So that I understand you correctly – posting purely political opinions or assessments should remain the exception in every thread? Just to clarify this for myself, and perhaps for others too, since you are the boss.
Im so happy to read this and Padraig's post. I was a bit dismayed by so many of the political posts. I understand some... but it did seem it became the focus. I love this place for the prayers offered and received where people share their crosses , suffering and joys and hopes. Peace.
I did not say so. But this is a spiritual rather than a political place. We might talk about politics in the vicinity of a Church but very well might not choose to do so, because it is a place apart. Simply because that is not its purpose. The primary purpose of this place is spiritual/religious rather than political. There are a billion places where you can post on politics. It is your choice. But I would remind you that the purpose of this place is religious/spiritual rather than political. Would we talk about politics in a place that was say centered on cooking, or golf or sports? We might well choose not. You must be aware of this yourself? That this is inapt? I am not ordering you to stop , But I would only appeal to your own commonsense. IF this were indeed a golf, cooking or sports site the response might very well be..,,, much, much more direct.
I don't mind a certain amount of politics when it is related to religious matters, like say abortion. But we appear to be mainlining on politics at the moment. This is inappropriate.
I like using acrylics, too. These are beautiful. I would like to know if you have titles for them? I like Golden acrylics they take longer to dry and are easier to blend. Have you ever used them? God has given you a gift and it’s good you are using it.
Those are beautiful Maryrose! I have just been doing tutorials and lessons so far, none of my own yet, but I could post a few of what I have done.
I am listening to Dan Schneider speaking at the Divine Mercy conference. He is a former cobra pilot. And now a biblical scholar and writer on spiritual combat. He is talking about spiritual warfare and its quite wonderful. He speaks in terms of real combat. I think too much attention to worldly news (politics) takes our eyes off Christ and weakens our strength in this battle. Just my 2 cents. Really strongly urge listening to this talk--Divine Mercy Conference Dr Dan Schneider.
