HH, Thank you very much. Basically, I was trying to summarize Mr. Skojec's thoughts so he deserves the credit not me but thank you again. I think I just added my thoughts about the minor chastisement and maybe I highlighted how it is difficult to trust much of anything these days. I am thankful for this community where we can discuss what is occurring both in the Church & in the world and try to make some sense of it together. Edited with the following: I could not find any statements on the Vatican News website in relation to the recent statements that Juan Carlos Cruz has made in regards to his meeting with Pope Francis but I found the following article. Maybe after this next meeting occurs more light will be shed on why all of the Chilean bishops would offer to resign (?), 3 abuse victims from Chile who have already met with Pope Francis (AFP or licensors) Pope Francis to meet with second group of Chilean abuse victims The Holy See’s Press Office announces that Pope Francis will meet with a second group of Fr Fernando Karadima’s victims from June 1-3 2018. By Sr Bernadette Mary Reis, fsp In a communication issued on Wednesday by the Holy See’s Press Office, other victims of Fr Fernando Karadima’s abuse, or that of his followers, at the parish of Sagrado Corazón de Providencia (“El Bosque”) in Chile will meet with Pope Francis at the beginning of June. Members of the group Among the group are 5 priests who were victims of “abuse of power, of conscience and sexual abuse”, as well as another 2 priests who “have assisted the victims throughout the juridical and spiritual process, and 2 lay people involved in this suffering”. The group will be provided hospitality in the same Casa Santa Marta where the Pope lives The communique reported that most of those coming also took part in the meetings that took place in Chile with Archbishop Charles Scicluna and Bishop Jordi Bertomeu in February. Others collaborated in the weeks after their visit. Specifics about the meeting This upcoming June meeting was scheduled a month ago because “Pope Francis wants to demonstrate his closeness to the abused priests, to accompany them in their pain and listen to their valuable opinion so as to improve preventive measures and the fight against abuse in the Church”, the press office stated. Thus will conclude the first phase of the meetings that Pope Francis wanted to have with the victims from Sagrado Corazón de Providencia parish. The meetings will be conducted “in an atmosphere of trust and confidentiality”. On Saturday morning, 2 June, the Pope will celebrate Mass privately at Casa Santa Marta. In the afternoon, a meeting with the group is scheduled which will be followed by individual meetings. “The Holy Father continues to ask the faithful of Chile”, the communique concludes, “and especially the faithful of the parishes where these priests have exercised their pastoral ministry—to accompany them with prayer and solidarity during these days”. 25/04/2018 Burke names Chilean abuse survivors attending papal meeting 28/04/2018 Pope Francis begins to meet Chilean abuse victims 18/05/2018 Chilean bishops implore forgiveness for sex abuse scandal and offer to resign
Thank you for your posts which summarize and explain your views I agree that we are in some sort of Chastisement, certainly
This is an interesting article which I think helps us understand the current pope´s strategy. After reading it, the words of Anna Katherina Emmerich came to mind: April 22, 1823 “I saw that many pastors allowed themselves to be taken up with ideas that were dangerous to the Church. They were building a great, strange, and extravagant Church. Everyone was to be admitted in it in order to be united and have equal rights: Evangelicals, Catholics sects of every description. Such was to be the new Church…But God had other designs…” “I see that when the Second Coming of Christ approaches, a bad priest will do much harm to the Church. When the time of the reign of Antichrist is near, a false religion will appear which will be opposed to the unity of God and His Church. This will cause the greatest schism the world has ever known. The nearer the time of the end, the more the darkness of Satan will spread on earth, the greater will be the number of the children of corruption, and the number of the just will correspondingly diminish…” “They built a large, singular, extravagant church which was to embrace all creeds with equal rights: Evangelicals, Catholics, and all denominations, a true communion of the unholy with one shepherd and one flock. There was to be a Pope, a salaried Pope, without possessions. All was made ready, many things finished; but, in place of an altar, were only abomination and desolation. Such was the new church to be, and it was for it that he had set fire to the old one; but God designed otherwise….” Pope Francis' cunning long game Damon Linker Illustrated | ANDREAS SOLARO/AFP/Getty Images May 23, 2018 Pope Francis' stealth reform of the Roman Catholic Church shows no sign of slowing down — and may even be accelerating. Stealth is key here. If the pope had declared earlier this month that henceforth the Roman Catholic Church would authoritatively teach that homosexuals should be happy being gay, that God made them homosexual, and that God himself (along with the pope) loves them just the way they are, it would have been a massive story in the history of Catholicism — and one that quite likely would have precipitated a major schism, with conservative bishops and priests (mainly in North America and Africa) formally breaking from Rome. But because word of the pope saying these things comes to us second hand, in a report of a private conversation between Francis and a gay man named Juan Carlos Cruz who is also a victim of the clerical sex abuse crisis in Chile, the utterance will go down as just the latest example of the pope making unorthodox statements in settings in which he has plausible deniability and in which he can claim he was speaking as a pastor rather than as an expositor of the church's official dogmas and doctrines. Most popes view themselves as caretakers of the church's authoritative teachings on faith and morals. When it comes to homosexuality, they would therefore be inclined to reaffirm the position laid out in the Catechism of the Catholic Church, which clearly states that homosexual desires are "intrinsically disordered" because they are not oriented to the end of procreation. (The same is true of masturbation and other non-procreative sex acts.) Continue here: http://theweek.com/articles/774517/pope-francis-cunning-long-game
Well he certainly got this right; http://www.catholicherald.co.uk/news/2018/05/22/pope-francis-it-is-not-a-sin-to-criticise-the-pope/ Pope Francis: it is not a sin to criticise the Pope by Staff Reporter posted Tuesday, 22 May 2018 Pope Francis attends the general assembly of the Italian Bishops Conference (Getty Images) The Pope told Italy's bishops to speak openly about their concerns Pope Francis has told the Italian bishops that it is “not a sin to criticise the Pope here” as he opened their General Assembly. The Pope revealed three “worries” during his speech: the decline in vocations, financial scandals, and the reduction and merging of dioceses. He encouraged the bishops to “speak openly”, urging them to tell him “all the words, your concerns, criticisms – it is not a sin to criticise the Pope here, yes, not a sin – and inspirations that you carry in your hearts.” Pope Francis said he was especially concerned at the “haemorrhaging” of vocations to the priesthood and religious life in Italy, adding that “God only knows” how many seminaries and monasteries will have to close. He blamed factors such as demographic changes, scandals in the Church and a “dictatorship of money” that dissuades young people from making life-long commitments. Italy is experiencing a “crisis of vocations” in a region that was once the world’s biggest source of missionaries, and was now entering a “vocational sterility”. “These are my concerns,” the Pope concluded. “They are points for reflection.”
Why, oh why, oh why, oh why, are the Bishops and Cardinals not speaking out about this total, total , car wreck?
Blizzard, Thank you for posting this but I pray that this author is incorrect about what he thinks Pope Francis' strategy is. Thankfully Blessed Ann Catherine Emmerich also spoke of the Church becoming more magnificent than ever before. I also wonder if she is referring to the St. Gallen's Mafia when she states "secret sect" in the following prophecy: August to October 1820 "I see more martyrs, not now but in the future... I saw the secret sect relentlessly undermining the great Church. Near them I saw a horrible beast coming up from the sea. All over the world, good and devout people, especially the clergy, were harassed, oppressed, and put into prison. I had the feeling that they would become martyrs one day. "When the Church had been for the most part destroyed (by the secret sect), and when only the sanctuary and altar were still standing, I saw the wreckers (of the secret sect) enter the Church with the Beast. There, they met a Woman of noble carriage who seemed to be with child because she walked slowly. At this sight, the enemies were terrorized, and the Beast could not take but another step forward. It projected its neck towards the Woman as if to devour her, but the Woman turned about and bowed down (towards the Altar), her head touching the ground. Thereupon, I saw the Beast taking to flight towards the sea again, and the enemies were fleeing in the greatest of confusion. Then, I saw in the distance great legions approaching. In the foreground I saw a man on a white horse. Prisoners were set free and joined them. All the enemies were pursued. Then, I saw that the Church was being promptly rebuilt, and she was more magnificent than ever before." Here is a side story, I apologize because it is all a little off topic but in my opinion it is all related to what is occurring in the Church and in the world in general. When I read the article that you posted I scrolled all the way down and I noticed a commercial that began running at the bottom of the article. Last night, I saw the same commercial on television at about 10:30pm on NBC and I nearly fell off my chair. I was watching "The Voice" only because on Monday night I noticed that there was a very talented 15 year old singer on the show and although I had not been watching the show at all, I thought that I would tune in last night to see if she had won which she did. I also noticed that the show had several professional acts which were borderline demonic imho so it should not have been that great of a shock when the following commercial about Las Vegas was aired. I thought of the children that may have been watching this at the time since I have children who are no longer interested in this type of show I know that it does appeal to children around Middle School age. I must say that I am thankful that my children are older and they were not subjected to these types of things at such a young age and I feel horrible that our society as a whole appears to accept this. I will also state that just in general I am appalled by the commercials which are aired on television at all times of the day. I will give you some examples: there is a real estate commercial in which a man and a women are depicted as Adam and Eve with just leaves covering their very pertinent body parts; there are several commercials of adults pictured in adult diapers; men in underwear either just boxers or briefs; and I could go on. Sorry for the rant but there you go. Before I post the commercial, I want to warn people here that it depicts a story of two women who decide to get married in Las Vegas and it ends with a kiss, PS- Please let me know if this commercial also appears at the bottom of the article which Blizzard posted when you click on it or if it was just me. Thank you.
This shipwreck has been long foretold, especially with Fatima, Garabandal and Akita along with many other prophecies. The question seems to be, what are the faithful to do? The book In Sinu Jesu (in the heart of Jesus) seems to me to provide the answers, which are in prayer, adoration and penance, which will provide for all our needs and calm our hearts. The shock factor should be long gone now with where the problems are coming from. The answer will be in the purification we are now in and the eventual Triumph of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary and the new Era of Peace forthcoming. It is sad to see our priests leading the way in our spiral downward, but the answer is still the same.
I think the commercials change I did not see yours I also think the secret sect is freemasonry This is a great post I am also aggravated at how flagrant the ads are
HH, Thank you. You are correct the commercials change. I forgot to state that I believe that many people believe what you have stated about the secret sect. It's some evil institution that's for sure. Fatima, Thank you for letting me know. We are stealing the innocence of children away in every possible way.
I see it as God's way of continuing to unmask all hearts. Clearly, everyone who sees these type of things are either sickened by them or encouraged by them. People talk about them and reveal their own hearts. Much much more unveiling is coming until as Pope Benedict revealed earlier in his life (1969), "the church will become very small, but very holy". For our part we must not trouble our hearts as we know it gets much worse before it gets better.
Raymond Arroyo said that The World Over had invited Juan Carolos Cruz to give an interview (or make a statement) following his meeting with Pope Francis but he refused to do so, telling them that he would leave it to the Pope. (Cruz had given them an interview prior to his meeting with the Pope). That's what gave me the impression that the next Synod on the Family is going to over-ride Church teaching on sodomy as the last one did on adultery. I can't understand why all the Chilean Bishops offered to resign unless there was some blame attaching to them. An innocent person wouldn't offer to resign for something he hadn't done, especially something as heinous as covering for a child abuser. All the reports are that Pope Francis ignored their concerns when he appointed that Bishop. What if the reports are wrong and it was they who misinformed Pope Francis and subsequently told him that Cruz was lying?
I have posted this a long time ago on the forum When I was in 7th grade my best friend was a member of Job’s Daughters I had no clue about that so I was asking questions You could not be a member unless your father was a Mason I asked her what they did and she told me it was a secret She turned her face away when she said it I still have serious misgivings to this day about such Masonic secrecy
