I believe the many remnant communities throughout the world are the salt of the few that preservrs the whole. The equivalent of Sodom's 10 righteous men. The prayers and sacrifi e of these remnant souls has pulled us back from The brink more than once.

Perhaps this explains the case of Portugal, which Our Lady promised would always preserve the dogma of the faith. Interestingly, when reading through this forum, I get the impression that the United States and Ireland have a living and faithful Church within them. This is because the sense of unity and perseverance in faith and doctrine makes the structure of a faithful remnant more visible—just as scattered ants are hard to notice, but when gathered together, like in a single colony, they become a structure more easily seen by the human eye. I believe that God, from above, sees a faithful remnant in every nation as a living sacrifice—one that convinces Him not to draw the sword of His wrath, at least for now, against the crimes and transgressions of their inhabitants and of the entire planet Earth as a whole.

    I agree.
It's an interesting observation about Ireland and US . Both suffered persecution in some form for the faith and persevered through it all. There was always a remnant even after VII. Holding on to the ancient faith. It's very bad today for the Church in all countries but there is that faithful remnant thank God.

In the clip above, there is an embedded video of a residential building in Israel where citizens are frightened because of incoming Iranian missiles. Suddenly their own building is struck. Such is the horror of war!

    Lord have Mercy!

I always felt that when Abraham got to 30 or 20 God should’ve told him “Get out of here”. :);)

But God is merciful and all forgiving.

1 John 1:9. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

We also get to see where God has red lines drawn. A minimum threshold before complete destruction. It is estimated that the population of Sodom and Gomorrah were 1200 people before it was destroyed. 10 righteous people out of 1200 hedonistic pagans. Which is just below 1%.

How great is God's love for us, less than 1 percent! I remember reading a statistic for Italy's mass attendance post pandemic being around 10 percent of the population- we are getting close to that 1 percent...

From what I see and hear Mass Attendance in Ireland is on the up. A friend's son in Dublin has said Mass attendance amongst younger people is noticeable
I'm on my way to San Giovanni, Monte St Angelo, Manapello and Assisi. I'll remember your intentions there.

Some commentars suggest that if Abraham had said would God spare the towns for just one good person He might have done it.

But Abraham was not cheeky enough. I think their precise sin was not homosexuality as such but homosexual rape and to make it worse to guests.

Be a little careful Mary and be prepared to come home early at the drop of a hat if need be.

Things out there are very, very bad indeed at the moment. I think Trump has lost the plot. A loose cannon. Lost in Space.
I'm not in Spain for nothing.

I believe there is a high probability that Haifa could be almost entirely destroyed if this conflict escalates into a full-scale war. Jerusalem has historically been a center of dispute and violence between Judaism and Islam; however, Haifa has long been a bastion of peaceful coexistence among Jews, Christians, and Muslims. I know that Mount Carmel is a sacred place for both Judaism and Islamism—perhaps this could reduce the likelihood of attacks on holy sites on the sacred mountain, such as the Stella Maris Monastery...
