From today's Holy Mass: Receive, O Lord the sacrifice of conciliation and praise and grant that, cleansed by its action, we may make offering of a heart pleasing to you. Through Christ our Lord. This hour when we step into eternity and into glory, offering with Christ His eternal sacrifice to the Father, is so amazingly unfathomable! Our purified, individual hearts collectively united to Our Lady's Immaculate Heart and her Spouse, the Holy Spirit, brings joy to God! Let us never fail to offer up our blessings and thanksgivings with the bread and to offer up our failures and crosses with the cup so that all will be returned to Abba! How wonderful to be unburdened, cleansed, and united! Please invite someone new this week to return to the Holy Mass! May they be given eyes to perceive the unseen wonder of all that is taking place! To God be the glory! Safe in the Father's Lap!
One of my favorite parts of the Mass comes from the third Eucharistic prayer: "May he make of us an eternal offering to you, so that we may obtain an inheritance with your elect" I love the image of Christ offering us up to the Father, as if we were a gift from a loving Son to his Father. Lord, I am not worthy!
