Please watch this important video by Fr. Dave Nix. I’m morally certain the answer is Option A: https://youtu.be/oPZLSNOVSeY
I loved this video and watched it several times. I can't really decide definitively between option A or B, or other options because I don't have any solid proof. But I lean towards option B currently and here's why. The beast and the anti-christ come after the 1000 year reign of Christ of Revelation 20. This is evident from the end of Rev 19 which describes the exact same event. The conditions for the battle of Gog & Magog are extremely ripe currently. As in they could happen any time now let alone 25 years from now. I don't know, things could cool off around Israel, but Israel doesn't seem to know how to stop provoking everyone around them at this time. When Russia comes down, it will be unwillingly according to Ezekiel, God puts a hook in their jaw. I have recently seen a report of a corrupt Ukrainian official fleeing to Israel once they were caught. This is only one Jewish official in Israel, there are loads of corrupt Jewish officials in Ukraine. I imagine more will flee to Israel when the time comes. The war in Ukraine is ending, and the fact that there is this Israel connection with corrupt Ukrainian Jewish officials hiding there could lead to a lot more than we know. Could there be a reason where Russia is forced to attack Israel? given that there are already corrupt Ukrainian Jewish officials hiding out there, I think the possibility is high. I am talking war crimes, theft and so on, who knows what diabolic stuff the Russians are going to find that will be tied to Israel.
Hi Pax, I read your comment and just wanted to add that the Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches that we are not to believe in a literal 1000 year reign of Christ. That may be called "millenarianism" which we are not to espouse. This link goes more into depth with passages from the Catechism that may be helpful https://www.ewtn.com/catholicism/answers/endtimes-millenium-rapture-24748 The following text is from the link The term "endtimes" applies both to the era of Christ's first coming (Heb 1:2, 1 Cor 10:11, Heb 9:26) and to the events immediately before his return and the end of the ages (Mt 24:13, 2 Tim 2:1, 2 Peter 3:3). The definitive Catholic teaching on the endtimes is contained in the Catechism of the Catholic Church under the discussion of the article of the Creed, "From thence He will come again to judge the living and the dead." [CCC 668-682] As the Creed infallibly teaches, the Second Coming is associated with the end of the world and the Last Judgment. Therefore, it is NOT associated with any earlier time - such as to establish a "Millennium." The Catholic Church specifically condemns "millenarianism," according to which Jesus will establish a throne in this world and reign here for a thousand years [CCC 676]. She teaches instead that Jesus already reigns in eternity (1 Cor. 15:24-27, Rev. 4 & 5) and that in this world His reign, established as a seed, is found already in the Church [CCC 668-669]. This is the 1000 years, which is the Hebrew way of indicating an indefinite long time - in this case, the time between the first and second comings, the era of the Church, in other words the last days in the broadest sense. The Book of Revelation situates this era between the persecutions of the Roman antichrists of the first century and the final unleashing of evil at the end. Naturally, non-Catholics cannot accept that the Catholic Church represents Christ in this world, so they are forced to look for a personal earthly reign somewhere out in the future. The notion that Jesus will come, reign, and then depart, so that the devil can trick the world again, is incompatible with the incomprehensible dignity of the Lord and His love for His people. Jesus' Coming will be definitive, triumphant, and ever-lasting, NOT temporal and limited. As for the Rapture, the meaning of 1 Thes 4:15-17 is that at the return of Christ (v.15) and the General Resurrection of the Dead (v.16), those who survive the persecution of the Antichrist will have no advantage in being resurrected over those who died before His Coming [CCC 1001]. All will go to meet Him and be with Him forever (v.17; cf. Rev 20:17-21:27). The Catechism provides us with a general order of events at the End [CCC 673-677]. Chronologically they are, 1. the full number of the Gentiles come into the Church 2. the "full inclusion of the Jews in the Messiah's salvation, in the wake of the full number of the Gentiles" (#2 will follow quickly on, in the wake of, #1) 3. a final trial of the Church "in the form of a religious deception offering men an apparent solution to their problems at the price of apostasy from the truth." The supreme deception is that of the Antichrist. 4. Christ's victory over this final unleashing of evil through a cosmic upheaval of this passing world and the Last Judgment. ______________________________- I know it's tricky, especially the text of the Book of Revelation, and then different sources like podcasts and videos on the internet that confidently tell us the order of things to come, but the Catechism is a solid source that we can look to for understanding our faith from a Catholic perspective.
Both my sense of logic and my gut tell me we are at Option B. With each day that passes Option A looks more and more remote.
I think there is a good case to be made on either side of the issue. Because of Our Lady's words to Mother Maria in Ecuador and also LaSalette I think probably Option A. Having said that the many signs Jesus gives us in Matthew 24 are racking up like cue balls. So I just dont know. It's all in God's Hands. Either way we are in for a rough passage.
I have read many perspectives including the Catholic one. There are many good arguments which go against the 1000 year reign having happened yet, which I have already posted in other threads. But looking at world events as well as the dreams people are having it appears that it might have either happened or that we are currently in it. I am not sure anyone has a perfect handle on this, but I do appreciate the Catholic position on this matter. The point I am making is that if the battle of Gog and Magog takes place, everything else before it will have happened. Including the 1000 year reign, whatever it actually represents, which will take a lot of people by surprise including myself.
Option A is the long foretold Triumph of the Immaculate Heart (which is the Triumph if the Church) and will be absolute, the greatest period of peace and Glory the Church has ever known. I don't know where this 1000 years thing entered in but it will last several centuries. Some of its main characteristics will be: A must smaller human population, one quarter of its present size. Russia, England and China will come to the Faith. Protestantism will be extinguished and Orthodoxy return to the One True Faith. The Seat of the Church will return to Jerusalem with Jews coming to the Faith and taking leadership , Jewish Popes and Cardinals. Rome will cease to exist. The Catholic social teaching on Subsidiary will be realised, with small rural communities living very simple lives close to the soil. They will be aided in this by new technologies undreamt of in this present time. No more big cities or big states or big armies. The Catholic Church will be universally accepted. The greatest saints the world has ever seen will walk the earth. Man shall live much longer and healthier lives , illness's such as cancer and sexual diseases will no longer exist. All heresies will be no more and the Church will declare the final Dogmas and Doctrines. Movements such as the Gay lobby, Feminism, Woke etc will be no more.
We are so close to much of this already it is incredible. We are learning more and more about regenerative agriculture it is unreal. People are already having amazing results with regenerative agriculture and we are only getting warmed up. The potential that exists in nature that is waiting to be unlocked is mind blowing. Better yields of more nutrient dense food full of vitamins that organisms in the soil produce. Most of the diseases we have stem from the food we are eating and the poor biome in our intestines. Recently it was discovered that Multiple Sclerosis stems from two species of bacteria in our gut-biomes. Medicine is already starting to be entirely changed in a manner aligned with Regenerative Agriculture, using nature to heal. With the internet, debates are happening and Catholicism is winning greatly in spite of the state of the clergy. The English and Anglicans are coming into Catholicism too. The pendulum is swinging away from all the gender ideology. Muslims are abandoning their faith in huge numbers. It is all on the horizon.
I think there are some descriptions of the new techs in the prophesies. I will have to recheck. One of them is a new source for light which will be free. As you say I guess some of these have already being discovered but are being suppressed by the big corporations for money reasons.
I am already blown away by it all, especially how nature in the soil works. There is so much more coming, so much potential we won't know what to do with ourselves because of what we have been conditioned to.
Please note, this is just an observation and in no way intended otherwise. I’m morally certain it’s Option 1. Catholics only started believing option 2 the last 70 years, and only then because they were subconsciously convinced by American evangelical dispensationism, which itself is anti Catholic. I’m now convinced this anti Catholic dispensationalism was quietly but deliberately spread into American evangelical circles by the Zionists, who have an absolute hatred for Catholicism. They have manipulated American evangelicalism ever since, and used it to subsequently pervert American Catholicism away from EENS (Extra ecclesia nulla salus) and the Truth thatCatholicism is the New Israel, not the secular humanist atheist middle east Zionist state claiming the title of Israel. And one of the greatest affronts to Christ is the nonsense known as Christian Zionism.
I get what you are saying but there are many verses in scripture which contradict a 1000 year reign having already happened or that we are living in it. The position of about half of the early church fathers was pre-millennial which is different than dispensationalism. As well, if you take a look at the battle of Gog and Magog in Ezekiel 38 & 39 it becomes clear that it speaks in terms of geographical terms. It speaks about Israel and all the surrounding countries. So while I agree that the Catholic church is the new Israel, I am not sure that this is applicable everywhere in prophecy. There is good reason to believe that in the case of Gog & Magog the prophecy is about the nation of Israel today. For me it isn't a case of what protestants believe, but rather what can be best argued. I am totally on board with criticism of this too because if there is a better position I am for it. I am not attached personally. So I appreciate conversation on the matter and a variety of different takes.
I have a question. Have any of you read, seen, or heard in a primary source (book, television program, radio broadcast) Archbishop Fulton Sheen actually saying that the false prophet would come from our bishops? I have read and heard a lot from Sheen and have never come across this. As a matter of fact, the words attributed to him that are passed around extensively these days about the "false church" seem to be quite a bit altered from what he said in his radio broadcast in 1947 about the antichrist and the "ape of the Church." I'd encourage everyone to take a listen to the original speech. If anything, it is incredibly moving and inspiring. A couple other things Fr. Nix said in this video also give me pause. In particular, some strange wording and additions to the Our Lady of Good Success prophecies has me scratching my head. Again, I've read extensively on Our Lady of Good Success (a very large and exhaustive book on Mother Marianna and the entire history of Our Lady of Good Success, plus some other smaller books) so I have a fairly good grasp on what was said and what wasn't. Regardless, I'm about to go through my book and find the exact quotes and compare to what Fr. Nix said. I think many prophecies and quotes are being subtly and not so subtly altered in the last few years to make it look as if we have a false pope or that the antichrist or false prophet is going to come from within the Church or that there is this little faithful remnant that is the actual real Church as opposed to the visible larger Catholic Church. People these days are worried about secular authorities changing/rewriting the truth, but perhaps we're missing it being done right under our noses within our own circles, undermining our own Church....perhaps not even intentionally, but as a result of the exciting spreading of hearsay, the game of telephone, as we're eager to hear sensational prophecies that fit our current fears. We have to be so careful. I want to see original sources, carefully checked.
America is filled to the brim with crazy evangelical protestants. The same crazies whose forbears wreaked havoc in Ireland and elsewhere. The charlie Kirk affair is finally waking up some loons to the truth that their "pastors" and leaders have poisoned their hearts and minds with heretical doctrine and a bat shit crazy political Zionist philosophy entwined for many centuries with the machinations of the Lodge.
Personally I never thought of Sheen as a source for a false Pope or Ape of the Church. For these I would look to other Prophetic sources. These are well documented. Unless maybe Sheen had been quoting these. But I doubt it. That would have made him very unpopular with the powers that be. . But Sheen wrote and spoke so much. It must amount to millions of words. It would be like looking for a needle in a haystack
