In most circles, the term 'Mother Nature' is understood to mean a personification of nature, a symbolic representation of the forces of the earth, not an actual deity. Being a Catholic and caring about the earth are compatible views. When nature is sickly, so are we. It's right and rational to care about protecting our natural resources. On the other hand, a growing number of people put nature ahead of humanity, giving more value to the life of a humpback whale than a person, seeming to forget that humans are part of nature too. This when the love of Mother Nature becomes a diabolical thing. The devil is all about attacking human dignity. Maybe that was the intention of the videos's producers. Maybe not. As a viewer I chose to interpret the videos based on my own Catholic worldviews. Nature is a gift from God. We should be thankful and not take it for granted.
To me it seems that the world at large are putting in the place of God the creation and reason. How do we take care of the planet? Put together a UN committee then levy a tax on all citizens of the earth via worst polluters and emerging nations? Seems pretty convenient for world domination and slavery to me, after all, who gets to decide and by what measure? Is it really our sins against the planet via pollution which are causing the global changes we see or is it our sins against God? The result of which manifest in the earth just as it was in the beginning and it remains now. We tell ourselves pretty lies and end up with exactly the same problems we have because the real issues are never addressed. Conveniently this keeps mankind in everlasting bondage.
From my perspective Rain, it seems 'they' (and I do firmly believe there is a hidden, covert THEY) ...chip away from every conceivable angle at whatever represents God/Jesus/heaven and the idea of intelligent design. I think they do this in every sphere of life. In this instance: our use of language - which is craftily shaped by them. They do it with the goal of usurping God with seemingly harmless terms, such as mother nature; mother earth and suchlike. Again, and this is just my personal view - these terms deflect from the creator. And attempt to eradicate Him from everyday life (as if!). This, i feel is a form of social construction: whereby terms such as 'mother nature' actually evolve into everyday language and into phrases like 'the universe'. Im probably not explaing myself very well. But let me give an example, "Mother nature has a great capacity to heal herself" This phrase then evolved over time - and is used in everyday conversation, but became.... "The universe doesn't have this or that planned for me..." I think this is a subtle massaging of language. Some ppl find this use of language 'cool' or hip or chic. It has reached a point where it's now uncool to speak of God in the public square. Quite a brilliant plan as a matter of fact, and certainly very crafty! Our enemy is as intelligent as he is evil.
What you're saying Don, if I'm picking you up right... is that THEY are telling us that its man made pollution; when in fact it's our sins that are causing the earth (with God's will) to heave.
What they are actually saying is that man is the central problem. They see man as a parasite on earth. They are the same people who promote population control and abortion masking it as environmentalism.
Yes. The battle lines are coming more and more into view. Here in northern ireland, many have realised that the battle is not between Catholic & protestant anymore. The battle is now between Christian and the rest! I pray each country will realise that the old divisions no longer carry the venom of the past. The old sower of discord - the real enemy, is coming into view. Internationally, the same is true. Old divisions, old conflicts (even newer ones are not what they seem). There are enemies within, on each side. The sooner we get out of our old trenches and realise this, the better!
Yes, they deflect the truth from that of the law of the Creator to that of the creation. They do this because they are cunning and their aim is simply to deceive and destroy mankind. My people are destroyed for want of knowledge! Yes they are and yet they do not know it. Look at the stories in the Old Testament, they all have the same few things in common with our modern day. Population control in various degrees like the command to slay the young Jewish males born in egypt, genocide or the slaughter of the innocents such as at the time of Christ's birth, and overall a deeply rooted hatred of mankind. Most especially those who are poor, weak, disabled, the widowed or orphaned, anyone who is a burden to them, especially those who remind them of their fate, those unable to fend for themselves, all those who are made in the image of God and rely on Him and those who honor Him in their righteous treatment of them. They multiply the sins of mankind on the earth many times over and in turn the earth heaves as it always has.
Interesting times ahead... I'd guess that it won't be too long before the Almighty intervenes. If it was me in charge, id already have intervened. Look at the state we're in: the worldwide slaughter of our babies, the disparity between the haves and the have nots, the hatred humanity has for one another, pornography, gay marriage, the disdain ppl have for our Lord and his holy mother, the apostasy, the greed, the crime, etc etc etc. How long will his patience hold...
I watched the first video. I didn't bother watching the rest after I heard someone representing the ocean say that he covered the entire planet once and can always cover it again. That's a direct contradiction of God who promised never again to destroy the earth with water. The rainbow is a reminder of that promise from God. Those using the sign of God's covenant with man to push their own perverse agenda would do well to remember that the one who made the universe can destroy it along with all their windmills and solar panels. We can clean the oceans and cut down on pollution without depicting God's greatest creation (mankind) as an enemy of the rest of God's creation.
