When in years to come Catholics look back on the history of these times , it will be the Catholic Cardinals, Bishops, Priests and humble lay folk who spoke out and acted, sufferingy accordingly who will be honoured and admired by the Faithful; whilst those who have been promoted and heaped with honours who will be viewed with the very gravest suspicion. It will be like the old question, 'Daddy what do do in the war?' 'Catholic, what do you do during that Pontificate?' I have to say the humble lay people , women and men, who will , looking back on it, take the pride of place for their courage and resilience.
Praying much for that poor man in Rome. To face the Judgement Seat of God, to pass through the curtain of death is such an awesome thing. But to do so with the real possibility, indeed probability of facing hell, Eternal Damnation is truly, truly terrible. I am praying for the poor, poor guy pretty well with great compassion at the moment. The poor, poor man. Death is nothing really...it is what comes after death.
By coincidence I was reading last night of the death of Sister Lucia of Fatima who died at about the same time as the death of Pope St John Paul the Great. The two of them were great friends. I was a little bit jealous of them both. So well looked after and bathed prayer in death. Two very, very holy, though painful deaths. Both had suffered in life a very, very great deal, especially in their last illnesses. But the thing about them both..and this is all that really matters in the end....they were true saints with nothing really to fear of the Judgement Seat. Sister Lucia died on the 13th of the month. There's that 13 once again.

God kept Cdl Burke alive. He was deathly ill for weeks with Covid, and prayers for him poured in from everywhere.
. You think someone as old and ill as PF would be searching his heart and making peace with his "enemies." Jesus made it very clear that this is not just a suggestion. It is a command. Praying The Our Father every day should be a continuous reminder. For all of us actually.
I will never forget that. I prayed daily Memorare novenas for him and cried when I heard he was getting better. He is very dear to me.
I was always deeply impressed by Cardinal Burke's constant, constant charity in that he never ever said a single word out of place, never ,never. Even though a lesser person might get have been very severely tempted to let fily. Charity, the true mark of the saint.
The same deal with Ralph Martin, a deep and abiding charity, a truly saintly man. But when a guy like that sounds a warning we all need to listen.
Wise words from a holy , holy man…. https://spiritdaily.org/blog/news/what-cardinal-burke-said I hope PF reflects on Galatian 2 :11. We see Paul rebuke Peter because of his actions but never against his authority. From what I have read, it’s not clear if they reconciled completely as men, but Peter did come around to what Paul called him out on. So, it’s good to see what Cardinal Burke says…. Francis is pope and while I may not like it, be very careful because you don’t want to question the Lord, who has allowed this. Yes, like Paul, a pope can be called out for failing but in our faith we also know he is Peter.
Peter was Pope. Scripture affirms this. Correct. That doesn't mean Frankie he's playing all out for the other team, the Dark Side, he's not our Captain. You can't play for two teams at the same time. The Good Shepherd doesn't eat his own sheep, only wolves do that. He's not a Shepherd, he's a wolf and he's eating the sheep like crazy. If it means I'm a bad Catholic for stating the obvious, alright then I'm a bad Catholic. But I can smell roasted lamb in the shepherds house. Boy can I ever smell it.. He's on the other team. It's as simple as that. The other team.
