Just got off the floor! My point in all seriousness, Harper, actually has nothing to do with Charlie Johnston or the archbishop's rulings. It's just that you continue to bird-dog Crew Dog no matter what he posts -- having to do with Charlie Johnston or not. Your history on this forum began shortly after the negative article about Charlie appeared in the National Catholic Register in April 2016 and most of your posts were made to disparage him. That, of course, is your right. But you were singularly focused on doing that until you left the forum earlier this year (I assume after you felt vindicated when Charlie's predictions didn't come to pass). You recently rejoined the forum and your initial post was --again --about Charlie Johnston. Your rancorous history with Crew Dog stems from the back and forth on Charlie last year and you can't seem to let go of that. You do seem to be stalking his every comment whether it has to do with Charlie or not. That said, I appreciate when you weigh in on other issues here. I think you have much to offer.

No so fast, Cathy. My history at MOG began in early 2015, more than a year before. My first post back was on Vassula Ryden. I posted on a whole bunch of topics, including Vassula Ryden and Pope Francis. CrewDog and FatimaPilgrim started in when I and others posted simple questions on CJ. The point wasn't to disparage CJ but to get answers about a possible religious fraud, which turned out to be the case.*

As for CrewDog's recent rants, I don't answer all his posts. But if he insists on a discussion thread that we're in a Civil War -- not the reality -- or that roving Antifa mobs are going to shut down commerce in the country because the police are scared to intervene -- why shouldn't I call that out? Or ask a question? I ask questions of other people. Let me ask you, again, where do you stand on "damn the archbishop" talk? You all right with that?

Try to avoid the nasty personal jabs in your comments going forward, Cathy.

ETA:* I'm fine now with disparaging someone who makes money off the fears of his followers. That's despicable.

I think this is all Satan's game, divide and conquer. Many of these "celebrities" are taking an extreme side which is discussed in the following article which CrewDog posted,
    http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/d...-belt-by-alienating-catholics/article/2633808

I believe it helps to share these stories so we can make better informed decisions in the event they seek office in the future. Let's face it, even if they don't seek office they still have more influence on society than the average person does and I think it helps to get a better understanding of which side they are standing on. IOW, which side they consider to be "right" as Clooney mentions in the article that I posted.

    YUP!!
I have no doubt that China has been At Economic War with the USA (and EU)! A war in which we have lost every battle thanks to The Elite in businessmen who were more interested in short term profits and corrupt politicians who will always sell-out their countries & souls for Campaign $$$$ & "Free" Perks while passing "Legislation/Regulations" that make it more-n-more difficult for business to survive here. Our Industries that once provided our everyday products have all but been "Outsourced" along with the good paying jobs. We are in a perilous position.

Speaking of China and this last Election 16! Why was NO One looking for Chinamen in the Stealing the Election process? Does anyone here believe that China has not been buying off politicians and funding Front Groups .... just like they infamously did during the Clinton/Gore Administrations 20+ years ago!?? HullyGee!! Maybe NO One is looking for Chinese Corruption because ..................................:(

Some who are conservative in Hollywood believe that they are being blacklisted, they are referring to it as a new McCarthyism.

    From August 28, 2017,
    https://www.independentsentinel.com/modern-day-mccarthyism-james-woods-blacklisted-from-hollywood/
James Woods states, "I have never witnessed such a coordinated and vicious assault against a single individual in our history as that against this president."

    From March 19, 2017,
    http://www.foxnews.com/entertainmen...ollywood-is-like-living-in-1930s-germany.html
Tim Allen states, "You gotta be real careful around here," Allen noted. "You get beat up if you don't believe what everybody else believes. This is like '30s Germany." Hmmm, from August 6th, "Tim Allen’s Politics Had ‘Absolutely Nothing’ to Do With ‘Last Man Standing’ Cancellation, ABC Says " http://www.thewrap.com/tim-allen-politics-absolutely-nothing-last-man-standing-cancellation/

    March 11, 2017, http://www.latimes.com/business/hollywood/la-fi-ct-conservatives-hollywood-20170311-story.html
From an anonymous actor, “In 30 years of show business, I’ve never seen it like this,” said the actor. “If you are even lukewarm to Republicans, you are excommunicated from the church of tolerance.”

I think that this article from September 1, 2017 is a very good discussion of the current situation in Hollywood and the USA from one actress's perspective,
    http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2017...eres-incredible-story-what-happened-next.html

And on September 8th, from Jennifer Lawrence on climate change; the hurricanes hitting Texas and Florida; and Donald Trump,
    http://www.foxnews.com/entertainmen...s-may-be-natures-wrath-for-trump-victory.html

This is from back on March 13, 2017 , http://www.breitbart.com/big-hollyw...uence-hollywood-conservatives-need-grow-pair/
I suppose the advice given in this article was not taken. Maybe enough of the liberals will begin imploding like Martha Plimpton and George Clooney more recently; and Ashley Judd and Madonna, etc. They are free to express their opinion and we are free to take note of what their opinion is, especially if their opinion is to completely stamp out conservative values. There are differing levels of belief within the Church. A Catholic is bound to believe the Magesterium of the Church. However, a decision such as the one made by the bishop in Denver would not be one that a Catholic is obligated to believe. One is expected to accept the decision of the bishop on the grounds of obedience, but not obligated to believe it. Padre Pio was suspended for a time and his followers were obedient to the decision. I doubt that they believed in it and, if not, was there sin?

Where is the evidence that a 'fraud' has turned out to be the case? Unless you possess it, this is calumny. A mistake is not fraud. Just because one does not believe what someone says does not imply fraud.

And making a 'few hundred dollers a month' from devotional merchandise is hardly massive extortion. Undoubtedly, he had to incur certain expenses in the pursuit of his mission. It's not unreasonable to generate a revenue stream in order to achieve this, if he was acting in good faith and, although he turned out to be wrong, I see no decisive reason to assume otherwise. If you have such evidence, show it. Otherwise you're just a gossip.

I think saying damn the archbishop, or words that that effect, IS NOT GOOD. It's an outright rejection of the bishop's lawful authority to make a judgment -- which Aquila has, twice-- on an alleged visionary within his diocese.

The archbishop has officially said the messages are not approved, the 2016-2017 visions (plural) are inaccurate, Catholics are not to condone them (the visions) or attempt to reinterpret them to make them true.

CrewDog cited St. Faustina and Jesus of Divine Mercy to bolster an argument that we don't have to follow the bishop or the Vatican these days. NOT GOOD. Not Catholic. ETA: This is not saying 'I disagree with the bishop', or 'the bishop is mistaken,' but that we do not have to follow the bishop's instruction. We do, in obedience.

As for fraud? Well, Charlie's boasted about making money from merchandise sales on his blog. He's backed away from eight "absolute" predictions and is now even fudging about a Rescue leading directly into Mayberry bliss by January. If his earlier predictions had no firm basis, how can he insist-- for example --the "Prayer of Miraculous Trust" came from an angel? The stuff is still for sale, though, as a miraculous prayer... what do you call that?
