Turning and turning in the widening gyre The falcon cannot hear the falconer; Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world, The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere The ceremony of innocence is drowned; The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity. WB Yeats
You think you were cross??? I had to have a colonoscopy Friday am and I had to fast for two days. Only liquid, broth, and jello. I was having a big pity party and whining for two days. I was thinking I am not a good Catholic, maybe I should go to confession! The Bible days you must keep your mouth shut and not look dour but I was not doing a good job of it. I am so glad that is over.
I have quoted this often of late. Yeats was prescient. Especially " the best lack all conviction while the worst are full of passionate intensity."
I had a colonoscopy for an ulcer (a trifle compared to you) some years ago. Not pleasant. I’d say God makes a special allowance for that experience!
