For the words of the mouth flow out of what fills the heart.

Thanks for posting this. I love what he recommends, about this daily prayer:

"Lord I consecrate my tongue to you. Do not allow allow any word to be spoken that doesn't come from Love. I don't want to speak ever if I don't speak with Love."

We also need a similar version for our online lives: "Lord I consecrate my time in cyberspace to you. Do not allow me to tweet, post, text, SMS, or blog a single word that isn't done with Love. I don't want to emit any text ever if I don't do it with Love."

However, I'm not sure that I agree with everything he says about shyness (starting @ 1:09:30 ). He says that shyness doesn't exist, but is a way of dressing up vanity. Someone who is too "shy" to speak publicly is actually afraid to make mistakes, so lacks humility. And he even says jokingly that a shy person will never make it to heaven because he will be too intimidated by St Peter at the door!

I've heard this from others during retreats of all places and think that many people think it's either a sin if they are religious or a fault if they are non-believers. I was happy to read this message given to Vassula about timidity: "Vassula, to be timid2 is not a sin; I am telling you this" in response to her one of her thoughts questioning whether timidity was a sin. Presuming timidity is the same thing as being shy, it seems to infatuate Jesus ("Vassula, by being timid you infatuate me...")

I just remembered that Jesus also had words to Luisa Piccerreta about her extreme shyness that she had as a child. He told her that the shyness that she had as a child was one of his greatest jealousies of love for her. He didn’t want anything to enter into her, neither the world nor people, but wanted her to be apart from everyone.

I think that I will write to Marino and give him these comments directly. I'm sure he'll welcome them and hopefully they can help him consider this from another angle.
