Anyone defending Garabandal as "absolutely, unequivocal truth" may or may not be defending a deception. There is no way to know 100%. I defend my Holy Mother at all times. I do not believe this is from her.

 

It's very hard to watch people who disbelieve G wade into this long established thread.

Nobody minds if some one doesn't believe but if you don't like the hymn, don't sing it.

However, it is the message of Garabandal that is the most important element and I see that questions are not directed towards deconstructing Mary's words.


For a long time I have thought that when the miracle occurs, there might be little signs at all of the Marian sites to indicate where we have been blessed by Our Lady's presence. And we will all be very surprised.

In these times, it is very important not to dismiss anything. Declaring oneself to be right or wrong on anything other than our Faith is a little dangerous. Mary is appearing all over the Earth. We all accept this. She is willing to help us all if we are listening. Be alert and wise.

All of us are wrong on so very much so before declaring to be on one side or the other, wait. I imagine Big Signs are on their way to help us avoid arguing amongst ourselves. And I believe we don't have much more time. IMHO..Watch and wait.

Mary’s insistence on Repentance, Confession, Mass, Communion, the Rosary, all indicate that this was of God, for no other explanation is possible. Tell us all how satan is served ,how he benefits from Mary's messages ?

Ciszek , Venerable Padre Nieto, Cardinal Ottaviani (Vatican Prefect of the Sacred Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith) , Arch Bishop Carlos Sierra of Madrid, Spain, Arch Bishop Manuel Lopez of Mexico, Bishop of Fatima Joao Venancio, Mother Angelica and others, what was the matter with all of you, you were fooled !!

 

That's anecdotal evidence and not primary evidence of support. Primary evidence would be a letter signed by Padre Pio or Mother Theresa showing support for Garabandal. I am aware of no such primary documents. And even if they existed, they could not be used as evidence that Garabandal was true. Only the local bishop (or the Vatican) has the authority to rule on the veracity of private revelation. Appealing to the alleged support of Saints is a losing argument, Glenn.

 

Our Blessed Mother always defers to the local bishop when it comes to private revelation.

 

But you act like Garabandal has been proven true. For all you know the Blessed Mother did not appear there and in that case you have been defending a hoax or worse. Until Garabandal is declared worthy of belief it must be viewed through a critical lens.

 

Alleged ??? Now that proves my point . I am talking to brick walls ! Mother Teresa & Padre Pio were NOT alleged friends or believers.

 

I would rather have spent my life dedicated to spreading and living our Blessed Mother‘s messages of Garabandal , only to find it was not so,
then to have spent my days trying to discredit and insulting her and her messages,
only to find out THEY WERE TRUE ! (and having to face her and her Son ! )

Conchita received a letter, dated February12, 2007, from Archbishop Carlos Sierra of Oviedo, then the acting Apostolic Administrator for the Diocese of Santander, which read:

“I want you to know that I am open to receiving and considering all information about Garabandal, and would like to continue—as long as our Holy Father wishes me to serve as Apostolic Administrator—the work that my brothers at the Bishopric have already done in reference to this subject. What I have just done is authorize the priests to go to Garabandal and hold Holy Mass at the Parish, at any desired time, and to administer the Sacrament of Reconciliation to anyone that wishes to receive it. I am sure the next Bishop will promote further studies to examine in depth the Garabandal events and will send the findings to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith in Rome. I respect apparitions and have known of authentic conversions. How can we not always feel the need to open our heart to our Mother Mary to tell her that we need her protection, her help, her courage, her hope, her faith and her love when faced with these events! I encourage you to keep maintaining such devotion toward our Mother”.

Fr Luis made a great impression on me. He cried out "Miracle" 3 times as the girls were seeing Our Lady. The girls said he was also seeing Our Lady. A short while later whilst driving away from Garabandal he exclaimed in front of witnesses

"I am so happy. What a favor the Blessed Virgin has bestowed on me. How fortunate we are to have a mother like her in heaven! There is no reason to fear the supernatural life. The girls have given us an example of how must act with the Blessed Virgin. There is no doubt in my mind that the things involving the girls are true. Why should the Blessed Virgin have chosen us? This is the happiest day of my life." Then he bowed his head and died.

What I find as proof that Garabandal is authentic is the actual messages to the world, from Our Lady of Garabandal.

I don't believe the devil would be telling us any of the following things in these messages. In fact I think that if the world complied with these messages the devil would loose souls!

was on October 18, 1961:
Many sacrifices must be made... much penance must be done... we must pay many visits to the Blessed Sacrament... but first of all we must be very good... already the cup is filling, and if we do not change we shall be punished.

I do admit, I find you a fool. You did not answer any of the things I mentioned. You only (tried) to "square peg/round hole" it again and confuse the situation. SO, until you answer those points, your word is irrelevant.

 

I don't argue with the messages or even state that its from the devil. I believe this may be from a 12 y/o's imagination and influenced by fellow conspirators.
