A local parish, (the parish I grew up in), has a mission on this week. It is by the St Patrick's Community which is based in Ireland. They give talks to the local schools during the day but their main programme is in the evening. I was at the service last night where the main talk was given by John Pridmore, who had been a London gangster prior to his conversion. It is an amazing story. I had attended a mission which they had given in another parish a year or two ago accompanied by my husband. In fact I am currently reading John's book "Gangland to Promised Land"
The evening finished with Adoration & Benediction which was lovely. The music & singing by Breda was amazing too.
The money raised is split between funding their evangelical programme & Mary's Meals.
