Yes, and Trump's current continuing language towards "being friends" with Russia/China et al, thus trying to derive some kind of cooperation that still remains available drives the neocons, globalist elitist types nuts. They've gotten comfortable not wanting a real leader for America. Mark Steyn has a good article on Bolton today. I have to say that his depiction of Bolton leaves me impressed. Bolton seems to be very much his own man and direct and honest with it. Steyn also says that McMaster expected Trump to move towards his views, but that Bolton has altered his to be more in line with Trump. They could make a decent team.

Most of us here, at one time, thought Pope Francis was going to be an illiberal Pope. One can check the older posts to see the pattern of realisation slowly and painfully dawning upon us. We were wrong. One can never be certain of how someone reacts to receiving power after being long on the outside criticising it. Let's at least give Bolton a chance. I don't know how the Trump administration can avoid disappointing people. Look at what he's up against. I am surprised he has lasted so long and has achieved what he has. Of course, the purported funding of Planned Parenthood will be a decisive moment. If it actually goes ahead with the cooperation of Trump, I will consider him just another man of straw.

I voted for Trump and supported him early on when he was unpopular amongst my fellow Catholics and other conservatives who viewed him with suspicion. I knew early on that he was the only one put up by the Republicans who could beat Hillary and that is why I supported him. But that does not mean that I will idolize him or listen only to his words and fail to scrutinize his actions. He ran on a very different foreign policy than the Neocon-approverd one that he has put into practice. And with his signing of this travesty of a spending bill, it appears that he is slowly but surely morphing into a Bush Republican: in other words a fake conservative. I am reminded that Republicans held nearly all the power during Bush II's Presidency but still squandered their mandate and only paid lip service to the pro-life cause and our Founding Principles. That's because the majority of Republicans in Congress are RINOs and are more loyal to the State of Israel and the war gods than they are to the Constitution of the United States and the wisdom of our Founders. Trump wasn't elected to go along to get along. He was elected to disrupt and say no to the vermin on Capitol Hill, even if that means him vetoing every bill they send him. I'd rather see him resign than turn into another warmongering, big spending, fake conservative RINO, but the early indications are that he indeed drifting in that direction.
I share your concerns Richard. That said, this spending bill is a blank check of sorts without the payee written in but "earmarked" to be done at a later date with no force of law behind it. That does not mean that Trump will do this and in the case of PP and some of the others if he does honor them he will obviously lose much of the base of his constituency which put him into office. I too supported him when he was not popular for the same exact reasons. I am not ready to give up on him yet. I believe that he is doing much that is not readily known to the media and DC insiders who wish for nothing but business as usual. As usual, the detractors can not point to any action which has actually been taken but only point out that he is supposedly supporting these things. Talk is cheap. Actions matter. He could very well not spend any of that money earmarked for things such as PP. Legally. If Trump were to veto every spending bill that did not follow conservative values we would see no budget ever passed. The military would not be funded and neither would any of the other civilian infrastructure projects. We would be in gridlock which is exactly where they would like to see us. I am under no illusions that Trump is not going to let us down. I do not worship at the alter of politics like so many do these days. I think it is still a bit early to throw in the towel just yet. Let's see what comes about as a result of this omnibus spending package in reality first.

I would like to give my personal assessment of Trump. Trump is clearly a psychopath to me. He obviously beholden to satanic/masonic Jewry. He is clearing a way for the antichrist arrival by moving the US embassy to Jerusalem. He will go down in personal disgrace and Christians will be ever more attacked for supporting him. This is not going to end well for him and us.

Muslim Leaders 'Potentially Complicit' Following the Boston Marathon bombing in 2013, when three people were killed and over 250 were injured, Pompeo spoke on the House floor and accused Muslim leaders of being "potentially complicit" in terror attacks by failing to speak out. "When the most devastating terrorist attacks on America in the last 20 years come overwhelmingly from people of a single faith and are performed in the name of that faith, a special obligation falls on those that are the leaders of that faith," Pompeo said back then, according to The Hill. "Instead of responding, silence has made these Islamic leaders across America potentially complicit in these acts, and more importantly still, in those that may well follow," he added. He argued that even the "best-funded Islamic advocacy organizations and many mosques across America" are failing to condemn extremism, calling their silence "absolutely deafening." "It casts down upon the commitment to peace by adherents to the Muslim faith," Pompeo declared. 5. Iran, Terrorism, and Islam Speaking at an event titled "Dealing with Iran in a Post-Deal World" at the Westminster Institute in December 2015, Pompeo talked about the various conflicts between "the Christian west" and the "Islamic east" over the centuries. He warned that the nuclear deal between Iran and the United States, along with other Western nations, will not stop the Iranian regime from obtaining dangerous weapons, as intended. "We know that our Treasury has done important work around the world in fighting against radical Islamic terrorism, has been able to cut off money flows, and identify bad guys through their efforts to move money around the world. The Iranian banks too are about to ... have sanctions lifted from them," he said at the time. "We ought to re-impose those sanctions because those banks are deeply connected to terror and we ought to make sure that this administration (Obama admin.) reports each time one of those formally designated banks engages in terror activities as well."
