I feel this storm sort of sneaked up on us in the NY area. They did predict snow but sort of the manageable 5-8 inches. It's incredible that we already have well over a foot and it's supposed to keep going until tomorrow. They are now saying 30 inches. Well thank goodness we have power, heat and looking out at really just a beautiful scenery. These are moments when you can have nice famiky time. We've been playing board games with kids. My daughter and wife are baking - it's peaceful. It got me thinking that as the "Storm" comes more at us in the future, there can still be peace through the simple times spent with family. To all my MOG friends in the path of this winter storm stay safe. Yesterday the National Weather Service predicted 4-8" here. Today we were upgraded to 18-24". Here's my Nissan hiding under 18" so far this afternoon: View attachment 4151
It brings back "fond" memories of Northern Maine! It's Ice Storms that I worry about down here!! Lord, I pray for all the Folks caught in Bad Weather wherever they may be. I'm especially thinking of our Comrades in Faith that attended The Pro-Life Rally in Washington D.C. and are now trying to get home. AMEN!! GOD SAVE ALL HERE!!

Not trying to minimize the storm, but we all know in a master if a few days it will be cleaned up. Thus us why this picture of a cleared out store scares me a bit. What happens when the real storm hits - when it won't just be a few days of inconvenience. Definitely a sign of the times. View attachment 4157
I wonder if anybody in the Glens Falls or ft Ann area of new york can tell me how it is there.... My parents live there. They are in their late seventies. I called but they haven't answered. I hope and pray they are not getting hit too hard. Please say some prayers. I thank you!

I found it interesting that his storm that hit was called Jonas. I kept thinking as I was watching the weather channel when they kept showing where the worst of the storm would be, they kept highlighting DC, Philly and NYC. They had the three cities circled under a dark pink circle expecting 18+ inches of snow. It looked as if those 3 were sitting in the belly of the whale. One can only hope that if this country is indeed in the belly of the whale that it emerges as Jonas did. The name Jonas/Jonah has been coming up a lot these days.
