    Catholic Militant TV just uploaded this wonderful video of Michael Voris talking very recently in the beautiful St St Stephen's Church in Cleveland.

    Micheal seems to me to be growing spiritually by leaps and bounds and the talk is very moving.

    He tells how in his twenties he was successful in TV but how he and his brother were living a very bad lifestyle.

    His devout Catholic mother was praying for them both, apparently with no success at all. She told Michael one time,

    'I don't want to be up there in heaven , looking down at you in hell'.

    Finally she offered herself up for their salvation and was diagnosed with stomache cancer in its very early stages just two weeks later. It seems the good souls offer was taken up by God as both Michael and his brother experiences radical conversion.

    Its just wonderful how God is raising up people like Michael just when needed, the sacrifice of his dear mother was not in vain.....

    Michael gets a bad press in some parts of the Catholic blog world but he's my hero. He 'tells it 'like it is' and accepts the consequences. He was instructed to remove the word 'Catholic' from his organisation's name by his bishop when the US bishops seem perfectly happy to have the word included in such foul publications as the National Catholic Reporter (or National Schismatic Reporter as Father Z rightly refers to it.)

    I would encourage all Catholics to sign up to his organisation, ChurchMilitant.TV, and get some solidly Catholic insights into what is going on in the Church and the world.

    Thanks for this Padraig.

    I have been a $$ supporter of Michael and his minstry for over a year. However, I was not real happy about 2 months ago, when he belittled prophecy and those who seem to support it. He reminds me allot of Father Corapi in his straight forward and no gray area kind of guy. I hope he has the humility that Father Corapi lacked though.

    I am sorry if he attacked prophecy. He is very much mistaken in this, it is unscriptural to despise prophecy;

    1 Thessalonians 5:20

    Do not treat prophecies with contempt

    But in the recent talk he gave in Cleveland he just seems to me to have spiritually grown. He appears to me anyway to be praying a lot. In this he seems very like Michael Brown of 'Spirit Daily' who also seems to be to be growig spiritually, being raised up in fact. God provides for his people by raising up leaders.

    It is a good point about Fr Corapi. If you go to the front to lead the troops there is a better chance of getting shot. So people like Michael need to be praying very,very hard to resist temptation:

    Luke 22:31

    'Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift you as wheat'

    But Michael seems to be up for it. Whereas poor Fr Corapi was not.
