Yes I will pray for your intentions! We are headed there now from our hotel. Will be there in about 15 min. I'm so excited! There were some people at breakfast this morning who are probably headed there as well. Well-dressed families with lots of children.

I was just wondering, would this be the only incorrupt body from north America? South America?

Mother Marianna De Torres the visionary who saw Our Lady of Good Success in Equador had her body preserved incorrupt and I think still is. I may be wrong but I think the bodies of several other nuns of the convent were blessed with down the years.

Yes, St John Neuman, who was, I think the first Bishop of Philadelphia.

I can't think of any women saints.

In Quebec , St Andre Bisset , the humble lay brother. There are probably a few more, but this is a very, very rare phenomenon indeed.

Sometimes they the body is incorrupt but it is not really, just things like bones covered in coloured wax.

St Bernadette Sobirous of Lourdes was one o zf the big authentic ones. But a nun was cleaning the body one time and went and burnt the face with amonia, they covered her face with wax to hide it.

But St Bernadette is a good example of a 100% one.

I have to say Mother Wilhelmina looks to be 100%too.

I am not saying people tell lies, they sometimes like to, well, guild the lily.

Padre Pio's body is incorrupt of course.

But I'd say just about the most famous ever and the most striking is St Charbel of the Lebanon. Why? Well not only is it incorrupt but the grave was lit up for several days by a bright light by God to highlight this. Also huge amounts of a miraculous oil have exuded from the body resulting in some really first class miracles.

I would say St Charbel is hard to beat.

You know the Communists in Russia tried to emulate Catholic saints by bringing in a special team of embalmers to fix up the body of Lenin set in a class case in the Kremlin for thousands to admire as they trooped past every day. They used all the best science of the day to keep his body fresh but it never worked out too well. After a few years it was clearly rotting and they had to give up.

I was thinking about it today. Say you had a piece of steak you wanted to eat for dinner. But say you forgot about it and left if for four years. What do you think it would look like when you found it again?

    Not too good I expect.

Well I'm back! My phone is low on battery so I can't say a whole bunch...but we got to the convent at 8am and stood in line for about an hour to see Sr. Wilhelmina. We got to go right up to her and I laid my hand on hers while I prayed. I touched her habit too. It was good as new, and her hand was a normal hand, though I believe they put a waxy substance on her hands and face to protect her skin. I was amazed by her feet. Full, healthy looking feet in stockings. And she did indeed have the odour of sanctity! She smelled like flowers! I definitely felt something when I touched her that nearly moved me to tears. I prayed for all of your intentions.

We attended Mass and I stood around outside a while, observing the multitudes of people steadily streaming in to see her. I'd say a 3rd of the people looked like serious Catholics, many of them Latin Mass Catholics, but there were a lot of what looked to be your average Catholic that may or may not attend Mass regularly, perhaps many non-Catholics as well. Plenty of people in shorts and skimpy clothing had to be given skirts and shawls to wear. Children were running back and forth replenishing a table covered in donated skirts haha. They would politely stop people at the door to dress.

I saw several people in wheelchairs or with some kind of disability, probably hoping for a cure. A woman told me a little boy who was bedridden was carried in to Sr. Wilhelmina, and an hour later the nuns said he was running around in the grass!

There was donated food and water everywhere, tons of volunteers. Everyone was so kind. Hundreds of people attended Mass and they never ran out of the Eucharist.

After my 4 year old Sophie prayed to Sr. Wilhelmina, she asked me to get her a prayerbook. She said, "I need a prayerbook to teach me how to pray." She still insists she's going to be a nun.

It was a lovely experience and I hope it obtains conversions for many!

I was thinking about you all day. What a blessed and glorious moment for you and your family. Oh, the joy to have the opportunity to touch her, and to smell the odor of sanctity! Thank you for bringing our intentions to Sister. How blessed we are that you were able to make this pilgrimage with your family, it was no easy task to do this with little ones. You have made it possible for us to see Sister through your eyes. :)
