I'm sure this is one of those prophecies that may not be apparent until hindsight. Since we do not believe in re-incarnation, they would have to be placed on earth as adults in the end times, or it is just a parallel that the Two Witnesses would be equal to Enoch and Elias in might and stature. I do believe that the two Popes alive right now will be paramount in making much needed corrections of "cafeteria" Catholics, who only believe what they want to believe. When they all become offended at the Church for its teachings against Gay Marriage etc... they will probably leave the Church, making her poor and with alot less members. But the surviving members would be the devout ones who love God and are obedient to His Church and her Teachings.

  3. I got the same feeling about the two lampstands, four years ago.
Now, it is 2018, and I have another feeling - I have to wonder if Donald Trump is the Man of Lawlessness predicted in 2 Thessolonians, and the Little Horn predicted by Daniel.

Back when Donald Trump, speaking of John McCain, said, "But he was captured, I like guys who WEREN'T captured", I expected his candidacy to implode, right there - POWS and MIAs have always been sacrosanct, and any politician who criticized them in any way could expect his career to end, period.

But, for Trump, that didn't happen - it was business as usual.

Trump talked about grabbing women by the ***** - political suicide again - and he emerged unscathed.

Trump criticized the Pope and praised Vladimit Putin - and people, including many Catholics, continued to support him.

No matter what Trump said, and no matter what scandals came to light, his Christian followers remain unwavering in their support, even though they would have castigated anyone who said and did those things even a few short years ago - it's like they've been hypnotized, and are walking in a dream:

3 Let no one deceive you in any way; for that day will not come unless the rebellion comes first and the lawless one is revealed, the one destined for destruction. 4 He opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, declaring himself to be God. 5 Do you not remember that I told you these things when I was still with you? 6 And you know what is now restraining him, so that he may be revealed when his time comes. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work, but only until the one who now restrains it is removed. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will destroy with the breath of his mouth, annihilating him by the manifestation of his coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one is apparent in the working of Satan, who uses all power, signs, lying wonders, 10 and every kind of wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion, leading them to believe what is false, 12 so that all who have not believed the truth but took pleasure in unrighteousness will be condemned.

Cynthia. It would be a good idea if you were to go back and read the volumes of discussion about the election of the American President. There was not a stone left uncovered in the intense debates at that time.

America seems to be improving in many respects since Mr Trump got elected, in spite of the nay sayers. Life has a chance again in America. Imagine the relief to doctors and nurses who have been forced to assist with killing babies or risk losing their jobs. Now they will be able to leave the dirty work to those with no conscience or who are ignorant of the seriousness of breaking the 6th Commandment and the eternal consequences if they do not repent. And it goes on and on and on..

Christians might not have to worry about the IRS being used to investigate them to destruction any time they exercise their free choice in a way that does not suit the whims of a President who claimed to be Christian, but seemed hell bent on destroying the Christian heritage of America and on and on and on.

It sounds like you would like to have Hillary the Killer and her sexual predator husband in charge of America. Not to mention the wiki leaks that proved Christianity in America would have suffered a death blow if the DemonicRats party got elected.

The Holy Father in one of his many words spoken before putting his brain in gear, accused Trump of not being a Christian. And Mr Trump quite rightly pointed out it is not appropriate for the Pope to make such a judgement about another person. I happen to believe Mr Trump was quite right to defend himself on that one.

If only the Pope with the Cardinals and Bishops were united and as outspoken as Mr Trump about the sanctity of life. Seems to me the President is doing the Popes job in defending life, while the Pope is defending Global Warming and reckless immigration.

Your Bible quote at the end is in very poor taste. And way off IMHO.

  6. Julia, it's not necessary to attack or scold me in order to disagree with me, nor is it a mark of a mature person, let alone a Catholic and a Christian, to call your political opponents names. You're even being disrespectful towards the Pope!
St. Peter, our first Pope, spoke out against those who mock and rail:
"Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities. 11Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord. " 2Peter 2:10-11

As for a Bible quote being in poor taste, well, I don't know what to say about that either. If the Bible offends you, that might be cause for some soulsearching on your part as well.

Evidently, Cynthia doesn't believe that the Holy Spirit is the Lord and Giver of Life. What use are human or civil rights to dead babies? What use is quality of life to the lifeless? What use women's equality to a baby girl murdered in her mother's womb and her body parts sold on for experimentation? Even the Nazis stopped short of selling the baby parts.

Deuteronomy 27:25 "Accursed be anyone who accepts a bribe to take an innocent life". What life could be more innocent than that of a pre-born baby? Planned Parenthood are big donors to the US Democratic Party. Thanks to them and more like them along with their supporters like Cynthia, the mother's womb is the most dangerous place in the world for a baby. Shame on all of them.

  8. Also, Julia, it is entirely appropriate for the Holy Father to judge who is and who is not a Christian.
    St Paul wrote:

1 Corinthians 5:12-13Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (RSVCE)
12 For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge? 13 God judges those outside. “Drive out the wicked person from among you.”

  9. More railing accusations.
Doulors, I am not a Democrat, and I am 100% against abortion.
I wish Donald Trump was too.
Prior to his run for President, Donald Trump was a big donor to Planned Parenthood, he was pro-abortion, and he even tried to talk his second wife Marla (who was his mistress before he divorced his first wife) into aborting their child. The only reason Trump claims to be pro-life was to GET VOTES, and he hasn't done anything since being elected to overturn Roe vs. Wade, other than run his mouth.

Roe-v-Wade can only be overturned by the Supreme Court or an amendment to the Constitution. In his first year in office, he has done more to support the pro-life cause than Bush, Clinton or Obama despite the best efforts of some in his own party who, like you, claim to be pro-life but have turned a blind eye to the US exporting the death cult that is abortion. He has the guts to do what all his sanctimonious detractors failed to do. If you want a saint to be your President, there's nothing to stop you running for office in three years' time.

Cynthia I am NOT a Trump supporter. I am very critical of many of his actions. BUT I will also credit him where I think he has done well. He has done great work for the prolife movement.

What’s interesting is I agree he was NOT prolife and always claimed to be for choice before he decided to run. I think the reason he has done so much is the Dems are making a huge mistake. If you praise Trump he loves you and will make deals with you. But the Dems keep attacking and he hates that so he fights against them even if it’s not his core belief. So I credit the Dems for giving us a prolife President. This is one area I really appreciate him.

He could be doing SOOOOO much better with the general population as a whole if he just shut up and stuck to script. But at least we have dozens and dozens of prolife justices now on appeal courts.

    Hi ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Cynthia,

If as you say, Mr Donald Trump was pro-abortion, but now he champions pro-life causes, doesn't that suggest to you, that he has had a moral awakening?

If you disagree than I believe you can console yourself with Our Lord's words regarding a kingdom divided against itself!

The Gospel of St Mark Chapter 3: 22-30

22 The scribes who had come down from Jerusalem were saying, 'Beelzebul is in him,' and, 'It is through the prince of devils that he drives devils out.'

23 So he called them to him and spoke to them in parables,

24 How can Satan drive out Satan? If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot last.

25 And if a household is divided against itself, that household can never last.

26 Now if Satan has rebelled against himself and is divided, he cannot last either -- it is the end of him.

27 But no one can make his way into a strong man's house and plunder his property unless he has first tied up the strong man. Only then can he plunder his house.

    28 In truth I tell you, all human sins will be forgiven, and all the blasphemies ever uttered;

29 but anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, but is guilty of an eternal sin.'

30 This was because they were saying, 'There is an unclean spirit in him.'

    What was verse 28 again?

28 In truth I tell you, all human sins will be forgiven , and all the blasphemies ever uttered; [I think, maybe that could go for Mr Trump as well, after all he is human]

Well said Dolours! I look around and I see a man who in one year has acted (not just words like previous presidents) to save babies. The biggest thing for the widest impact is Supreme Court justices. Hillary Clinton would have put the last nail in the coffin of the USA as it once was and we hope could be again. what is about to be revealed about the Clintins and their cohorts will stagger our nation. But God is stripping away masks and I praise Him for it.
As for Cynthia's rant I guess I would just ask this. If you were caught in a burning building and praying for rescue and the fireman that showed up to get you out of there was a womanizing brawler with a questionable past but a determination to save you and the training to do it would you say "you are not the one I want! You can't be an answer to my prayer. You have a shady past. And a foul mouth and God Couldnt possibly use you!" Hmmmm. What might God say to that I wonder? Instead of condemning him as he carries you out of the burning building you might try praying for him to become the man of virtue you hope for and forgive him for falling short of your requirements. A blanket condemnation of him as the man of lawlessness puts a chill on my soul. I pray you find in your heart the charity to uphold him in prayer.

Claiming friendship doesn't necessarily mean having the same beliefs. Also, unless we we're physically present in the Trump home the abortion comment about his second wife is hearsay.

This is how gossip is started.

  16. All it suggests to me is that he is telling the pro-Life crowd what it wants to hear in order to get their votes.

As for the divided kingdom scriptures, Hitler was "pro-life", as long as the life in question was Aryan and German. Speaking in 1935, he said, “The granting of equal rights to women, which Marxism demands, in reality does not grant equal rights … it instead constitutes a deprivation of rights, since it draws women into realms of society where they are inferior. The woman has her own battlefield. With every child that she brings into the world, she fights her battle for the nation.”

Being Pro Life means far more than simply claiming to oppose abortion.
Being Pro Life means defending ALL life - unborn lives, certainly, but also the lives of the poor and the sick and the elderly; it means defending the lives of children and the unborn (and their fathers and mothers) in "S***hole countries", lives that could be saved if they were allowed to immigrate to America; it means that you set an example for the nation by defending the sanctity of marriage, rather than taking a mistress or marrying a new wife as soon as your current wife starts showing her age. Donald Trump does none of these things - all he is is a Trump-et, playing and braying whatever tune he thinks will fool people into voting for him.

The appropriate scripture here is not that of the house divided against itself - rather, it is this one:

(Luke 4:5)And the devil took Him up, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time, 6 and said to Him, “To you I will give all this authority and their glory; for it has been delivered to me, and I give it to whom I will. 7 If you, then, will worship me, it shall all be yours.”
    8 And Jesus answered him,
    “It is written,
‘You shall worship the Lord your God,
and Him only shall you serve.’”

I detect real hatred in your choice of words and in your tone. Venom dripping from every syllable. Why are you so angry? Vote him out in 4 years or—if he is as evil as you say pray him out but I gotta say you are doing some serious ranting here. And I wonder why. You must utterly despise those who voted for him. Like Hillary Clinton. A basket of Deplorables! There’s charity for you. I have a feeling you have a very high standard for all of us. A bit of “off with their heads” if anyone disagrees.

If that were true then like all politicians, once in office, they quickly show their real colours and don't live up to their pre-election promises, much like your reasoning regarding Hitler! However Mr Trump is sticking to his [personal mandate] words, and in the process of keeping his word he is not doing himself any favours and is constantly lambasted by the media, and the left, in fact I think it is quite dangerous for him, but he is battling on, God Bless him.

Using Hitler as an example of pro-life, is an oxymoron, to say the least! Especially when you correctly add that being pro-life means defending all life!

Maybe Mr Trump is like the blind man in Mark 8:22-26!

Time and again throughout the Gospel of Mark, Jesus healed people with a simple word or touch. These healings were instantaneous, sure evidence of the power of God working through Jesus.

But in Mark 8:22-26, we come upon an exceptional case. After people brought a blind man to Jesus, he took him out of the village, spit on the man’s eyes, and then laid his hands on him. This is odd, to be sure, though reminiscent of Jesus’ unusual healing of the deaf man (Mark 7:33). But what is truly startling about this story in Mark 8 is the response of the blind man to Jesus’ question: “Can you see anything now?” (8:23). “Yes,” he said, “I see people, but I can’t see them very clearly. They look like trees walking around” (8:24).
It’s striking that Jesus’ first attempt at healing the man appeared to have fallen short of the goal. The man was healed, but only partly. He could see, but not clearly. It took a second touch of Jesus for the man to be fully restored (8:25). We must wonder what was happening here.

Perhaps Jesus is showing us that some people [like Mr Trump and many others myself included] begin their walk in grace but require further healings to be able to see, even more clearly!

    Just a thought. God Bless.

Hello Cynthia. Let me say straight away that I haven't detected any 'venom' or hatred in your posts!

I'm interested in what you have said so far in your first posts. With regard to Trump, I cannot claim to know much about him but I do see him in a more positive light than you appear to do. I take the point you make about his past, which seems not too good in many ways but people can change! Do you not consider the possibility that Mr Trump's current wife, Melania, has started to change him? Or even his own conscience is changing him? It seems to me a bit too easy to just say he will say anything if it helps him in some way.
