This is the kind of Lutheran we're talking about in this particular sacrilegious Communion. If Canon 915 were obeyed they wouldn't be permitted to receive even if they were Catholic.

Please edit the footer of your picture, or remove it. This is our Blessed Mother's forum - do you think she calls our Holy Father Bergoglio?

I didn't create the image, I simply shared it. In some Latin countries that's how they refer to the pope for some reason.

That said, I wish you would get near as upset about this pro-homosexual female Lutheran "bishop" receiving sacrilegious Communion as the silly little footer on the photo. That speaks volumes about the fidelity of posts here. I suspect Our Lady is more upset by this quiet acceptance of sacrilegious Communion than someone's silly little footer.

    Matthew 23:24 comes to mind.

I do t always agree with Brian. I often have a hard time with some of his posts. But he is right on here. Not saying it's the Popes fault but this should have NEVER happened and someone should be held accountable

Indeed. I'm dismayed at the way this forum has rolled over and accepted this grave sacrilege. Both - the sacrilegious Communion and the forum response - are scandalous.

Enough already! Inter-Communion with the Lutherans means that we would be expected to believe Communion from that Bishop is the body, blood, soul and divinity of Jesus. Lutherans also perform blessings of same sex union. No individual minister is obliged to officiate but those who won't have to organise another minister to stand in for them. :(

Sometimes I feel like hibernating for a few years.

I don't think it is a matter of rolling over on this issue. Like all astonishing news developing these days, I did not want to knee jerk the issue. This certainly can not be ignored. It should surely be commented on by the Holy Father or it, like so many other litugical abuses, will go unchecked world wide into a crisis of faith practice.

    Done.

Now where is your condemnation of this sacrilege and scandal?!?

"The devil’s principle works are confusion and anger and by that he sows division. We are experiencing a lot of that in the Church today too, which is profoundly sad, the attempt to put one person against another and calumnies against good people simply defending the Catholic faith, claiming that they’re enemies of the Pope or they’re going into schism. So you have a ridiculous situation of someone who simply defends what the Church has always taught and practiced being accused of being schismatic or being contrary to the Roman Pontiff. This is all the work of the devil and we have to recognize it for such and not let ourselves be deterred or intimidated by that. A lot of that too is meant to intimidate good people, to silence them by making them feel that somehow they’re not being a faithful Catholic when in fact, they’re being a faithful Catholic in an essential way by defending the Truth of the Faith."

I wouldn't see this myself as attacking the Holy Father. But there is something very, very wrong here.

The Body of Christ is not a bag of popcorn to be passed around to prove how palsy we have gotten.
Also any Protestant sect that supports sexual perversion as an expresion of a sacramental state is no longer Christian. I don't know what they are but they are not Christian.

They also support the murder of unborn babies. I would not let them within a mile of a Catholic Church let alone the Body of Christ.

Again not being nasty, just being honest. The doorway to Mercy is through the doorway of Justice. Justice and Mercy go hand in hand.

Anyone who thinks it is right for Lutheran to get near the Body of CHrist is in my opnion half way to being morally insane. As Morally Insane as the Lutherans themselves are.

Sharing hurtful things is also hurtful.

    2 Corinthians 6:14

Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?

The world around is is effectively morally insane. We live in it and have gotten so used to it we take it for granted. The one moral light of sanity was and is the Catholic Church. We don't assist the morally insane by pretending that they are not morally insane.

We don't cause moral insanity to dissapear by pretending it does not exist. We do not show mercy by no longer proclaiming the Truth or pretending that the truth does not exist.

For instance Martin Luther was a heretic and an arch heretic. Pretending he was not a heretic by commemorating the guys activities does not make him any less a heretic.

The greatest mercy we can show people is to tell them the truth. What I am writing here is not novel. It is what the Church has believed since Luther first went into rebellion.

So , suddenly we are to, 'Commemorate,' him?

    In God's name why?

I am not called to condemn; my mission is to love. We have a God who is still on His throne, and is still in charge of judgments and condemnation.

It might take till my last breath to do penance for every word I've spoken that offended the Lord, not to mention every time I've held a brother or sister in contempt and every time I've refused to love my neighbor as myself. I'm begging the Lord to preserve me from piling on more of that poison in this late hour.

There is a fine line between supporting the Pope, bishops and priests and supporting, either through silence or verbal support, what is blatantly in error. For one thing we are to examine our conscience before we receive the body and blood of our Lord as scripture attests to. Prostestants don't examine faith and morals the way the Catholic church does, especially as it pertains to moral issues on divorce and remarriage and contraception to name a few. That is just a few reasons it is so wrong.

In the end we will also be judged on standing up or caving into grave error when we see it. We have to be carefull to not speak out when we see gave error as this too is wrong.

Brian, this Pope could not do one thing right to please you and company... even if he bought your crew dinner to disguse matters.
