It wasn't a bowl of dirt. It was a plant and it was placed on the altar. Lots of people presented offerings of various things including feathers but the plant was the only offering the Pope actually took into his hands and you can see him apparently tell the priest to place it on the altar. It remained on the altar for the remainder of Mass although it was near the edge behind some candlesticks. I'm wondering what kind of plant it was - whether it was one of those plants they use to get high and communicate with the spirits or maybe a yucca plant. Dolours, Yes, I saw that this really took place and to me it looked like some holly and some long grass but gardening is only a hobby of mine, so this is a semi-educated guess. The thing that I am wondering about is whether or not it is true that it was presented as being a version of Pachamama. Maybe you are suggesting that because it ia not just dirt then it could not be considered to be a version of Pachamama. I finally had the time to watch the whole video today and I still believe that Father Wolfe states at @1:02:45 that with the aid of Saint Michael the Church will be purged of all heretics, schismatics and apostates. Yes, I believe that there will be a miracle - the Triumph of Our Lady's Immaculate Heart. He then says that there will be a split between the false church and the true Church but I am not assuming that he means a schism even though he uses the word split because he also uses the word purge and a little while later he refers to it as the victory of the Church. He does ask us to pray for Cardinal Burke but he is not specific about in what context this is meant, I mean he states nothing about the formal correction. He may simply be referring to Cardinal Burke being involved in the dubia, idk. So, I suppose we don't agree on what is stated in the video but I do appreciate you bringing the video to our attention again. It was interesting to watch it a second time especially with all that has occurred over the past 2 years and I often forget about that horrible stamp with Martin Luther at the foot of the cross in the place of Our Lady, disgusting. The signs were all around us 2 years ago and now things have moved from a disgusting stamp to pagan idols and no mention of Our Lady at the Pan-Amazonian synod at all even though without her so many conversions would have never occurred in that part of the world.

It is undisputed that Pope Benedict has a very brilliant mind, and he has continued to show us that his mind is still very sharp and clear. No one can accuse him of having lost his mental faculties. He deserves more credit than you give him. I simply cannot believe that he would make a mistake of this proportion. His resignation was obviously something well thought out and planned (and personally, I believe it was something God asked of him, in a mystical manner). So, he planned ahead that he will be known as Pope Emeritus, that he will continue to sign off as PP Benedictus and give his papal blessings , wear the papal white and reside in the Vatican. Why, his personal secretary even talked about an ‘expanded’ papal ministry! All these are clues that he gives us. And if he had been forced to resign, with some kind of horrible threat, by the wolves surrounding him, he will most definitely not be declaring it publicly no matter how many times he is asked about it. I agree that everything that has happened has been permitted by God. But like I’ve said before, my opinion is that God allowed a false ‘pope’ only while a true Pope is alive and reigning. God made Peter the Rock upon which He built His church. And we have been warned of the current crisis in prophecies. We need to recognise the unfolding of the prophecies. +

Remember the tree planting in the Vatican garden when the Synod began? The indigenous people worship mother earth, and plants, and they brought offerings of soil to be sacrificed to their plant gods. I still lean towards what I originally thought, but it is quite possible you are correct. I probably lean my way because it does not require a miraculous event, but miracles are most likely going to happen at some point, so I hope you are correct and not me.
I understand why you might think that SG. I am not conspiratorial enough for that. It is a deep hole that requires me to think the Pope Emeritus is trying to send us secret messages to follow him. If he had any care at all for the faithful (and I think he does) he would not do something so underhanded. Something that would cause the loss of so many souls. You are basically saying he is a willing participant in allowing almost all Catholics to be fooled into following an antipope. In that case, he would be the worst Pope in history.
Sean, I totally agree with your assessment of this situation. It’s very clear. It would definitely be underhanded for PEB to conspire to step back and let an antipope take over. It’s too much like a mystery novel. Complete with red shoes. I can’t believe people really believe that PEB is giving us clues!
I don't blame people for grasping at straws. We are all trying to make sense of a very difficult situation. For some the answer is "Pope Francis is not Pope". Then there is no problem. The only difficulty then is they have to figure out a way for him not to be pope. That requires some strained logic. So as much as I very strongly disagree with anyone who rejects a sitting Pope, I can also empathize with them and understand where their angst is coming from. I've heard this theory before and not only is convoluted, but it would also make the Pope Emeritus reprehensible. Frankly, I wouldn't want to go back to a Pope who would be so evil as to do such a thing.

I think it's a bit of a stretch to put the plant on a par with the wooden idols. It looked to me that there were three plants in the pot: one looked like grass, another with leaves resembling holly and one with pinkish red leaves with a red blossom. Maybe the grassy plant is some type of corn. There was something written on the plant pot: Amazonia and another word which might start with the letter C.
I agree with you. When I reread his resignation letter recently, he clearly and definitively stated that he freely resigned or some other statement to that effect. That statement of his convinced me that Pope Francis is pope.
