I totally agree with this, and the point I am making is that many have been doing the first 5 Saturday devotions under the pretense that we can meet the requirements of the peace option, which passed already in 1938. By no means am I saying that those who engaged in the devotion performed a worthless endeavor.
Not to be presumtious or rude to you, but I think you were the exception. When I set out to do the devotion it was for my personal salvation, to make reparation and to increase my devotion to her Immaculate Heart. If my little part indirectly brings about a short period of peace in the world then awesome. I think, here I am being presumptuous, most people here on the forum and those doing this devotion realize we are in the end clause of the secret. We are now waiting for what happens in the third secret but ultimately in the end, her immaculate heart will triumph and a short period of peace will occur. Now I personally believe, take it or leave it, that devotion to the immaculate heart of Mary will be responsible for the period of peace, like the economy of grace, people have been working at this bit by bit and we failed miserably which is why we are in the if not part of the secret. But as PF said so clearly, God wouldn't introduce a devotion which would then be tossed to the side. He knew it would be rejected. Connect this to Louis de Montfort, only through Mary will the second coming of Christ take place.
You could be right and I don't find you being presumptuous or rude. You are allowed to hold to your opinions and I am allowed to hold to mine. However, in many of the talks I have watched and websites I have read, they still speak about doing a proper consecration. That if we just get the proper consecration done, which meets all the purity tests, with enough first 5 Saturdays this whole mess could be ended. It wasn't until I started reading and re-reading the second secret that it became apparent that this isn't the case. I mean it was obvious that we were in the "if not" part of the secret. But it wasn't apparent that we are stuck there until everything plays out, and that we have been stuck there since 1938. It isn't until recently that I even understood that the 2nd secret came out 3.5 years after the option for peace expired. Others might have already understood this, but I discovered it on my own and I never heard anyone talk of it. Not because I am intelligent did I discover it but because I took the time to check out the dates for myself. While I appreciate your take, I don't think it is our devotions that are responsible for the period of peace. Because everything after "In the end" is a declarative statement which isn't contingent on anything. Personally, I think the "period of peace" already passed though I know many disagree with this take. As well, once the Immaculate Heart has won, I expect there will be much more than just a period of peace. My take on the devotion to the Immaculate Heart is that by grace it helps to right the direction of the heart, which the collective of humanity desperately needs. That people in large numbers will likely come to it after a massive undeniable miracle, revelation or discovery. Perhaps a promoter who performs miracles. But the flocking to the devotion wont be what brings about everything after "in the end". We are in for the full ride and we have been since 1938. This is where Garabandal ties in really well because both a miracle and a warning could accomplish a Triumph.
Pnf, I am not ignoring you. I am just not able to engage in a conversation with you because I am not very well read like you nor able to articulate a well thought out response. I will briefly say I flat out disagree with you. The material world is good and God wants a peace not only in our hearts but on this earthly world in which we inhabit. In the creation of the world God says it is good. Christ became incarnate, sanctifying the flesh and let us not ignore God speaking directly to those in Genesis. So beautiful. Christ living an earthly life. And in the end we will be given back our mortal flesh and I assume the world will be renewed in a way. I believe God is very much interested in our geopolitics. Quick example, the supposed Dark Age. The church flourished after the Roman persecution, it enjoyed an earthly peace. And that is what Mary is pointing to after this upcoming chastisement. There will be another earthly peace but it will only come about by the proper order of things and by that I mean seeking first the spiritual world, living as St. Paul instructs us, the Catechism etc and subsequently an earthly peace shall follow. As goes the Church so goes the world, was this St. Bruno? I forget who but it is what Mary has been warning us since Fatima. Maybe the third secret talks about this maybe it doesn't. We don't have to go down the rabbit hole of withheld messages or a fake sister Lucy. Our shepherds have fallen silent and have decided to abandon the cross and look to the suffering of ice cubes. Until the direction of the church changes back to her due course -Christ and the salvation of souls- we are left to stay afloat as best we can. But we have the surest life boat, the Immaculate Heart, and we confidently await that she will crush Satan in the end, whenever God deems that a good time to be. Lastly, on Zionism. It is not about material being good or bad. God created the world for a purpose. Its purpose is to be the location of the earthly pilgrimmage, the place of trial to determing which souls merit Heaven. This world is a means to an end. Not the end itself. And this current world will soon be destroyed and a new world created in its place by God. That new world is called the New Heaven and New Earth. Let me try to simplify why I am trying to say. The word peace, like the word Charity/love, can be properly understood or distorted. Satan has done a wonderful job redefining "charity" as some kind of philanthropic activity devoid of any reference to the true God. The entire world follows with wonder the works of the "philanthropists." Everyone cries when their deaths are announced, saying they did such "good" for the world. They wanted to make this world a better place. Likewise, Satan has done a wonderful job redefining "peace" as some kind of unspoken truce in which certain sensitive topics are best not brought up in the company of certain people. Rather, it is be to focus on what we have in common, not our differences. This way we can "keep the peace" and this world will be a better place for it. Both of these definitions of those words are lies of Anti-Christ. Charity, first and foremost, is love of God, which requires hating sin and loving the Truth. Christ came "to bring the sword" of His truth to the world. That is the charity of Christ for us, to show us the way to Heaven, not to make our lives in this world better. Similarly, Christ's peace is announced in the Gloria. It is "peace to men of good will," not peace to all people on earth. There will be no true peace for those of "bad will," i.e., those following Satan. Even if there is a short period of no war on earth, that is not the "peace" that is the concern of Jesus and Mary. The true peace is only that peace of man with his God. And that only comes when man recognizes his sinfulness and abandons himself to the mercy and grace of God. Very few people will ever do that with any kind of perseverance. But, the worldlings will yearn for an earthly peace so much that they will accept the Freemasonic/Satanic counterfeit, which is all about toleration of evil and getting along so we can build a better world together. Ultimately, "where you treasure is, there will your heart be also." So, we much watch carefully what we "treasure." Putting too much hope in an earthly solution to our problems (even a temporary one) is exactly what is warned about in CCC 675. The true lasting peace of the New Heaven and New Earth is a supernatural reality. It comes after the Second Coming.
I love a good conspiracy theory, maybe too much X files as a kid. I gave a listen to Nurse Claire's podcast and I wished he had given more details into his findings or maybe if they had addressed more of the critiques we hear today. From her receding chin, the space from her eyebrows to her eyes, her nose from the profile. I want to find the speech analysis of the Portuguese if anyone can point me to that. I heard a guest on Holy Family radio today discussing this, referencing the site above & a book being written.
Sr. Lucy’s family has strongly denied that there was an imposter. That convinces me. I can now move on. And maybe say a rosary and get my housework done.
