I've finally had the time to watch this. Am I right in thinking that this is the first time a current bishop has publicly pointed out the errors of Vatican II? He points out the problems with Dignitatis Humanae that led to the post-Conciliar teaching that every person has a right to choose his own religion. He mentions "the Assisi meeting of Pope John Paul II in 1986 and the other meetings, where even idolatrous religions were invited to pray in their own manner – that is to say in their idolatrous manner – for peace". And he said, “If you have a right by God given to you, by nature, also to be able to choose acts of idolatry – like the Pachamama – when it is rooted in your dignity of man even to choose a Pachamama religion: this is the last consequence of this expression of the Council text". So, my questions are: 1. Wasn't Abp Lefebvre right all along? 2. I get the whole, "you can catch more flies with honey" saying but sometimes you need to boldly state the truth. My opinion of course. And there is no "evangelizing" going on in the Amazon by Catholics it would seem. The bishop is not baptizing indigenous , he said so himself. So quoting St Paul is meaningless to do. PF is speaking out of both sides of his mouth. He is saying the above speech to try and sound good and orthodox so the "comp!ainers" will back off and feel better. And out of the other side he is speaking of the U.N.and we are all one with the Earth, sustainable development, and climate change and sounding just as much a NWO tyrant as any politician. No sir, he called them out and allowed the small seed of faith in 2 people to grow while fully rejecting the pagan ways of the rest of them. I'll bet he's not verboten now, especially since he invokes Teilhard when promoting his cosmic mass. They have celebrated that cosmic mass in their Cathedral in Washington DC. You only have to look at that to see where "development", "accompaniment" and "finding new paths" can lead. We only have to look at what happened in the Vatican during the Synod to see how easily evil can be passed off as good. But don't worry. At the Mass in St. John Lateran today, Pope Francis said that Jesus is the foundation. They just have to find new paths to evangelise people who are far from the Church. That will ease the consciences of those who believe that Pope Francis is impeccable and infallible no matter what he says provided some Bishops agree with him. After all, isn't he the master and not the servant of Scripture and Tradition? He also said at the same Mass that when Jesus threw the money changers and animal traders out of the temple, they weren't in the temple proper but in an outside area where non-believers were welcome. According to Pope Francis, Jesus was telling the Jews that everyone was welcome to pray in the Temple. Presumably, Pope Francis is letting us know that Pachamama worship is welcome in our churches at any time because that's why Jesus threw out the money changers. We learn something new every day.
Sg, Bishop Schneider has defended Vatican II numerous times and in fact, he has stated that due to Vatican II the laity have the right to speak up against problems that occur in the Church at various times. + Maybe you can point out when in the video Bishop Schneider made the statements that you have listed above? I can only recall him stating the Pope Paul VI should have voiced stronger opposition to some things that occurred. I know that Michael Matt stated more issues in regard to Vatican II but he does this in almost every video that he makes, so nothing new there. I think that you missed the point of the video. No, I am not shooting him. I respect Bp Schneider very much. But the truth needs to be said. It is beyond obvious that PF does not believe in the essential truths of the Catholic faith. Why is is that no one in the hierarchy is doing what needs to be done? Consider the following action of St Nicholas with regards to Arius the heretic: Arius wrongly taught that Christ was not fully divine but rather a mere creature. Arius taught that Christ had been created by God the Father. During the First Ecumenical Council of Nicea (AD 325), Arius was called upon to defend his position on the inferiority of Christ. The Emperor Constantine and the bishops present at the Council were alarmed by Nicholas’ act of violence against Arius. They immediately stripped Nicholas of his office as a bishop by confiscating the two items that marked out a man as a Christian bishop: Nicholas’ personal copy of the Gospels and his pallium (the vestment worn by all bishops in the East). Now if that were the end of the story, we probably wouldn’t know about Saint Nicholas, and our children wouldn’t be asking him for presents. However, after Nicholas was deposed, the Lord Jesus Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary visited Nicholas who was being held in a prison cell for his fist-fight with the heretic. Pope Francis is always careful to say something orthodox - just orthodox enough for the lukewarm Bishops to line up with the modernists against anyone who would accuse him of heresy or apostasy. There's certainly enough evidence for him to get the same treatment as Honorius 1 from a future Pope but there could be a Pope Francis 2 and 3 before that happens. It's very possible that we won't get another truly Catholic Pope until the papacy is meaningless to all but a faithful remnant of Catholics. It's also possible that the current Peter could turn around and strengthen his brethren just as the first Peter did after he denied Christ. Do they keep roosters in the Vatican?
