I have listened to all of the Fr. Malachi Martin interviews I can find. I believe the quote you are referring to was from the 1997 or 1998 interview he did on the Art Bell show. I looked for a transcript to write down the exact quote, but I couldn't find one and I don't have time right now to listen to the tapes again. From memory the conversation went something like this. Art Bell asked Fr. Martin if he could give a timetable for when he thought the events could occur and Fr. Martin said something to the effect of "Yes. It is not 100 years away, it is not 50 years away, it is not 20 years away". That is not a direct quote, but it is close. Again this was in 1997 or 1998. So we are right around the time he was referring to as the outside time limit. On a personal note having listened to so much of what Fr. Martin has said I am not sure that he knew any actual dates. I think he was most likely giving an educated guess. That is only my opinion though. I could be wrong.
I tend to pay attention to dates that seem important like September 23rd and October 13th, etc. but I never make any kind of plans around them, except maybe some more prayer, etc. I am convinced that some of these dates are indeed "markers" of some sort, but that they are things happening on a spiritual level. Not something we can always see from the material world. For example the two dates I cited above may have some significance such as the end of the time of Mercy and the start of the time of Justice, but we will not actually "see" anything happening. At least not on that exact day. Over time we may see the beginning of the effects happen, but I don't think something will happen all of a sudden. I think we need to be ready all of the time and be vigilant, but not become too wrapped up in any particular dates. It seems to me that can be harmful to our faith when nothing "seems" to happen over and over again and we become disheartened. Ignore the dates, things are happening every day. The Dubia, the corrections, the apostasy. These are big events in the history of the Church. Events are definitely happening all the time. This is just my personal viewpoint. I could be wrong.

I agree. I too have listened to all those interviews and I think he was simply trying to get across it was not in the far future but "soon" as ambiguous as that is. He did say more than once that he was watching the eastern sky every day. He also made reference to JPII waiting for the Blessed Mother to come

The EU started as the European Common Market; the EU grew from this in order to make the transfer of goods, money, and workers across borders much easier. At least, that's how it was presented to the general public. In truth, actual discussion in public about the consequences of these decisions was suppressed, usually under the heading of being a "fear mongerer". In short, it has been a slow, inexorable march to a monolithic European government, where there is no national loyalty but a loyalty to being "European". America tried that and fought a civil war to resolve it. I think the examples are pertinent: Robert E. Lee, at the outset of the war, was offered command of the Union Army. He turned it down, because he felt his loyalty to his home state (Virginia) was more important than any loyalty to the nation as a whole. Had the leaders decided at the outset to limit the EU to a federation or a confederacy AND gotten the general public behind them in this, then I think Brexit would never have happened. As it is, the British public has been subjected to a slow drip-drip-drip eating away at national sovereignty, being told they NEED to give up local control in order to improve economic conditions. The perception is that their voices do not matter, and there is no true representation in Brussels of British interests, not in a way where individual Britons have any realistic say in the rules and laws that govern their daily lives. It is, in short, a slow steady march to a common European political system, where local culture and traditions are suppressed if they should resist or be in opposition to what has been decided for them
I bet he didn't imagine people would be sitting here 20 years late hanging on every word he uttered. He may have just thought they were live interviews that would be forgotten with time. Who knows?

Thank you for your suggestion, I´ll keep it in my mind After the election of Macron in France and Merkel in Germany both of them will try to take the next steps to reach a common European political system. And like it always was this will be mainly justified by economic reasons. I think and always thought that the real purpose in the background is what you said: To make it easier for the leaders to suppresse the different cultures and traditions so that it will be easier to integrate the nations into the coming one world. All we can do is to remain in prayer and curiously expect the future

Luan, The following observation fits with your post and with the discussion of dates like Oct 13th and/or Nov. 7th. I think the dates are meant to get our attention, I don't know what will happen on these particular dates or any future date but I do think that God is probably using every means possible to get our attention, IMHO. No comments? Do you think that this is an accurate portrayal? I knew that there were protests occurring, we all are aware of that but I didn't understand the motivation I suppose, that is, if the creators of this documentary are correct. It's scary, if they are correct.
I think communism has been alive and well for decades in the Democratic party and to full blown with the Obama administration. Many RINO Republicans have since joined the ranks.
