He also said in the interview that although the Church’s doctrine cannot be altered, “our understanding” of doctrine can change, “and that in fact it has changed and will continue to change.”

Archbishop Fernández said the Vatican’s concerns were removed not because of any pressure from Cardinal Bergoglio. “He was confident that, if I answered the questions sent to me, everything would be resolved sooner or later.”

However, it appears that there were repercussions for Archbishop Bruguès. Pope Francis notably never made the French prelate a cardinal, despite him serving as archivist and librarian of the Holy Roman Church from 2012 to 2018, a prestigious position which has been led by a cardinal since the 18th century.

Two months after his election as pope, Pope Francis elevated Father Fernández to archbishop, but without informing the CDF, then headed by Cardinal Müller. Although popes are under no obligation to ask the CDF for a nihil obstat before appointing a bishop, Cardinal Müller said they usually do so in order to be sure the candidate is doctrinally sound.

In his letter to Archbishop Fernández on his appointment, Pope Francis appeared to suggest that the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith under Archbishop Fernàndez will no longer scrutinize the orthodoxy of theologians to the same degree that Archbishop Fernàndez himself was subjected.

“The Dicastery over which you will preside in other times came to use immoral methods,” Francis wrote. “Those were times when, rather than promoting theological knowledge, possible doctrinal errors were pursued. What I expect from you is certainly something very different,” the Pope wrote.

In a July 1 statement on his appointment, Archbishop Fernández said the dicastery in the past “was the terror of many, because it dedicated itself to denouncing errors, persecuting heretics, controlling everything, even torturing and killing.

“Not everything was like that, but this is part of the truth,” he continued. “Francis wrote to me that the best way to care for the doctrine of the faith is to grow our understanding of it, because ‘this harmonious growth will preserve Christian doctrine more effectively than any control mechanism,’ especially if we know how to present a God who loves, who frees, who lifts up, who empowers people.”

Dear God have Mercy on us poor sinners, when will this all end?

Mother of God come to our aid in our hour of need. What a huge trial this all is. My heart is broken.

Satan has taken over the whole building, lock, stock and barrel.

    Just as the Prophesies said.

    Appalling.

Are there no good Bishops out there to speak out? Not even o ne? Have they fled again as at Gethsemane? Not one with any courage but this tiny handful? In all the World. How we are shamed by our Shepherds. What a di sgrace.

Pope Francis Counterweights American Delegation to the Synod of Bishops

The Vatican press office published a list on Friday of 363 delegates from around the world who will participate in the Synod on Synodality this October at the Vatican.

It appears that Pope Francis has decided to counterweight the original US delegation of bishops with several other American prelates.

Most delegates at the Synod are suggested by their bishops’ conference or attend “ex officio;” meaning they attend as a result of their status or a position they hold. Examples include prefects of Vatican dicasteries and presidents of religious federations. But Pope Francis personally chose many of the delegates, including cardinals, bishops, priests, religious and lay persons.

The original delegation of bishops elected by the members of the US Bishops to attend the Synod are Archbishop Timothy Broglio, President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), Bishop Daniel Flores of Brownsville, Bishop Robert Barron of Winona-Rochester, Bishop Kevin Rhoades of Fort Wayne-South Bend, and Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Archbishop of New York.

The additional prelates hand-picked by Pope Francis are Cardinal Blase Cupich, Archbishop of Chicago, Archbishop Paul Etienne of Seattle, Cardinal Wilton Gregory, Archbishop of Washington, DC, Cardinal Robert McElroy, Bishop of San Diego, and Fr. James Martin, the controversial founder of “Outreach,” an LGBTQ organization recently featured in an exposé by CatholicVote.

The first global meeting of the Synod on Synodality will take place at the Vatican from October 4 to 29.

In a statement, the LGBTQ organization New Way Ministries expressed hope because “Pope Francis’ appointment of several high-profile U.S. clerical leaders to participate in the Vatican’s October meeting of the global Synod signals that LGBTQ+ issues will be on the agenda.”

Cardinals Blase Cupich, Wilton Gregory, Robert McElroy, Sean O’Malley, Joseph Tobin, as well as Archbishop Paul Etienne and Father James Martin have, in varying degrees, expressed openness to improve the church’s pastoral care for LGBTQ+ people. Father Martin, well-known for his LGBTQ+ ministry, is a clearly positive voice.

But the ministry also expressed its disappointment in the fact that openly LGBTQ+ people were not included as delegates.

“From the U.S. perspective,” the statement said, “a particular disappointment is the list of Synod participants put forward by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops: Archbishop Timothy Broglio (Military Ordinariate) Bishops Daniel Flores (Brownsville), Robert Barron (Winona-Rochester), Kevin Rhoades (Fort Wayne-South Bend), and Cardinal Timothy Dolan (New York), who all have made negative statements on LGBTQ+ issues.”

Business PERSECUTED Over Christian Beliefs: Ross McKnight Takes A Stand Against Pagan Pride Month

All true Christians know they might have to be put to the test for their faith.
Ross McKnight, owner of Backwater Foie Gras, joins Stew to talk about the woke mob’s anti-Christian campaign against his business.
On June 2nd, at the outset of Pride Month, Ross made a post on his personal Instagram.
The post was focused on the traditions surrounding the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a popular Catholic devotional subject that has been associated with the month of June for centuries, long before “pride month” was a thing.
But then on June 6th, while Ross was going about his daily routine of processing birds and prepping orders, he began to receive notices from several clients, telling him they would no longer be patronizing Backwater Foie Gras because the company was “homophobic.”
Thanks to the public hate campaign against his business, Ross estimates that about two-third of his original clientele vanished, costing the family thousands of dollars a month in lost income.
Ross, to his credit, has not backed down because he is not a fake Christian.
Fortunately, over the past month there has been an enormous, nationwide outpouring of support for the McKnights and their business.
A GiveSendGo to support the McKnights has raised more than one hundred and twenty thousand dollars.

The Sacred Heart is the image of Christ’s heart consumed by fire with love for all mankind.
The juxtaposition of Christ’s love with pagan pride that claims “love is love” is an irrational response to God’s love.
There is an old saying that the road to hell is paved with the skulls of priests and bishops.
This is a warning to clergy who would normalize sin and lead their flocks on a path to hell.
This controversy has glorified Christ and his rein over the forces of evil.

I must pray for him, the poor man, he appears to be dying, a bad death too, a little like Pope Francis who appears to be dying too the poor man. Prayers for both.

Prayers for our New Holy Father the Pope, he has a hard job in front of Him. May he at least be a good Catholic Man. Holding to the Truths of Our One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church.
Dear God have Mercy on the Soul of Pope Francis.

Dear God grant us a good Catholic Pope.

  8. ‘Going woke, going broke’: Catholic Church losing members and lacking spirituality

At the moment what we’re seeing is a process of the church going woke, going broke financially but also going broke spiritually,” Mr Loiacono said. “There’s no spiritual dimension anymore and when that spiritual dimension is lacking, people find no reason to be attracted to the church and its message.”

Worse that cashless, they really do want everyone chipped:

Top finance and banking Professor Richard Werner, a former WEF young global leader says the globalists ultimate goal is to implement CBDCS as a chip under the skin. The technology was ready in 2015 but they have delayed the agenda, implemented various crises to soften people up so they eventually accept itthrough universal basic income.

Does the new Prefect of the Faith want to change the Catechism of the Catholic Church?
(Rome) Victor Manuel Fernández, the new prefect of the faith appointed by Pope Francis, announced in one of his numerous interviews a possible change in the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC), specifically in number 2357 (homosexuality). Also under discussion, however, are probably the numbers 1571, 1577, 1579 (Sacrament of Holy Orders). Nothing would "lose meaning", according to Msgr Fernández, but everything would change, because it is important not to take the Bible "at face value". The appointed cardinal gave the interview to the Italian daily newspaper Quotidiano Nazionale.

Question: How can faith be promoted in a West that is increasingly indifferent to religion?
Victor Manuel Fernández: It is a relative indifference, because new forms of religiosity and spirituality are always emerging. At a certain point, when you realise that you are suffocating from superficiality, the question of religion arises again. That is the moment when, if we are attentive, we can have a fruitful dialogue.

Question: Is there still a need in the world to hear words of hope about pain, death and eternal life, and is the Church still able to address these issues that were once called "last things"?
Victor Manuel Fernández: Today everything is immediate and urgent, so it is difficult to make a proposal for eternal life. But in the face of pain, death, failure and abandonment, many are beginning to look at the wider horizon of existence. This is part of our message, and we cannot but speak of the call to a fulfilled and endless life in the unfathomable of divine love. Sometimes this message is ignored, but in other cases it is heard.

Question: Does a deeper understanding of the doctrine include overcoming homosexuality as "objectively disordered", a definition in the Catechism that continues to hurt those who live a sexual situation not of their own choosing, and also their families?
Victor Manuel Fernández: This is a problem of theological language, which sometimes ignores the effect it can have on people's hearts, as if it were indifferent to the pain it causes. But this is not the case, as you know, with Pope Francis, who would undoubtedly use different language.

Question: The blessing of homosexual couples is a sacrilege in traditionalist circles. Do they quote the Bible carefully?
Victor Manuel Fernández: There are biblical texts that should not be interpreted 'materially', I do not mean 'literally'. The Church has long understood the need for a hermeneutic that interprets the texts in their historical context. This does not mean that they lose their content, but above all that they must not be taken at face value. Otherwise we would have to obey Paul's commandment, for example, that women should cover their heads.

Question: And what would you like to say to Catholics who are disappointed by the stagnation of reflection on women's access to the diaconate, despite some ad hoc commissions set up by the Pope?
Victor Manuel Fernández: I say that we should not look at this problem in isolation. What lies behind it and goes much deeper is the discourse on power in the Church and on women's access to places where there is decision-making power. That is why it is important to give women the right to vote in the Synod.

Question: Does the possible ordination of married men, which was supported by a large majority at the Amazon Synod, undermine the doctrine or is it a possible hypothesis for the Church?
Victor Manuel Fernández: It is a possible hypothesis, as it is in the East. But the Pope must weigh a wise decision.

Question: What do you expect from the Synod of Bishops in October?
Victor Manuel Fernández: Unlike other Synods where I expected very concrete answers, in this case I prefer to wait and see where the Spirit wants to take us.

Question: Were you affected by the insults, also on a personal level, directed at you from traditionalist circles?
Victor Manuel Fernández: I expected it, but these are not the ones that worry me the most. There are other areas where operations are carried out to damage people's image if they do not conform to their ideological and economic interests. In these cases, Francis' social message is disturbing, and these are not exactly traditionalist circles.

The change of the catechism on the death penalty was a trial run for the change to 2357.

That these are the same people who want to rehabilitate Judas tells us a lot.

How blessed we are to live in such 'enlightened' times to be led by church leaders who think they are wiser than Jesus Christ.

    What staggering arrogance.
