Heartbreaking. All I can do now is pray for the evil to be exposed. God save America.

At Mass this morning Father said that we need to put Jesus and seeking the Kingdom first no matter what happens with the election. This was before the announcement. So we shall just keep on
    worshipping the One True God.

Joe's "victory" means nothing, at this point the Court will decide. Keep praying.
Will all the proofs, the harder will be his fall.

No. The electors are to be chosen by the state party leaders, and it's a "winner take all" proposition: all of the state elector's votes are supposed to go to the person who won the popular vote in that state. While this has been the tradition since the founding of the Republic, there is nothing in the Constitution that REQUIRES this. Consequently, there was talk in the last presidential election of Republican electors casting their votes for a Republican other than Trump, or for the Democrat electors voting for Sanders instead of Hillary. Some (but not all) of the states have now enacted what are called "faithless electors" laws that codify this tradition: in those states, an elector is forbidden from casting his/her ballot for someone other than the winner of the popular vote in that state.

The last time this was an issue was back in 1960, when a Democrat elector cast his ballot for a Democrat other than Kennedy. Although not explicitly stated as such, I believe it was because he could not bring himself to vote for a Catholic for President. Kennedy's lead was large enough that this single vote did not affect the outcome.

What's more dangerous, though, are the number of states (Democratically held) who are talking about forming a compact that all of their electors will vote for the winner of the popular vote, regardless of how the voters in their state voted. This would nullify the buffers the Electoral College provide against mob rule.

EDIT: I was reading a piece in the Guardian online last night where they tried to answer questions about the American systems and explain what was happening in the US. (HA!) One of the questioners was from Canada who said that "everyone is tired of the Electoral College; why don't they (the US) move to a popular vote like everyone else?"

Although I couldn't reply to the questioner or the "unbiased" person answering the question, I had the thought, "No, we don't have a popular election for the President. You know what else we don't have? Governments that collapse every six months because someone gets their knickers in a knot and pull out the the governing coalition!"

  5. And...it's only "official" in the Democratic warped mindset. They just wanna say it so it'll somehow become their reality. Anything official is determined by a process, and NOT by Biden and mainstream media saying so. It needs validation.

Looking at the situation, we can say that currently, Biden is winning. But we cannot say that he won.
The Court is to decide, after proper investigation.

The media can yell that Biden is the winner all they want, but that doesn’t make it so! The President has only just begun to fight and never fear, justice will be done! Our Lord didn’t take Ginsburg and give us Justice Barrett for nothing, you know!

God bless Trump for doing all he did to bring faith and hope to America and the world. Win or lose I hope he doesn’t give up being a thorn in the sides of those who need a good poke! There are hundreds of people in Ireland still praying for him and America.

I wish President Trump would start his own conservative network, it would be fabulous! I cannot get over the turncoats at Fox news, as soon as they knew which way the wind was blowing many of them jumped off the Trump ship. It will be interesting to see how long Tucker, Hannity, and Ingraham hang around.

On other forums I’ve seen people saying for years that Fox is controlled opposition. They finally pulled out all the stops this election so at least people can stop watching them now.

  14. I would pay money to have them start their own spinoff network.

I need to be reminded of these words. Thank you. I was thinking this morning at prayer about her words to Lucy--in the end my Immaculate Heart will triumph....hoping and praying.
