The Eclipse Event of 2017 is about over in my Neck of the Woods. We had about a 92% eclipse you have to have a 99.5% eclipse to go-dark. I donned my welders mask in conjunction with a pair of old AF sunglasses and only peeked up every few minutes. I noticed at the the max coverage point that my Humming Birds seemed to be in their busy/frantic mode that you see near Sunset. The Hummers are part of the Triple F-A that live around the place .... FFFA stands for Furry & Feathered Freeloaders Association. GOD SAVE ALL HERE!!
Lol same here at 92%. It grew pretty chilly out. My coffee was steaming Quite a bit darker but not near the totality. My FFA's all holed up in their coop roosts.
We had a darkening like sun going behind dark storm cloud in Ocean City MD Not as much as crew and Don We may have made 80% Used welders lens #14 so was safe Fffa gulls were screaming Good to hear from MOG fellow eclipse buddies
Here in northern New England the light became like twilight and the shadows got very long but that was all. And then it was over. We only got 56% of it apparently.
Another earthquake in Italy. This time it's Iscia, an island in the Gulf of Naples: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/201...oric-italian-island-ischia-causing-buildings/
You know this guy on YouTube has been saying that Italy is going to have one any time now. He is watching the quakes as they hit and then exert pressure into other regions around the globe following the plates. I have only been watching him for a week now. That said, I am pretty amazed by his accuracy and also wondering just what the heck our Government is doing when some guy on YT can read the signs of quakes and volcanos and accurately give warnings. He's really secular so take it for what you will.
Someone posted a link to his youtube channel a while ago. His predictions are quite accurate. I think there's a suspicion that the Italians under-rate the magnitude of earthquakes - something to do with entitlements if the earthquake is above a certain magnitude which I think is around the 5 or 5.5 level.
Like the USGS does here in the US due to fracking quakes. Many states have laws in place relating to them as well. Now that they finally stopped denying that they are causing them they simply slide the numbers. It's the fox guarding the hen house as usual.
More troops to Afghanistan. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/201...oops-to-afghanistan-senior-official-says.html President Trump has signed off on sending an additional 4,000 troops to Afghanistan, ahead of his address to the nation Monday night, Fox News has learned. Trump is set to unveil his strategy for Afghanistan, becoming the third commander-in-chief to attempt to stabilize the war-torn country and forge a victory in what is now America’s longest war. An estimated 8,400 U.S. troops are currently in Afghanistan. The speech is scheduled for 9 p.m. EDT Monday. The president will deliver the nationally televised address to troops stationed at the Army's Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, located next to Arlington National Cemetery. A big part of tonigh't speech will include "asking the region to do more," specifically asking India and Pakistan to do more to bring the Taliban to the negotiating table, a senior U.S. official told Fox News. Already, the Trump administration has ramped up airstrikes in Afghanistan this year: 1,984 from January to July, nearly triple the amount from the same period in 2016, according to the U.S. Air Force. Trump tweeted Saturday that he had reached a decision on the way forward, after meeting to review options with top advisers at Camp David. While the president has not revealed the contours of his plan, associates expect he will keep U.S. troops in the country and possibly approve sending thousands more. TRUMP'S AFGHANISTAN ADDRESS: WHAT TO WATCH FOR "I think he is going to give [his generals] a chance to prove what they want and their strategy," former Trump deputy campaign manager David Bossie told "Fox & Friends," noting that Trump can adjust the plan in the future. The stakes are high. Some 16 years after the 9/11 terror attacks, which first drew U.S. forces into Afghanistan, the local government controls just half the country – beset by the Taliban insurgency and terrorist factions. An Islamic State affiliate has been hit hard but continues to attempt major attacks. Politically speaking, Trump also is trying to hit reset after perhaps the rockiest stretch of his presidency, one that saw multiple staff shakeups and an all-consuming controversy last week over his response to the violence in Charlottesville. The president took heat for repeatedly blaming “both sides” for the clashes at a white supremacist rally, where a counter-protester was killed in a car attack. The response was met with a bipartisan rebuke from members of Congress and a wave of resignations from various corporate and other advisory boards. Refocusing on national security, Trump is now faced with one of the most complex and difficult military challenges. In Afghanistan, Gen. John Nicholson's comments suggested the Pentagon may have won its argument that the U.S. military must remain engaged in order to ensure that terrorists aren't again able to threaten the U.S. from havens inside Afghanistan. "I assure you we are with you in this fight. We are with you and we will stay with you," Nicholson said during a ceremony at Camp Morehead, a training base for Afghan commandoes southeast of Kabul. The added forces would increase training and advising of the Afghan forces and bolster counterterrorism operations against the Taliban and the Islamic State affiliate trying to gain a foothold in the country. The administration had been at odds for months over how to craft a new Afghan war strategy. Defense Secretary Jim Mattis, who visited Afghanistan over the weekend, declared himself satisfied with how the administration had formulated its new strategy. But he refused to discuss details before Trump's announcement. Fox News' Jennifer Griffin, Lucas Tomlinson and the Associated Press contributed to this report.
The remote control portion may be unusual but this kind of manipulation has been used for various reasons and diseases, to enhance motor control, etc. but this approach appears to be another restructuring the human being solely for material and limited purposes. Scientists remotely hacked a brain, controlling body movements Imagine someone remotely controlling your brain, forcing your body’s central processing organ to send messages to your muscles that you didn’t authorize. It’s an incredibly scary thought, but scientists have managed to accomplish this science fiction nightmare for real, albeit on a much small scale, and they were even able to prompt their test subject to run, freeze in place, or even completely lose control over their limbs. Thankfully, the research will be used for good rather than evil… for now. ......Despite only being tested on mice, the research could have far-reaching implications in the realm of brain research. The holy grail for dreamers like Elon Musk is that we’ll one day be able to tweak our brains to eliminate mood disorders and make us more perfect creatures. This groundbreaking research could very well be an important step towards that future. http://bgr.com/2017/08/18/brain-hack-science-limb-control/
He is indeed. I commented because of a few comments here and there regarding those who are religious.
I've been checking in on Dutchsince's blog off and on for 6 years now, plus now his FB and YouTube channels. He's got a pretty good method and track record and it's driving the "experts" crazy.
This is terrifying. Another devilish invention disguised as "help" for the suffering. Reminds me of the claims that embryonic stem cells would solve paralysis.
Pics of earthquake damage....still believe that it was only 3.5? Some upped it to 4.3 at least. Also near the super volcano. http://www.express.co.uk/news/world...ake-Ischia-Island-volanco-Campi-Flegrei-Italy
‘Catholic’ PM Justin Trudeau Pushes for Abortion as ‘Human Right’ in Ireland The nominally Catholic Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, has urged his Irish counterpart to consider abortion in Ireland as a “fundamental” human right. During a three-day meeting in Canada between Mr. Trudeau and the openly gay Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar, the two leaders spoke about Mr. Varadkar’s intention to hold a referendum next year aimed at repealing the Eighth Amendment to the Irish constitution, which protects the right to life of the unborn child. Varadkar told journalists that the two leaders had discussed the abortion issue for Ireland, as well as his plans for the referendum, which would “give the people of Ireland the opportunity to remove our constitutional ban on abortion, should they wish to do so.” For his part, Mr. Trudeau said that he had advised the Irish Prime Minister, or “Taoiseach,” to push “reproductive rights” as a fundamental human right. http://www.breitbart.com/national-s...ushes-for-abortion-as-human-right-in-ireland/
This earthquake was only 60 miles from Sorrento where we stayed for ten days in early August. The quake was shallow hence damaging even though registering 4.3 Prayers for the dead and injured.
