Thank you for this reminder, Purpleflower. Yes, so what do I do in the meantime? I'm a "big picture" person, but ultimately "big picture" means diddly squat. The following reminder is short and sweet. Geralyn and I enjoyed a wonderful, but brief visit yesterday down in Pennsylvania because my daughter, Therese, and her hubby Johnny and soon-to-be four children, were east, visiting his family. The clip below reminds me what is really important, no matter the day or circumstances or the people we interact with each and everyday! https://www.youtube.com/shorts/vvUs0RCrW2g I think Fr. Mark Beard was so forceful and in-your-face because he sensed his time was short. So let us follow his example and not neglect whatever holy opportunity presents itself. Love of God and neighbor!

I thought we were expanding and growing. I’m asking because I’m feeling this could render a severe punishment from God. The Mideast states all flank the New Madrid fault line. And ….
I heard about the hot weather over there. Do the farmers have irrigation systems like we have here? I didn’t notice any in the pics.
Realistically speaking, there are probably some parishes that mostly consist of older people and will have very few parishioners remaining in 20 years.
