I'm sending prayers for your family. Being a mother is learning about strengths you didn't know you had, and dealing with fears you didn't know existed. ~Linda Wooten
Hi Rae, I too will keep you in my prayers/rosaries. As a father of 5 boys and 1 daughter(in that order) I understand what you are going through. A good priest friend of mine(MMP priest and Medj priest) told me about a community he got involved with on his frequent pilgrimmages to Medjugorjie, The Communita Cennacolo as one of my sons was also "into partying heavily" as a young teen. After high school we convinced him to join this community. Since he has gotten out we have sent 3 other friend's kids there who were having substance problems of one kind or another. The community's specialty is dealing with youth and substance problems. They are entirely focused on the rosary, adoration, and work. I call it a catholic boot camp. The commitment is for 3 years and they rely on providence. It is an Italian community mostly based in Europe with houses(either for girls or guys) in the US and a couple in South America. The pope invited them into Buenos Aires when he was a Cardinal and my oldest son went on an "experience"there a couple years ago. I am advising this community for Daylen and any other kids on this forum who are experiencing difficulties with their lives.
View attachment 1046 Prayer to St Dymphna God of mercy, we bless You in the Name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, Who ministered to all who came to Him. Give Your strength to Daylen, one of Your children, enfold him in Your love and restore him to the freedom of God's children. Lord, look with compassion on all those who have lost their health and freedom. Restore to them the assurance of Your unfailing mercy, strengthen them in the work of recovery, and help them to resist all temptation. To those who care for them, grant patience and understanding and a love that perseveres. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Thank you all so much for all the prayers and well wishes. Daylen is where he needs to be at the moment. The place is called The Watershed. There are doctors there and I am praying as much as I can. He is surrounded by the Hearts of Jesus and Mary...where I know he will be safe. His patron saint and Confirmation saint has always been St. Michael the Archangel. Who better to defend him and keep evil away from him. I know he will be ok, and that is probaby because of all of your prayers. Thank you so much. I will keep you posted. God bless, ~Rae
Thank you all so much for your prayers for my son, Daylen. He is back home and has been diagnosed with Schizophrenia and is on medication. It is a really bad situation. The only way we are making it through is by the grace of God. I continue to trust in the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary. He is in their hands. The situation could have been so much worse if it were not for the intercession of everyone here. God bless, ~Rae
