I think they will create a new diaconate for women where they will not be ordained. So a level below proper deacon.
The ordained ministries within the Church are, and have been from the 1st century, threefold: Bishop, priest, deacon. Can't get around it. Now back in 2013, I and others were handed certificates from the Bishop at the local Cathedral to indicate we had completed a 1-yr course of training in what was called "Formation for Ministry", but such was never presented as a step toward ordination; both men and women completed this training. But it was similar to a glorified preparation for CCD.

What you say is true. This is another scandal which should be addressed. We should be cautious not to assume the Cardinal is mired in such sinful inclinations now, but the public nature of such newly uncoverd facts should result in immediate disciplinary action. For the sake of the Church's reputation, he should be corrected and replaced immediately. Lord have Mercy!
Well it is Christ's Church, His spotless Bride, He will have to take care of it as I see no one else will. But I sense the fury of Heaven, the rage of the angels the demands of the saints, that heaven will not be long to act. Heaven have mercy on all these poor, wicked clergy when it does. Silence equals complicity. Keeping their heads down and hoping for better times will not help silent Bishops and Cardinals at that time.
