I love it when people tell the truth about me. I always thought people on the forum had too high an opinion like me. It is a little like salt on chips. :) I can never have enough salt on my chips, I can never have enough home truths told me about myself, bless them for their courage and love of the turth in telling me these things. :)

I believe we are heading for schism.

One thing to remember about all this is that there will be saints and sinners on both sides of the equation...at least for the first while.

However what we will end up with is athe True Church and a Fasle Church. The False Church to all appearances will be the true CHurch. They will have all the dough ..The media and GOvernment will support them . They will have the great Basillicas and Churches. They will own the Vatican. They will be swanning about in full rig as Bishops and Cardinals.

The true Church will be a Faithful Remnent. They will be despied and spat upon, imprisoned and killed.

However the Fasle Church will be eaten as though by worms from within. They will be like a sattelite that falls from orbit. Their ideas will be more and more Satanically inspired. At that time the wil l no longer have siants or holy people in their midst , they will be straight on the road to hell.

So anyway I am giving this is a warning. It will not so bad to be in the false Church right at the start, but people do not want to be on the wrong side of the fence for too long. :);)

For the false Church will be run by Satan.

    A word to the wise.

Hopefully they won't remain in the false church out of a sense of pride or stubbornness, or a misplaced "duty" to defend everything the pope says and does.

We really have to reevaluate any modern "messages from heaven" that claim this pope as something he is not, and any modern people who claim to be prophets in light of their past and future statements regarding this pope.

AL isn't a small misstep or temporary blunder. It is an integral part of an agenda.

People shoould be praying lots and lots that tehy may not be decieved by false sheperds at this time. Otherwise they will end up lost. They should also be praying very much for their families and those they love and the whole Church that they too may not be lost.

We are come upon a time of the Great Deceit. Ask Our Lady to hold your hand, don't let go of hers. Pray, pray, pray very much .

Bishop: Amoris Laetitia’s ‘intentional ambiguity’ means people will do ‘whatever they want’
amoris laetitia , catholic , thomas tobin

PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island, July 8, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) – It’s become clear that Pope Francis’s exhortation Amoris Laetitia is “marked by ambiguity,” and that seemed to be the Holy Father’s intention, Bishop Thomas J. Tobin wrote on Thursday.

In a Facebook post, the Providence, Rhode Island bishop wrote that the document allows for a wide range of interpretations and that is why so many prelates and commentators have different takes on it.

    He wrote:

Upon reflection, it’s become pretty clear that Pope Francis’ document on marriage and the family, ‘Amoris Laetitia’ is marked by ambiguity, and that’s intentional on the Holy Father’s part I think.

That explains why, in just the last couple of days, we’ve had very different interpretations of the document from two prominent leaders of the Church – Archbishop Charles Chaput of Philadelphia and Cardinal Christoph Schonborn of Vienna. And from many other commentators as well.

The good news is, that because of this ambiguity, people can do just about whatever they want. The bad news is, that because of this ambiguity, people can do just about whatever they want.

    Go figure!

This week, Chaput issued diocesan guidelines for the implementation of Amoris Laetitia that instructed pastors to uphold the Church’s longstanding practice of not admitting to Holy Communion the divorced and civilly remarried who are sexually active with their second partner. Chaput also wrote that the divorced and civilly remarried and those in active and open same-sex relationships should not hold positions of parish responsibility or participate in liturgical ministries because of the potential for scandal.

“As with all magisterial documents, Amoris Laetitia is best understood when read within the tradition of the Church’s teaching and life,” Chaput wrote.

In an interview with La Civilta Cattolica, Schönborn said that there has been an “evolution” in the Church’s view of those in situations it labels objectively sinful. Amoris Laetitia allows Holy Communion for the divorced and civilly remarried in some instances, he said.

“It is...possible that, in some cases, one who is in an objective situation of sin can receive the help of the sacraments,” said Schönborn, based on the discernment of “individual cases both in the internal forum and in the external forum.”

This is not the first time Schönborn, who Pope Francis picked to present the exhortation upon its release, has declared that Amoris Laetitia allows a significant change in sacramental discipline.

Since Amoris Laetitia’s publication nearly three months ago, it has been met with diverse reactions from Catholic leaders. Some claim it changes nothing; others have called it a “breach” with Catholic tradition and “dangerous” because of its seeming embrace of situational ethics.

I believe far, far, more priests, Bishops, Cardinals and theologians would be speaking out and speaking out much more fiecrcely and frankly than they are so far doing, but they afraid of loosing their positions.

    Of getting the chop.

  8. I just received a msg saying someone has posted something uncharitable about me and others on this thread. I checked the thread and don't see anything thankfully, but that is probably because the poster is on my list of "people I ignore"! I'm almost tempted to unblock a few to read it...almost :). Anyhow thank you to whoever it is for thinking of me and perhaps you could say a prayer for me.

This is what some of us have complained about. Debating comes from the Catholics. In debating, you answer the points of the statements put forward in the debate. You do not attack debaters, especially in an uncharitable way.

Regarding the form of the press release and the temporary anonymity of the signers, from the author of the press release:

"The most evident mark of God's anger and the most terrible castigation He can inflict upon the world are manifested when He permits His people to fall into the hands of clergy who are priests more in name than in deed, priests who practice the cruelty of ravening wolves rather than charity and affection of devoted shepherds ...

"When God permits such things, it is a very positive proof that He is thoroughly angry with His people, and is visiting His most dreadful anger upon them. That is why He cries unceasingly to Christians, "Return O ye revolting children ... and I will give you pastors according to My own heart". (Jer. 3:14,15) Thus, irregularities in the lives of priests constitute a scourge upon the people in consequence of sin."

Hasn't it broken already since the letter has already been sent to the Vatican? If anyone other than Dr. Shaw has the letter with all the signatures, then it's only a matter of time before all names will be made public and the pushback happens.

This is so very sad and could have been avoided with some honest dialogue with practising Catholics rather than the underhand, backdoor approach of dripfeeding proposed changes via atheist journalists, etc. that has been adopted to test the waters or soften us up for what appears to have been a pre-arranged outcome of a Synod. I hope the appeal will elicit some clear explanations of what AL is about rather than the vague whatever you're having yourself stuff couched in terms such as "internal forum", "pastoral accompaniment", etc. If nothing else, it might spare us any more of the "Ignatian spirituality", "the Pope is Argentinian" and "Jesus ate with sinners" excuses being used to gloss over what appears to me as a disgraceful disregard for the Hierarchy's duty to clearly teach the same Truth to the universal Church.

I am deeply troubled by Cardinal Schonborn who is so much admired by many and tipped to be the next Pope. Given that AL has caused so much confusion, his declaration of its infallibility strikes me as rather arrogant. That said, we must stick with the validly elected Pope unless a majority of bishops declare him to be no longer fit to hold office. I'm offering the Holy Spirit novena for the Pope and all the bishops. I will also pray for the people who dared put their names to the document.

Please don't let us get into personal attacks against each other or calling people (clerics or not) heretics.

It has broken in some Catholic media but it's not even a blip on the screen yet otherwise.

I've been cautioning against the use of the word "heretic," because it requires distinctions most Catholics no longer grasp, and not even these professionals are using it.

    Yet.
