Do you know if the Nazis were affiliated at all with the free Masons? There is a lot of chatter coming out about how the Nazis never died and simply changed tactics. Or at least those behind the Nazis, and it is compelling.

Nazis liked Islam, hated Jews. Thought Christianity was weak. Embraced eugenics. Experimented on everyone.

    Yes!(y)

What you say has truth. It was the indiscriminate killing of thousands of civilians that bothers me. It raises a question for me also: The target of Nagasaki was reputedly chosen because of it's strategic naval yard, but the bomb was dropped 2 miles away directly over the Catholic Basilica. It is recorded that there was a break in cloud cover that gave the bomber a clear view of the target. Ironically, Holy Mass was being offered at the time the bomb was dropped. A reassuring thought it is that Catholics were at prayer at the moment of death. How fortunate for them!

I always keep in mind that President Truman was a 33rd degree Mason. I still pray for his soul.

That's the thing, it is kind of eerie how familiar this is. I kept thinking there is an Islamic communist push. But now there are many people demonstrating how the Nazis were actually socialist/communist.

Then there is the other side capitalistic Zionism. Maybe this side is masonic.

Could it be Nazi Islamism vs Zionic Masons? Both would be heavily into the occult as well.

Just asked grok what an Islamic Nazi state/government would look like. Wild, absolutely wild.

What if Nazis captured Iran? The name literally means Aryan.

    It was a terrible dilemma.

    But two things trouble me:

1). The Church teaches that one may not do evil in order to achieve good.

2). The US bombs seem to have targeted the small Catholic population of Japan.

    Nagasaki was the most Catholic
Nagasaki was the most Catholic city in Japan. The very heart of Catholic Japan. Hiroshima also had a large Catholic population. What are the odds that two Catholic cities would be chosen together by accident? It must be millions to one.

Also both cites had been spared previous conventual bombings probably to leave them as pristine as possible to test the A Bombs for the first time.

There is no way a Catholic could argue that the use of Nukes or A bombs could ever be moral, especially against cities.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC 2314): Explicitly states: "Every act of war directed to the indiscriminate destruction of whole cities or vast areas with their inhabitants is a crime against God and man, which merits firm and unequivocal condemnation,"

That's not something I can know from the book I'm reading, because it was written well before the Nazis rose to power. From what I've read elsewhere, it seems that Hitler was opposed to the freemasons because a great many of them were Jews.

But what I can tell you is that the tenets of freemasonry make them very approving of revolutions of any kind, which they encourage and use to their ends--namely, to attack the Church and spread evil through the world. The fact of the matter is that Satan is the one behind all these evils, whether it's freemasonry, or communism, or Nazism. What Leo XIII repeatedly warned was that there were many secret societies besides the freemasons, but that there was someone using and coordinating them all to achieve the same ultimate end: destruction of Christianity. Whether that is just straight up Satan himself appearing to the higher ups in these orders, or some secret figure, I don't know.

I had thought maybe in your studies, not just this book, you may have come across something. Thanks for the info from PLXIII. I agree that something dark is coordinating these societies, which is why we see the same kinds of modus operandi as the Nazis in action today.

I am astounded that on a Catholic forum there are members who seem to be condoning the slaughter of 100s of thousands instantly in a nuclear attack. There is none, zero, no justification for this. Pure indiscriminate, planned, and deliberate evil.

I understand yout point but I still believe there are good, well-intentioned politicians on both sides of the aisle.

I suspect many enter public service for the right reasons. The problem is what happens once they're in office. The pressure to get reelected, raise money, satisfy party leadership, and appeal to the ideological fringes of their respective parties can gradually overshadow the original desire to serve the public.

I recall that George Washington warned about the dangers of political parties in his Farewell Address. He understood that loyalty to a party could eventually become more important than loyalty to the country.

I also think we've moved away from an important tradition of our early republic which was the idea of citizen legislators. They would serve for a period of time and then return to their communities, professions, and everyday lives.

I doubt many of the founders envisioned the emergence of a permanent political class whose livelihoods and careers depended on remaining in office.

I don't believe the problem is necessarily a shortage of good people. I think it's a political system that too often rewards the wrong behaviors and makes it difficult for good people to remain true to their original intentions.

Perhaps the challenge isn't simply electing better people, but creating a system that allows good people to govern without constantly worrying about their political survival. With that said, ive no clue how we might get to that

I think not voting has the potential to make a valid political statement. If enough choose this route, it at least reduces the legitimacy of consensus party rule.

I am afraid as with the Church so with Nations. If they go so far down a certain road it becomes too late to change them. There has to be a reset.

I remember that passage of the Gospel being read at Mass recently. It had been preceded by a reading from (I think it was) Isaiah that there is nothing that doesn’t come from God. This seems to suggest that when Christ said ‘render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s’, He most deeply meant that ultimately nothing is Caesar’s. Christ was being prudent, knowing it was best for his disciples not to provoke Caesar, but the latter knew the limits of it and many gloriously refused to offer Caesar worship. Taxes weren’t the hill to fight on!
