal subterfuge, it will be difficult to deal economically with China, India and Russia, which are no longer as dependent on the US as they used to be, and together with the Emirates and Iran, they control over 60% of the world's oil. In the end, when Russian reserves in the amount of 300 billion in $ were seized, confidence in the US dollar was lost, so there is no going back to the old way. There are too many internal and external enemies. Trump is a solo player, the Russians have connected with the Chinese and the Iranians and the Indians even more, the EU is unfortunately a vassal state, the American and European people do not benefit from globalist politics, they only bear the consequences and so on... The year 2025 will be interesting in the form of events on the political and economic scene...
I am beginning to get confused about the Israel lobby. Because I am not exactly sure what it consists of anymore. There seems to be a vast array of different positions within it. Many of those who support Israel also do not support wokism and all things belonging to the degenerate left. I guess what I am saying is that many Jews in positions of power and influence seem to actually have good will. While other Jews in positions of power and influence are extremely toxic and these also support Israel. I genuinely believe that what is going on in Gaza was orchestrated by the cabal, both sides of it. If the cabal gets taken down, I suspect the toxic Jews could be replaced by Jews of goodwill. I no longer see the Jewish lobbying as a single monolith.
Very true, and like everything else Jews have been infiltrated/captured by the cabal to a certain degree.
Point is, I wasn't hearing the call outs for prayers for Biden when he was president. Just anger and wanting him ousted. I'm guilty as well, i was one of those.
The anger and desire for Biden's ousting was well justified. Joe Biden has just pardoned his son for all his behaviour and actions going back to 2014, when both of them got involved in multiple shenanigans in the Ukraine. Just before Hunter Biden's sentencing and after months of declaring that he would not do this. I have heard that his son Jim will be next for a blanket pardon. This will cover their tracks in their involvement in the instigation of war with Russia, their theft of US tax-payers' and Ukrainian money and their role in the death and injury of hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians and Russians. And they get away with it.
Jews are like everyone else, capable of good and evil. They generally share the quality of high capability, so they can be spectacularly good or spectacularly evil.
I don't think it really applies. One can certainly pray for such an appalling sinner, but one also must call him out for it. Particularly, when it is so all-encompassing and relentless. This President has been an existential threat to his country and the rest of the world and is going to be extremely dangerous until his fingers are finally prised from power. Frankly, I've been too busy lately praying to God to spare us from WWIII to think of praying for Joe Biden, who has had plenty of Catholic education to guide him in his morals, to which he seems to have paid little attention. Maybe I am a hypocrite and should say an odd prayer for him. By contrast, I can think of few such egregious actions by Donald Trump during his last Presidency. The world was certainly safer from war, he packed the Supreme Court with pro-lifers. He made mistakes over COVID, but that was an unprecedented situation, replete with false information and contrived panic. If he carries on in any way like Biden, I will be just as angry, but it frankly seems inconceivable. Of course, the media wouldn't let him get away with a fraction of it, unlike the way they covered up everything the Bidens did. To paint Trump, or indeed any other president before him, even Clinton, as equivalent to Biden seems hard to justify. I don't think I've ever seen anything so middle-fingeringly arrogant in all my life.
Entirely proves my point here. Trump supporters gloss over everything he does. They blame all his faults on media, and think everything is conspiracy against him. He can do no wrong. It's a cult. I'm not on board. So glad I voted third party.
Not So . . .speak for yourself. Trump has multitudes of faults and not glossing over them. I hope your third party candidate is sin-free! We will see how Trump does if he makes it to his second term. I am terrified the powers that be are not going away with a whimper. I pray for Biden and for Trump and our world everyday. It is what we are called to do.
I happen to be in the Archdiocese of Washington and it is my Archbishop who said it was okay for Biden to receive Holy Communion. That was when I started praying.
If truth be told, I've nothing to boast about myself, when it comes to being virtuous and I don't think anyone is denying that Donald Trump is a sinner. Still, it's much easier to draw up a list of those people who are not. All the more so, when it comes to politicians. If you wish to elect a President without flaws, you will wait a very long time. The sins of Joe Biden that we know about are on a whole other level than those of Donald Trump. Sacramentalising abortion. Promoting and supporting sexual perversion. You speak of hypocrisy-his public flaunting of Sacrament and sacramentals. Unjustified warmongering. Complicity in genocide. There are some we only suspect, but the implications of this blanket pardon shows they were real enough-a war waged for the private enrichment of himself and his family. These things are monstrous. By comparison, Trump's are breadcrumb sins. Even Ronald Reagan was an adulterer who spoke a lot more against abortion than he actually did. In fairness, Jimmy Carter seems to have been the best-living of any president of the US, in my lifetime.
This is what is known today as purity spiraling. A great example is in the movie "the way" when the Irish writer kept going off on what it meant to be a pilgrim. Meanwhile the main character played by Martin Sheen was holding the ashes of his son who had just died. Trump isn't perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but if he gets things done that need to be done it is a huge gift. Fixating over his sins while the world burns and people are suffering is absurd.
