I don't know if it's been asked before but I do feel drawn to the book of revelations, I was just curious in which chapter of the book of revelation do people feel we are living in today.
Yes for the last few years I really also feel drawn to read it over and over, and also book of Ezekial. I have compared Revelations to Daniel trying to get a handle on the times but just not sure. When the US Trade's Buildings were attacked in 2001 I felt sure it was part of it, where the sailers view from their ships and morn her and her riches part (don't have my bible here so don't have the chapter) I feel though that God is telling me to go to Revelations and read and I do but there is so much that COULD be and really hard to pin things down on where we are at.
It is believed Our Lady of Guadalupe is the woman clothed with the sun,...and she has been calling and gathering her children, so as the new Eve is to give birth to her children formed into the image of her Son,..in the great battle, we are now facing. It seems to me we are getting very close,..as we see there are so many Catholics who are fallen away,..and many have fallen into error. The blood of the innocents are calling for vengence,..as well as the sins of sodomy and the deprivation of mans just wages. I think it is just a matter of time, that the time of Mercy will run out. I will have to read Revalations again,..but it seems to me through all Our Ladys apparitions and messages, if we have been listening and putting ino practice what she has been telling us, we will be ready. It seems as though a great dividing is taking place. So much darkness in the world and peoples minds. It seems as though the only thing that will change anything, will be the warning. Then people will be given the chance to choose which way they want to go. A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun… She was with child and wailed aloud in pain as she labored to give birth… there will be famines and earthquakes from place to place. All thesethe beginning of the labor pains. (Rev 12:1-2; Matt 24:7-8)
Now that Mark Mallett is on the forum,..maybe we could get some of his insight,..just a thought?? I know has done some writing on it.
was blessed to travel to Patmos to the cave of the Apocolypse where St John wrote Revelations.....amazing!
I've tried for a while to find a sure link to theses quotes of Lucy of Fatima, because it's hard to trust some Fatima sites nowadays, but here are some things attributed to Sr. Lucia. Sr. Lucia specifically points to chapters 8-13 of the Book of Revelation as the portion relevant to the Third Secret (see The Whole Truth About Fatima, Volume III p533). And it seems that the struggle between the Dragon and the Woman Adorned with the Sun in Rev 12 (which I argue in the book recapitulates the "signs in heaven" described at the opening of the sixth seal, and is a personified dramatisation of this astronomical phenomena) is the chief point of reference in this hidden text, as we can determine from Sr. Lucia's interview with Father Fuentes: "Father, the devil is in the mood for engaging in a decisive battle against the Blessed Virgin, and the devil knows what it is that most offends God, and which in a short space of time will gain for him the greatest number of souls. Thus the devil does everything to overcome souls consecrated to God, because in this way the devil will succeed in leaving the souls of the faithful abandoned by their leaders, thereby the more easily will he seize them. "Father, the Most Holy Virgin did not tell me that we are in the last times of the world, but She made me understand this for three reasons. The first reason is because She told me that the devil is in the mood for engaging in a decisive battle against the Virgin. And a decisive battle is the final battle where one side will be victorious and the other side will suffer defeat. Hence from now on we must choose sides. Either we are for God or we are for the devil; there is no other possibility. (Cited in Kramer, P. The Devil's Final Battle, p168) http://unveilingtheapocalypse.blogspot.com/2012/05/third-secret-and-turn-of-millennium.html
I believe that the best 'definition and description' of the book of Revelation is Fr. Gobbi's book. In the Chapter that says that our Lady 'opens the sealed book' ... its AMAZING AND FILLED WITH TRUTH. I read it in the 80's and it all has unfolded before my eyes. One of the greatest gifts God has given me...!!
At Medugorje Our Lady said: August 25, 1993: “...Read Sacred Scripture, live it, and pray to understand the signs of the time. This is a special time...” And on June 25, 1991:“...If you pray, God will help you discover the true reason for my coming. Therefore, little children, pray and read the Sacred Scriptures so that through my coming you discover the message in Sacred Scripture for you...” One of the visionaries on being asked about the ten secrets Our Lady gave them said that she wondered why people asked about them, since they are all contained in Chapter 12 of the Book of Revelations: “A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. She was with child and wailed aloud in pain as she labored to give birth.” Revelation 12:1-2 'For centuries, man waited for such a time. Man has had to wonder and be mystified by such an extraordinary time whenever he reads Revelation Chapter 12. St. Louis De Montfort wrote four hundred years ago, he longed for the time we are living now. He wrote of a time when Mary would be made known as never before; a time waited for by Heaven itself; that men, who would be apostles of the latter time, would be placed in charge over the impious; a time in which Her children would be purified as the children of Levi through tribulation; a time, which he ends his ecstatic writings saying, “I long for it. I wait, I wait...”'Matthew 13: 16-17 states:“But blest are your eyes because they see and blest are your ears because they hear. I assure you many a prophet and many a saint longed to see what you see but did not see it, to hear what you hear but did not hear it.”
