I read a theory a few years ago that said that the conciliar popes inaugurated a kind of Babylonian captivity in the church that would also last 70 years, like that of the Jewish people, and that would cover the period of seven popes as well as the Avignon captivity.
Prayers for the good Bishop. I was listening to Bishop Strickland talking one time and he said that like Mother Angelica he had his own red pill moment. He was busy getting on with things in his own Diocese but got the grace from God to see that this was not enough. That he had a duty to the Universal Church to start to speak out and so he did. I thought it was so honest and humble of him to say that. I am afraid the head hunters are coming for him. But he can hold his head real high, he did the right thing.
You know the best thing I think you could do if you lived in a Lunatic Asylum would be to keep as much to your own company and to really turn to God. In the Book of the Apocalypse we see Mary fleeing with child to escape the Dragon. Its a good time to be with family, its a good time to be in Church, its a good time to say the rosary, its a good time to turn to God, its a good time to keep your own counsel and keep your powder dry, so to speak. A time to keep your temper and be careful of words. A good time to count who your real friends are. A good time to keep your own house in order. A good time for Wisdom and Discernment and asking the Lord for help and advice. A good time to keep your eyes and ears wide open and your mouth mostly shut. A time for listening more than fast talking.
I heard a wise man say lately that God gave us two ears, one to let sounds in and the other to let them out the other side.
Bishop J. Strickland... "To be persecuted for speaking truth is an honor every Christian should be willing to embrace. It is walking with Jesus Christ who is Truth Incarnate. If we know Jesus it is easier to speak His Truth no matter what forces oppose us. The opposition is temporary, Jesus is forever."
On the Terry and Jesse show they were talking about the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence which is most likely what Bishop Strickland is being taken to the woodshed for -- it was probably the last straw for the Vatican. Not only do these homosexual dudes dress up like Catholic sisters, but this last Easter Sunday they simulated sodomy between an apostle and Christ on the cross in a public park. How very uncharitable of the bishop to lead Catholics in prayer and reparation for the public honoring of these evil perverts at Dodger Stadium. https://virginmostpowerfulradio.org/19-jun-23-is-this-the-catholic-moment/ This type of action undermines all the Vatican and pope's recent public efforts to normalize homosexuality: "Oh, but there was an event at the Vatican on Saturday. They set out chairs in St. Peter’s Square expecting tens of thousands of people. About 200 showed up. Do you know what the event was? It was a “celebration of Human Fraternity” – as in FREEMASONRY. It was a celebration, on the steps of St. Peter’s Basilica, of religious plurality and of humanity in se. It was also, naturally a celebration of SODOMY, you know, because PRIDE MONTH. There was an open sodomite “dancer” who has publicly aped the sacrament of Holy Matrimony with some guy that he engages in posterior fundament abuse with, and then a thing that looked like a woman, but who in the hell can tell these days, caterwauled out the homosexual anthem, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” – because uber-fag-hag Judy Garland, and RAINBOW. Get it? (from: https://www.barnhardt.biz/2023/06/1...s-the-enormity-of-what-just-happened-in-rome/) And this from https://www.outlookindia.com/intern...ng-welcomes-lgbt-people-to-church-news-276449 "The Pope also spoke about the LGBTQ community and their relationship with the catholic church. He said, “All persons are the children of God, all persons. God does not reject anybody, God is a father. And I have no right to expel anyone from the Church.” According to a report by The Independent, the Pope made similar remarks in 2020, in a documentary titled “Francesco”, when he called for the recognition of civil union laws to provide legal protection for same-sex couples. He had called gay and lesbian people “children of God and have a right to a family” and said that “nobody should be thrown out, or be made miserable because of it”. Bishop Strickland needs to get right with the 'pope'.
Apparently at the New York Pride they were shouting, 'We're coming for your kids'. Pride, I hope, comes before a Fall. They're maybe committing a kind of suicide doing things like this and overplaying the hand they are dealt. Bishop Strickland is a very smart man and a Bishop so he must have known the end result of all this; that he would get chopped of at the knees for this and he did it anyway. So he is a real martyr. I think the folks flying in from Rome know the end result of their Visitation before they even get into visiting. They are a hit team and poor Bishop Strickland is the guy with the target on his back. My own guess is that USA loyal Catholic clergy and lay people are the number one Target for Rome at the moment. Is it any wonder? They have been marvellous and an example to the whole Church of how to do things right. But of course don't expect any thanks for it. Just more and more hit jobs. Perhaps Bishop Strickland getting deep buried may encourage other Bishops to speak out. Anyway his sacrifice will never be in vain. Cardinal Burke is saying Benediction in our local Latin Mass Church this Wednesday at 6pm and we are having tea in the basement afterwards to meet him. Very exciting. TO meet a saint. Wow!! I am learning a bit of patience and not to get angry and upset. This is a long journey. Who knows where we are going to end up? But we know that good will triumph over evil in the end, we have Our Lady's promise. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...ists-drag-queens-spark-outrage-NYC-Pride.html
Please God, we may have passed the point of peak 'gayness'. There are multiple indications that the tide is beginning to turn. There are reports of institutions giving instructions from the top to ignore 'Pride' this year. We have had fiascos like Bud Lite. The lawsuits against transitionary chemical and surgical mutulation have just begun. The biggest mistake was to invite the Trans people on board the pervert train. These people are intrinsically insane and evidently can't be constrained. In revealing their lust for young children, even from infant age, the trans crowd have let the cat out of the bag and people are beginning to see that this is what it's really all about. The whole phenomenon is a financial disaster for many companies that adopt it, as ordinary people vote with their credit cards/wallets. Once the perverts are seen as financial liabilities, their attraction will diminish. They will eventually find themselves on the 'wrong side of history' and will find their position in society returning to what it always was, with the help of God.
It's all money. I've read on a website called 'Maggies Farm', which reports on a lot of this insanity in the United States, that there is now a lesbian dating site in which men pretending to be lesbians form the biggest portion of the clientele. The female lesbians have been dictated to by the site owner that if they reject a 'male lesbian', on identity grounds, they'll be banned off the site. Undoubtedly, a good many of these supposed trans lesbians are heterosexual men chancing their arm. The whole thing is becoming a mess of confusion and the perverts are now starting to prey on one another. But the dating site owner will make a lot more money, for a while.
All of the posts above are very heartbreaking and they put an undue amount of stress on faithful Catholics. No matter what happens though, now or in the future, we can find comfort, hope and peace in; “And the gates of hell shall not prevail against it”
Correct, the pharmaceutical companies make money pushing the hormone drugs, the surgeons make money and the therapists make money.
And here's what's next: https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/p...rtist-who-created-image-of-crucifix-in-urine/
I try and convince myself that Pope Francis only knew him as a 'Christian artist' and was unaware of the specifics of his 'work'.
Strange priorities when this anti-art is honoured, while the beautiful art (and so much more) of the traditional Mass is banned worldwide.
Pope Francis appoints Argentine Archbishop Fernández as head of doctrine dicastery Archbishop Victor Manuel Fernandez./ Daniel Ibanez/CNA By Hannah Brockhaus Rome Newsroom, Jul 1, 2023 / 08:20 am Pope Francis has named Archbishop Víctor Manuel Fernández, his longtime personal theologian and ghostwriter, to lead the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith. The Argentine prelate succeeds Cardinal Luis Ladaria Ferrer, SJ, 79, who has been prefect of the dicastery since 2017. Fernández, almost 61, will take up his new post in the middle of September, the Vatican said. The prolific writer has been archbishop of La Plata, Argentina, since 2018. “As the new prefect of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, I entrust to you a task that I consider very valuable,” Pope Francis wrote in a letter to Fernández, published July 1 with the announcement of his appointment. The pope said the dicastery at times has promoted pursuing “doctrinal errors” over “promoting theological knowledge.” “What I expect from you is certainly something very different,” Francis said. “I ask you as prefect to dedicate your personal commitment in a more direct way to the main purpose of the dicastery, which is ‘guarding the faith.’” Fernández posted a photo of himself with Pope Francis on Twitter on June 30, the day before the announcement of his appointment as doctrine prefect. He said he spent the week with the pope and called it “the new stage for Francis.” “He works more hours than anyone else in the Vatican,” the archbishop wrote in Spanish. “Here he is seen tired after five hours with dense stuff, but after a siesta he was perfect and happy.”
