Yes. That quote made a strong impression on me years ago and now here we are. The other quote of his I remember is " when St Anthony's followers asked him if the men of the latter days would do the works that they themselves were doing he said no. The men of the latter days will be barely able to pray one Our Father. Yet they will be greater than we are because we battle Satan chained. They will battle Satan unchained."

Oh it's just a Lifetime movie, usually true stories. A lot of them are so sad.

I didn't know that about St Anthony of the Desert, thank you.

I came across this quite recent post on Malachi Martin, as a result of a search in the context of criticism by E. Michael Jones of his role in drawing up Nostra Aetate during Vatican II. I cannot disagree with this post in its description of MM as a modernist, in his younger years, because I have that mentioned book ‘Jesus Now’ and I can testify that I was so disturbed by it that I actually thought he was being ironic. I could never read it.

It is important to note that, despite his expressed reservations, he considers MM’s later conversion to traditionalism as genuine and his works a valuable insider source of information about The Church.

This is done on purpose to keep us disheartened. Spiritual warfare. Jesus is in us, around us and is carrying us. Keep your attention on all things good as best you can.

Yes, I think that regardless of what Fr. Malachi Martin might have done or said in his younger years, in the end he came right and tried to warn the faithful. This is evident by his warnings about the system trying to take over the papacy.

Similar things could be said about Pope Benedict XVI. He too came right in the end, in particular with Summorum Pontificum, elevating the Traditional Latin Mass.

Yes, he was after all a Jesuit which was at one time a great order dedicated to defending the Faith but somehow became steeped in nouveau theologie and the sophisticated philosophical mumbo jumbo that St. Paul warns against. It is remarkable that he had such a conversion.

Even Mother Angelica had her conversion moment when her eyes opened up to what was going on all around her. You can actually see this in the way she dressed. Originally she went along with the new kind of religious habits post Vatican 2 but then she went on to revert back to the pre Vatcian 2 habit of old.

I was listening to a series of Scripture talks she used to give and at one point she became very angry at Scripture Scholars who claimed that Jesus never knew who He really was. Mother Angelica had the most terrible temper she struggled with as those who lived with and worked around her could testify (also many others saints struggled with this). But I have to say I like to see these old talks were she gets angry. She only ever got angry because she cared. If she had not cared why would she get angry?

I wonder what she would do and say if she were alive today? Her poor old head would probably explode.:):)

But I was praying to Our Lady recently and have felt an inner assurance that we are going to get some very good news indeed concerning the Church soon, perhaps a Sign.

I would advise if the news about the goings on in the Church upsets you too much to switch it all off. To pray for the Church but not to get obssessed with the latest bit of bad news.

There is much good going on too. I love to watch especially videos of contemplative communities. Or lives of the saints. On good things. This is a great source of peace.

No wonder Mother Angelica got angry at those Scripture Scholars! Those men would, we can be sure, have had a very high opinion of their own intelligence. And were quite eager to lay on their ‘intellectual authority’ in order to propagate their insane ideas. I say ‘insane’, because how does any supposedly rational being come to the conclusion that the Second Person of The Holy Trinity, who is Omniscient God Himself and who is The Logos and Who incarnates His Divine Person in a Body with a Divine and Human Nature not know Who He Is? Only a theologian wholly ignorant of Catholic theology and who is also a fool could think such a ridiculous thing.

    Earth Sacred" – "Christ's Resurrection
    [IMG]

The Vatican newspaper L’Osservatore Romano publishes a monthly supplement titled Women-Church-World. The November issue is dedicated to the theme 'Daughters of Mother Earth' and features an image of Pachamama on the cover. A November 15 interview presents Sister Adele Howard of the Sisters of Mercy from Australia.

The introduction repeatedly uses the expression “Mother Earth”, describing the planet as a nurturing reality and claiming that “in the Earth there is the breath of the Creator God”. Humans “have within us the keys to connect with our mother.”

Sister Howard states that “through nature, God fills us with vital energy.”

Indigenous people are presented as models because they “perceive the sacredness of the Earth” and are "great masters."

After spending forty years among indigenous people, Sister Howard says that she can now "feel the whispers of Creation, its tears, which are the same as those of the poor".

She recounts meeting an Aboriginal elder at a waterhole who told her: "He is here," identifying the presence as "the Rainbow Serpent" without offering any further clarification.

Sister Howard adds that “Aboriginal people communicate with creation through dreams,” describing this as an essential part of their relationship with the land, sky, rivers, and oceans.

She calls on the Church to "lead people to understand that we are destroying God's gift of creation."

When asked where she finds the strength to continue, Sister Howard offers the puzzling reply:

"In the Risen Jesus. The Resurrection is energy. It constantly regenerates itself."

There's a really creepy movie from back in the '80's called "The Serpent and the Rainbow"....loosely based on a true story about a man who went to Haiti on an investigation.... This reminds me of that movie, which gave me nightmares for weeks after foolishly watching it.

This stupid woman, who seems to be impersonating a nun, must be so wrapped up in herself that she has become completely devoid of self-awareness. She has swallowed and syncretised just about every modernist fad there is. The next thing we’ll have the Pope blessing ice-cubes…oh, wait.
