Repeatedly throughout my teenage and young adult years, I repeatedly ran into people who either were interested in, or outright adored these various pagan goddesses. This past year, in autumn, I discovered that all these goddesses that these people from my past were interested in, were in fact the same demon, Lilith the She-Devil. Just earlier today, I was on that secular forum site that I’m often on, and one of the guys on there announced that he was now adoring, one of the goddesses that is in fact Lilith. (Part of me had actually been wondering if this guy, who said he hated Christianity and had an interest paganism, would end up adoring that She-Devil) Now I’m not exactly afraid of this She-Devil, I know that my devotion to, and recourse to, Our Lady, is alone sufficient to protect me from her; one glance from Our Blessed Mother should be more than enough to send her fleeing. In addition to that, I’m also a member of Auxilium Christianorum, say Fr. Chadd Ripperger’s Deliverance Prayers every morning and evening, and engage in other forms of spiritual warfare. However, I’d like everyone here to be on standby for me, just in case things go sideways.
My sister mentioned Lilith in a phone call Monday night, after having watched a TV program hosted by William Shatner. She's not interested, but simply hadn't heard of Lilith before. Had I? I told her yes, that supposedly Lilith was Adam's first wife, etc., rebellious, Queen of Demons. And to AVOID "Lilith Fairs" if one is held near her. I've noticed an uptick of women identifying with Medusa. Yeah, I'd really want snakes for hair.
I’m try to discern, whether or not to pray more for this man’s conversion and his liberation from service to Lilith; I already do include him my prayers, including Fr. Chad Ripperger’s Commission of body soul prayer which I recite every morning and evening. I’m wondering now if I should go further, or perhaps even take a step back and focus on other things. There is a lot to consider here, including the possibility that devotees of Lilith themselves, might actually be zealous and dangerous: Now at that time there arose no small disturbance about the way of the Lord. For a certain man named Demetrius, a silversmith, who made silver temples for Diana, [Diana is one of the goddesses Lilith disguises herself as] brought no small gain to the craftsmen; Whom he calling together, with the workmen of like occupation, said: Sirs, you know that our gain is by this trade; And you see and hear, that this Paul by persuasion hath drawn away a great multitude, not only of Ephesus, but almost of all Asia, saying: They are not gods which are made by hands. So that not only this our craft is in danger to be set at nought, but also the temple of great Diana shall be reputed for nothing; yea, and her majesty shall begin to be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worshippeth. Having heard these things, they were full of anger, and cried out, saying: Great is Diana of the Ephesians. And the whole city was filled with confusion; and having caught Gaius and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia, Paul's companions, they rushed with one accord into the theatre. And when Paul would have entered in unto the people, the disciples suffered him not. And some also of the rulers of Asia, who were his friends, sent unto him, desiring that he would not venture himself into the theatre. Now some cried one thing, some another. For the assembly was confused, and the greater part knew not for what cause they were come together. And they drew forth Alexander out of the multitude, the Jews thrusting him forward. And Alexander beckoning with his hand for silence, would have given the people satisfaction. But as soon as they perceived him to be a Jew, all with one voice, for the space of about two hours, cried out: Great is Diana of the Ephesians. And when the town clerk had appeased the multitudes, he said: Ye men of Ephesus, what man is there that knoweth not that the city of the Ephesians is a worshipper of the great Diana, and of Jupiter's offspring. For as much therefore as these things cannot be contradicted, you ought to be quiet, and to do nothing rashly. For you have brought hither these men, who are neither guilty of sacrilege, nor of blasphemy against your goddess. But if Demetrius and the craftsmen that are with him, have a matter against any man, the courts of justice are open, and there are proconsuls: let them accuse one another. And if you inquire after any other matter, it may be decided in a lawful assembly. For we are even in danger to be called in question for this day's uproar, there being no man guilty (of whom we may give account) of this concourse. And when he had said these things, he dismissed the assembly. -Acts 19:23-40
I’ve started my Rosary Novena for that guy today, so far so good; I have confidence that this’ll be very beneficial for both me and him. On another note, I should try to get into the habit of referring to this she-devil by the name Diana, since that’s a name of her’s that appears in the Bible, namely in the passage I posted above. The Hebrew word “lilith” appears in the Hebrew manuscripts of the Old Testament, but it probably doesn’t refer to the She-Devil specifically.
I'm not sure about naming demons, I think that is frowned upon. Putting everything into the Blessed Mother's hands through the Rosary is the safest way to go, surely!
