Several Christian associations (Catholics and other Christian churches) are participating in this prayer Church from 9 pm on Decembre 31st to 9 am on January 1st and resume from 3pm to 9 pm on January 1st (Paris time or GMT +1) The event will be held in a Church in Paris, but here is the live link for those who want to participate remotely: Several prophecies point to France rising up again to reclaim her role as the Church's eldest daughter and sending missionaries to the world again. Mystic Marthe Robin said the nation would hit rock bottom but the renewal would happen very quickly, like a tennis ball hitting the ground and bouncing up very high. May initiatives like this one be signs that the nation will soon return to their Lord and Our Lady.
Wow I JUST heard about the mystic Marthe Robin for the first time yesterday. I read that she said Mary would save France from civil war/communism through the prayers of a few children (back in the 1940s) and Mary did appear to 4 girls for 9 days (or 7, I can't remember) right when world communists were deciding something that would have destroyed the people of France...and it was suddenly and unexplainably reversed. So this is exciting to see, and I will certainly be praying for France!
Thank you PF for your prayers! I actually meant to post something a few weeks ago which also moved me and gives me much hope for France: for weeks there was a joint prayer of repentance to God by both Muslims and Catholics with each community having its own prayer according to their faith. Each prayer admitted to having sinned and was asking God for his Mercy and forgiveness for our joint contribution in the ruin of the West we now live in. It was a Muslim woman who started the initiative and Catholics joined in - Muslim prayers were on Friday night and Catholics on Saturday night. In the old testament, when Israel strayed from God it was the prophets and other leading figures who prayed fervently to God asking for his forgiveness and repenting for the sins of the people. To me, God cannot forgive us until we repent and here I see Christians and Muslims of good faith recognizing that their sins contributed to the actual mess, repenting and asking for Mercy and forgiveness. It's a most important step and it's been done publicly by leading voices in religious communities. I'm into the book of Esther lately because of the link with Our Lady of Fatima. Esther saves her people but prays to God for help and she repents on behalf of her people: "We have sinned in thy sight, and therefore thou hast delivered us into the hands of our enemies: For we have worshipped their gods. Thou art just, O Lord." She gets her people to fast and pray for three days too, which brings to mind what is supposed to happen when secrets are released in Medjugorje.
That must be the apparition of Our Lady of Pontmain. I recommend this book, Fatima the Signs and Secrets which is excellent. The author discusses other apparitions as they are part of Our Lady's interventions, including Lourdes and Pontmain. Truly we have a most wonderful Mother in Heaven. She has tried so hard to save us. But when France will arise again and she will affect other nations.
Actually it's the apparitions at L'ile - Bouchard. I'm reading "The World of Marian Apparitions," which covers all the Marian apparitions of the 20th century and how many of them related to Fatima. It's amazing, with photographs on every page. I'm giving it to everyone!
That looks like an amazing book, I'm tempted to get it! I don't know much about apparitions at L'Ile Bouchard, but after your post went looking a bit and read a comment that they were related somehow to the events of May 68 (but I haven't had time to find out more yet). Coincidentally, this weekend someone said to me that all the protests going on now are like May 68 in that it is bringing together people from all walks of life and social standing. I'll have to read up more on it.
