I have always believed in Fr Gobbi, and his Director Fr Roux of the Marian Movement of Priests. Roux, specifically said, the false prophet would be a Pope, who will unite with the Antichrist the person who will try to control the world. And this Antichrist would come out of the United Nations. Man, being both limited in intelligence and morally fallen, tends to associate 'justice' with fairness and equality of outcome. Divine Justice is a much harder phenomenon altogether. It is entirely Just and were it not for a Divine Mercy that even went so far as our God taking on a human body, there's not a hope any human being could have avoided damnation. Jordan Peterson seems to get this. Meanwhile, I've heard our pope is advising us to eat less meat (and I don't think he was referring to Friday abstinence).

Let's see: In Paul's writings, virtually every reference to the temple, is a reference to the Church; in the Books of Hebrews and Revelation, virtually every reference is to the heavenly temple or sanctuary. For God’s temple is holy, and that temple you are. Did Paul have in his mind the Jerusalem temple which was not destroyed until 70 AD? Modern day Fundamentalists believe it refers to a rebuilt Temple in Jerusalem, soon to occur. Since Paul refers elsewhere to the Church as the new Temple, could the Son of Perdition refer to a Church leader such as the Pope? The evidence is inconclusive. Lord have Mercy!

I believe it is VERY possible that the Third Temple in Jerusalem will be built -- plans have been drawn up (and by that I mean architectural plans) and items needed have been set aside and purchased, so that at a moment's notice construction can begin. While the Temple may be rebuilt, I do NOT believe (as some of our Evangelical brethren may believe) that the sacrifices will begin again. For one, Jesus is the Perfect Sacrifice -- the test of the scarlet thread shows that no further animal sacrifices will be acceptable to G_D. The Scarlet thread of the scape goat turned from red to white on the day of atonement up until AD 30! This temple miracle signified God accepted their sacrifice, and forgave their sin. There has not been a red heifer born in over 2000 years. EDIT: Apparently one that has been certified by a rabbinical team as ritually pure was born on Sept. 4, 2018. Also, the heifer must be at least 3 years old but no more than 4 years old. If in fact this is the case, the heifer must be sacrificed before sunset in Jerusalem on Sept. 4, 2022. Clock's ticking on this. Before, one would always be born when the old supply of ashes was about to run out. Now, the most recent candidate was almost 10 years ago. It was examined by the appropriate rabbinical experts, and it was rejected because it had 3 white hairs on its body -- it was not an unblemished animal and so could not be used. The people doing the "sacrifices" might be portraying them as "test sacrifices" to make sure everything is in order for when the red heifer appears, but that's not the way G_D works.
is it possible that the third temple is built on the slopes of mount carmel in haifa which is also sacred to the 3 abrahamic religions? I thought of this hypothesis because with the mosque on the site of the old temple in Jerusalem it would be difficult not to cause a world war by trying to start the construction of the temple there.

Moriah, where Araunah the Jebusite had a threshing floor (to separate wheat from chaff). David bought the threshing floor and all the threshing equipment from Araunah for 50 shekels of silver (i.e. 50 pieces of silver, foreshadowing what Judas recv'd for betraying Jesus, the Lamb of God, to be used as a sacrifice to save us all.) Rabbinic tradition says that this is the place that Abraham travelled to to sacrifice his son Isaac (which must have been an interesting conversation with Isaac's mother when they arrived home); and that this place "is the navel of the world", i.e., the place from which the Earth was created. FWIW, the Muslims claim that they have the space where the Temple stood; yet the place they point out where the Temple stood is very rough and craggy. Threshing floors must be smooth so you don't lose any of the wheat. When the Muslims are brought low (as we show is done in the War of Psalm 83 and in Ezekiel 38-39. In the end, Syria will be reduced to the northern third, centered around Damascus; the rest will be taken by Israel, and modern-day Jordan will become a protectorate (at the very least) of Israel. After Ezekiel, Islam will cease to be a world power; many if not most of its adherents will become Catholic, and those who don't will be like the jackals in the desert. It's at this point that the real push for building the Third Temple will arise.
I strongly doubt the existence of this red heifer. Such a heifer must be sacrificed when at least 3 but no more then 4 years old (according to the Talmud). If in fact it had been born on Sept. 4, 2018, it MUST be sacrificed before Sept. 4, 2022. This year looks to be ... "interesting" (as in the ancient curse, "May you live in interesting times") so it may yet happen, but the Israeli government may step in to prevent it from happening, or at least happening the way Numbers and the Talmud require.
