May God rest the soul of that poor lady. She was American. The injured are Australian, Spanish, Israeli and British and thank God their injuries are not serious. The assailant is a Norwegian citizen of Somali origin. The police are saying that there is no evidence that the attack was terrorism related.

No, I think the thought is by allowing priests to marry then the priesthood would be able to avail itself to a much larger pool of respectable people but I do understand what Dolours is saying that this would create a whole new set of problems, like for one how does the church provide for families as opposed to priests.
The problem is that Our Whole Society is Broken, it's all one big snowball that has been getting bigger and faster as it rolls down a mountain of snow and there is no quick fix for it at this point.

Maybe this has been posted already, but looks like more bad news from France. The islam-appeasing, Freemason Hollande sent his thugs to forcefully takeover a Catholic Church during Mass:

"And when you shall see the abomination of desolation, standing where it ought not: he that readeth let him understand: then let them that are in Judea, flee unto the mountains..."

Would the Great Catholic Monarch please stand up. France needs you badly.

Seems ominous. Obama is chief-of-staff of the most powerful armed forces in the world. There is no shortage of armed police throughout the US. There is the National Guard and the FBI. Is Obama preparing the groundwork to attempt a coup? This has the potential for civil war. Extraordinary times.

  6. Remember this?? (He's already been purging the military of high ranking individuals who probably would not go along with his treasonous plans while social engineering the lower ranks.)

  7. And I think Obama has been encouraging such civilian takeover (mobs)....beginning with the police, legitimate authority, being targeted, assassinated, and with excuses given each time for such anarchy.

It is amazing what Obama has accomplished to fundamentally transform this country...just like he promised. So, so sad.

    Christ was celibate.

    His Mother was a virgin.

    Were these mistakes?

The Churches tradition of celibacy can be traced directly back to Jesus, Mary and St Paul.

    2000 years of tradition.

Yet now all of a sudden we got it wrong and Martin Luther was right?

    I mean really?

"Is Obama preparing the groundwork to attempt a coup?" That question stopped me dead in my tracks and shocked the heck out of me. But I believe you are right.

It's shocking to believe that the U.S. could be the victim of our own insane meddling in foreign nations.

This would also explain why so many UN vehicles have been transported to various locations in the U.S. to quell any uprisings by its citizens.

No, he isn't preparing the groundwork for a coup in the US. He is confident that he has the support for this initiative from the establishment of both political parties in the US. What he foresees is repressing pockets of rebellion within the US and in other ostensibly democratic countries. The Republican establishment will sell this as the US and UN getting tough on Islamic terrorism, but these are the people who armed Islamic terrorists. Their long term aim isn't repressing Islamic terrorist groups but anyone that future administrations will label terrorists or supporters of terrorism. The definition of terrorism will change to suit the prevailing power.

I totally agree with you. There is much written about this within the Church that expresses the beautiful Tradition of celibacy. What is happening today is not a result of forcing celibacy on the priests. Celibacy is a gift from God allowing the person to be totally dedicated to complete service to the Church. Jesus spoke of it and lived it out Himself. It comes from a calling by God and as such God will provide the grace necessary to remain faithful to this calling. The tsunami/onslaught of pornography and marketing of sex on TV/phones and everywhere does make it extremely difficult for a priest who is overwhelmed with work and doesn't spend enough time in prayer, but the answer is not marriage. Rather it is the need of the priest to live a life of self denial, prayer, and penance, and also WE must pray for our local priests daily.

And yes the infiltration of Free Masons & Communists into the seminaries (again read Bella Dodd's testimony for an example) is a big factor as well and must be acknowledged (this is not some conspiracy but is a reality).

When I was in the seminary back in the late 80's in Boston (I was in the religious order called The Oblates of the Virgin Mary but we went to St. John's Seminary for our theology classes which is the Diocesan seminary for Massachusetts) , I can tell you that many of the professors there at the time were homosexuals and very liberal regarding Church teaching and they were in charge of who they let into the seminary (= a number of the diocesan seminarians were also homosexual - I was openly hit on by them). One of the reasons for me going into a religious order was that my own diocesan seminary back in Northern California had a reputation of rampant homosexuality as well (my own pastor said to stay away from it). Though it wasn't the reason for me leaving the seminary after 6 years (I was a temporary professed religious brother with 2 more years left to become a priest), my experience at St. John's did influence my decision to leave. I had every intention of going back to the seminary after taking a couple years off, but then my own sinful life after leaving took me in the wrong direction & I ran away from God and my calling. By the way, if the calling is authentic it never leaves you even if you abandon it.

I ended up getting married to a very liberal feminist wife who I was unfaithful to for many years because of how far I had fallen away from my faith. Through the mercy of God and specifically through the tender love of Mary, God brought me back to the Church and back to a strong pray life. I now have 2 wonderful daughters that are 13 and 15, but are greatly influenced by my wife. My wife has a good heart, but she thinks all organized religions are corrupt and man made and is your very typical modern moral relativist liberal and it has been very difficult for me (especially during this election year), but I know God is with me and He has made it very clear to me that I must remain faithful to her and stay in the marriage (I try to go to daily Mass and I pray Rosaries and the Divine Mercy prayer daily). He has graced me undeservedly with a very strong faith and I know He will draw my wife and daughters into the Church when the time is right. Don't know why I shared this, but I felt inspired to do so.

I think people are thinking "how do we fix these problems? (pedophile, seminarians dating same sex & opposite sex, low numbers of priests in general)", but the problem is with our society not with the church. And that is not an easy fix.
