You all prayed for me when I needed support handling our surprise pregnancy at 42. Your prayers made a difference and really helped me. I really Thank You and ask for your prayers again. Now I am a few weeks from my due date. I am starting to get scared about the unknowns of labor and honestly the pain. Also, scared that the baby may have some health issues or complications due to my age. Then there is having to return to work after only taking eight weeks off. So, really hoping he is an easy baby. It would be easier if I just remembered that I am not in control. I need to work on that more. Any prayers you can offer for me will be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!
May God bless you and your precious baby with a safe and easy labor and delivery! Thanks for the update.
I am praying for you now, Joanne, and will continue to do so each day until your beautiful baby is here! God bless you!
Praying for you and your new baby. We gave a 14 year gap between our 4 children and I remember the same fears and concerns when our last one was born. We were "old" ( which since that was 14years ago) we are ancient now . All will be well. And in the blink of an eye, this newborn will grow up and you'll look back and just smile with the memories. What a joy and blessing to bring a new life into our world. Peace.
Prayers to St Gerard Majella Prayer for a Safe Delivery O great Saint Gerard, beloved servant of Jesus Christ, perfect imitator of your meek and humble Savior, and devoted child of Mother of God, enkindle within my heart one spark of that heavenly fire of charity which glowed in your heart and made you an angel of love. O glorious Saint Gerard, because when falsely accused of crime, you did bear, like your Divine Master, without murmur or complaint, the calumnies of wicked men, you have been raised up by God as the patron and protector of expectant mothers. Preserve me from danger and from the excessive pains accompanying childbirth, and shield the child which I now carry, that it may see the light of day and receive the purifying and life-giving waters of baptism through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Will be praying on my fingers later and will include you and your bump... God Bless you & your baby, DBM.
May our dear Lord take care of both you and your little one. Prayers for a safe, easy delivery. May this child be the blessing of your life!
Joanne, My wife, Geralyn, was named after St. Gerard. We'll be sure to pray for you and your little one and the rest of the family! Safe in the Father's Arms!
I will say a prayer now. Just remember even if there are health issues it is something to thank God for because he did it for a reason, it is not random. It could have ramifications you cannot see now, like bringing your family together in a way you never thought possible or something.
Joanne, I got married at 41, had our first baby girl at 42, and had our second baby girl at 44. They were both perfectly healthy and are now sweet, bouncy toddlers of almost 4 and 2 1/2. I understand your worries because I've been there. But remember that the Dear Lord has given you this precious gift and He will hold you and your little darling in the palm of His hand all the way until you are holding him or her in your arms. I'll be praying for you. If you've chosen a name, pray to the baby's patron saint(s) and the baby's Guardian Angel, too. All will be well!
May the Lord bless you and your baby, and I will pray tonight for a safe delivery for both you and your little angel.
