Words from the Catholic missionary to these Amazonian people: Fr. Dalmonego observes: The Church is enriched "by research done on shamanism, mythologies, different knowledge, visions of the world and visions of God," the Consolata missionary stresses. "On the one hand, this can be branded as syncretism or relativism," he admits, adding, "We do not own the truth." His highlighted words say it all! May God yet change his heart! Lord have Mercy!
Here is the man himself - missionary is the wrong word for a priest like this. He was called up to be a participant on the Amazonian synod. Imagine he actually boasted that there were no baptisms on his mission! I suspect he is allergic to water.
Oh merciful Jesus please open his eyes. Shine Your light on him that he may see himself as You see him.
It is so strange, I see 40 priests in Brazil have committed suicide in the last seven years: https://www.churchmilitant.com/news/article/priest-suicides-plagues-brazil The article goes on to mention priest suicides in France, India and Ireland. A few of these relate to priests being charged or discovered as having involvement with child abuse. A few but not all. I am reminded to pray for priests. They are on the front line. Satan attacks them most. I remember the story I heard years ago from a hospital in Liverpool, England. It was during Lent and a devout Catholic nurse came down to a table with her lunch which was bread and water as she was fasting for the season. She was surprised to find the gentleman with whom she was sharing the table was also eating just bread and water and she naturally asked him if he was fasting for Lent to which he replied, 'No I am a Satanist and we are Fasting for the downfall of Roman Catholic priests and the downfall of the Church'. I have read from numerous sources that these twin aims are the tow big asks of World Satanists. Some Catholics may doubt that the Catholic Church is the One True and Apostolic Church and of the central importance but ironically Satanists do not have any such doubts at all. In fact a few Satanists are imbued with the power to distinguish between a Consecrated and an unconsecrated host in order the better to steal them. Everyone needs a strong spiritual life, but I think priests in particular need a five star spiritual life, simply on account of their vocation. Their lives really centres around the Mass and the Sacraments. In order for them to simply live their lives they need to have huge Faith to see the Spiritual Reality with which they are involved with. But I think more than anything to stave off attacks from Satan. I am not a priest but have a very active Spiritual/prayer life and I can see in my own life constant and sometimes very direct attacks from Satan. The only way you can fight these off is with the help of Jesus and Our Lady, but in order to get this help we have to ask for it. These days I would say a lukewarm priest is pretty well doomed. In fact things have gotten so bad, the Spiritual War has gotten so hot that I would say that even a lukewarm lay Catholic is dead in the water. It just can't be done. It there is one thing I would give Satan and the Demons brownie points for it is that they tireless and implacable. They both never give up and they never rest. In which case taking things Spiritually easy just won't do it to beat them. https://christdesert.org/prayer/desert-fathers-stories/ Abba Elias said, ‘An old man was living in a temple and the demons came to say to him, “Leave this place which belongs to us,” and the old man said, “No place belongs to you.” Then they began to scatter his palm leaves about, one by one, and the old man went on gathering them together with perseverance. A little later the devil took his hand and pulled him to the door. When the old man reached the door, he seized the lintel with the other hand crying out, “Jesus, save me.” Immediately the devil fled away. Then the old man began to weep. Then the Lord said to him, “Why are you weeping?” and the old man said, “Because, the devils have dared to seize a man and treat him like this.’ The Lord said to him, “You had been careless. As soon as you turned to me again, you see I was beside you.” I say this, because it is necessary to take great pains, and anyone who does not do so, cannot come to his God. For He himself was crucified for our sake.
75 More Catholic Schools Nationwide Say They Are Shutting Down https://www.zerohedge.com/political/75-more-catholic-schools-nationwide-say-they-are-shutting-down
Tragic. As they said, no point in sending your children to a Catholic school that isn't Catholic. So sad.
Texas Carmelites no longer recognize Bishop Olson's authority Fort Worth prelate started an investigation under church law of the community's prioress for allegedly breaking chastity vows https://www.ucanews.com/news/texas-carmelites-no-longer-recognize-bishop-olsons-authority/102334
Embedded in this link above will be found the prayers and instructions taught by the Angel of Peace to the Fatima children in 1916. https://catholicfamilynews.com/blog...eace-and-the-need-for-eucharistic-reparation/ Here they are: First: ‘Do not be afraid! I am the Angel of Peace. Pray with me.’ Kneeling on the ground, he bowed down until his forehead touched the ground, and made us repeat these words three times: ‘My God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love You! I ask pardon of You for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love You.’ Then, rising, he said: ‘Pray thus. The Hearts of Jesus and Mary are attentive to the voice of your supplications.’ Second: ‘Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, I adore You profoundly, and I offer You the most precious Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifference with which He Himself is offended. And, through the infinite merits of His Most Sacred Heart, and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of You the conversion of poor sinners.’ Third: ‘Make of everything you can a sacrifice, and offer it to God as an act of reparation for the sins by which He is offended, and in supplication for the conversion of sinners. You will thus draw down peace upon your country. I am its Angel Guardian, the Angel of Portugal. Above all, accept and bear with submission the suffering which the Lord will send you."
Yes, technically he's my bishop although I attend an FSSP parish in a different diocese. Until I move to my house in the country. Then my bishop will be Bishop Strickland.
Cardinal Burke wrote a truly wonderful document recently about the Synod on Synodality and how it is destroying the Church. He is well worth reading. He is so wonderfully kind and charitable, showing great discretion in what he writes. But he pretty well nukes it all. He is a wonderful example of truth telling while at the same time being charitable and kind. He reminds me we don't have to be nasty in telling the truth. Our Lady must love him very much, he resembles her in many ways,
Looks like those prayers were really made for our times. In our Lady of Akita, Our Blessed Mother wanted to add the word "truly" in the prayer of Bishop Ito so that it becomes "truly present in the Eucharist"... https://www.ourcatholicprayers.com/our-lady-of-akita.html Our Blessed Mother was not only concerned of Fire falling from the Sky in the apparitions in Akita, but also the sins committed against the Holy Eucharist... In the second prayer that you mentioned, whenever I prayed that in the past, I have also added "truly" into it , so it becomes "truly present in all the tabernacles of the world." But that is just me.
