Totally ignoring the Lord's last command{not a suggestion} before He ascended to heaven:

Go, therefore,* and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, i teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.* And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”

Many Catholics donate to the missions. A mission that didn't baptise anyone in over fifty years is receiving donations under false pretenses.

It's hard to believe the broken state of the Church in the seventies. Almost worse than now. Thousands of priests and nuns had abandoned their positions, vocations and missions had collapsed and every kind of insane doctrine and idea was being freely discussed. St Pope John Paul II and his 'Panzer Cardinal' (Ratzinger) turned the ship away from the rocks and back on its proper course. For years they were the object of invective and hatred from the liberals, because of their loyalty to the Faith and to orthodoxy. They were obviously holy and genuine men. They are not on the traditional spectrum of the Church, nor are they part of the liberal side. The Church is a very broad institution and they tended to occupy the theological centre. They might have got caught up in unfortunate instances, as described, but the contexts were completely different. One can't compare a reaching out to the pagan with benevolent friendship with a regime that ascribes credibility to paganism and actively partakes in pagan ceremony. To express love towards a sinner is not to love the sin but to love the one who sins. This was the advice of St. Augustine. It is no way comparable with what Pope Francis has been up to. You see JPII with a Crucifix, you never will find a photo of him with a wiccan staff.

Why is Pope Francis so keen to demolish Pope John Paul's Institute of the Family?

I have seen loved ones in ICU .

I prayed; but I never walked away.

I was neither a Doctor or a Nurse.

    I kept watch.

    But I never walked away.

Love keeps the Feet and the Heart: Frozen.

Yes, I believe very much that the Church is on life-support -- but after death comes resurrection --

When all seems lost Our Lady will triumph.

Our Lady triumphed with the conversion of an entire continent -- what is coming is Her Triumph over the whole world.

On the very day of the Virgin’s apparition to Juan Diego, his uncle, named Juan Bernardino, was in his house prostrate with a long illness and almost about to die, when he had a vision of Our Lady with exactly the same features his nephew had seen her. Addressing him in the Aztec language, the Mother of God promised him a cure – which immediately came to pass, being the first miracle of its kind to occur in Mexican lands – and expressed her desire to be called Cuatla-xupeh (whence Guadeloupe) which in Aztec means “the one who tramples the serpent.”

This expression, says a scholarly Jesuit researcher, can either refer generically to the biblical Woman of Genesis, or specifically symbolize “the victory over the Aztec deity Coatlicue, derived from the serpent god Quetzacoátl, which has the same reptile form” (Caruso, SJ, pp. 120-122, 140).

In defense of Don, I think he is just trying to point out that the errors currently being promoted did not originate with this papacy. It goes back to the 1960's and even before. I have seen many of these pictures of Pope Benedict XVI and Pope John Paul II participating in "ecumenical" ceremonies. No photoshopping of images needed. There are plenty of real ones. If anyone is interested just look up the Assisi ecumenical gatherings.

That being said, those two previous popes were good orthodox Catholic Popes who made errors. What is happening now is on an entirely different scale and coming from an entirely different place. In my humble opinion Pope Paul VI, Pope Benedict XVI and Pope John Paul II unwittingly laid the foundations for what is happening now.

We also have to remember that the previous popes were working with an army of Modernists in the bureaucracy underneath them. Most of these minions made the day to day decisions that got us to where we are today.

In many ways those two previous popes are the reason the current debacle was held off for so long. The Modernists were hoping for a Modernist Pope right after Pope Paul VI, but God had other plans. Popes John Paul II and Benedict XVI were in many ways a dam against the Modernist tide that has now been loosed onto the Church. As soon as the current changes began a few years ago the bureaucratic minions all came out of the woodwork to aid in the revolution. If you want to know who is on our side look at who the Modernists hate. Popes Benedict XVI and John Paul II were very much their enemies.

Were they perfect men? No, but I think we need to cut them a little slack. We weren't in their shoes at the time. They get a lot of flack for things beyond their control. For example, Pope John Paul II was very much against altar girls and Communion in the hand. Those two novelties were put into place by the bureaucracy underneath him. Could he have fought back better? Perhaps, but again were weren't there so we should be careful about judging.

Once again all that being said, the current debacle for good or ill had it's groundwork laid in the past few papacies. It didn't spring from nowhere.

Is there something I wrote that is not true?
If so I will correct it. I was trying to portray the situation accurately.

You're sweet but I found it to be a little wishy-washy. I'm seeking clarity - less confusion.

Iow, I am not willing to put any blame on the past two pontificates for what is occurring right now in the current pontificate - no wiggle room granted to the current pope.

I agree, Carol. Brian mentioned somewhere recently on this forum that things turned dark after Pope Francis ascended to the Papacy. I agree with that.
I mentioned that the Church has undergone changes since Vatican II and that we all know that. But I question that Don has now seemingly trashed two Popes twice recently and I do question his motives, even if you don’t, Sean. Perhaps Don can tell us why he has done this. I would like to hear his reason. He does not tell us why, he just asks us a question. So I am asking for his motive, politely.
I don't think it is fair or kosher to put up a couple of provocative posts and then not answer up.

    Yes!

As Father Mark Goring points out in his latest video the Evangelicals know exactly what these poor folks want.

    They want Jesus, not Marx

And the Evangelicals don’t mince words. They don’t go along with any Pacha Mama or worship the trees crap.

They tell them salvation comes from Jesus. Period

And you know what - the simple folks love to hear that!!

I would love clarity too. I don't know how to make my own thoughts clear on the "Vatican" itself for the past several papacies. Who and what are they and why did popes seem to have no control over these things. Paul VI said the smoke of satan had entered into the very top of the Vatican. And yet does what? Who set up these "ecumenical" ceremonies? I shudder to think what went on while John Paul II was so ill. Benedict XVI was there and asked for prayers that he would not flee from the wolves. That was really a very chilling thing for Benedict XVI to say that his authority stopped at the door. We just had a discussion on a book written by Bergolio on the meeting with John Paul II and Castro in which Bergolio was present. I looked it up and an article stated that the Vatican asked Bergolio to write that book. Who on earth set up that tree planting{pagan worshiping} ceremony in which it looked as if even Francis was uneasy about? Well, I suppose I would drop dead from horror if I did have the answers. It looks as though the masons{ and I would say out and out satanists} are in control and have been destroying the church from within for a long time. Padre Pio said a long time ago that the rosary is our weapon. Sr. Lucia said The Most Holy Virgin in these last times in which we live has given a new efficacy to the recitation of the Rosary to such an extent that there is no problem, no matter how difficult it is, whether temporal or above all spiritual, in the personal life of each one of us, of our families…that cannot be solved by the Rosary. There is no problem, I tell you, no matter how difficult it is, that we cannot resolve by the prayer of the Holy Rosary.” St. Louis de Montfort said that Mary's heel would crush the head of the serpent and that we are Mary's heel. Our Lady constantly asks for our prayers, says she needs our prayers. Why?, because God gave dominion over the earth to men. God Himself came down to earth to teach us and to suffer and die and resurrect us from death and slavery to satan, to give us the power of children of God. Our Blessed Mother will triumph with her army{"Give me an army saying the rosary and I will conquer the world"-Pope Blessed Pius IX} Onward Christian soldiers! Be not afraid!

You know what else? I can not get the end of St. Mathew's gospel out of my head. It is booming through my heart and soul and will not stop:

Go, therefore,* and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, i teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.* And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”
I'm off to pray my evening rosary and that is going to be my intention in all my rosaries, for Jesus to put that into the heart of every person at that Amazon synod.

    Shutting up now, BYEEE
