I was thinking today of when I was 15 and with a friend round Ireland. Well I recall at a mountain in Donegall being invited into a cottage were the lady of the house a venerable ever smiling woman, I suppose in her eighties. It was like stepping back the centuries, very old fashined with a bog fire and I noticed a swing hook were they could swing a pot over the fire. What has this to do with the Sacred Heart? Wel lthat big turf fire was the centre of their home, for cooking, heating and light. That's why it reminds me of the Sacred Heart. The centre of everything.
Thank you so much Padraig, my son said that he loved it at Knock and offered to take me anytime I want. Thanks be to God and His Blessed Mother. Prayers going up for you, hope all goes well.

God gives and He also takes away. I was unable to get to mass today because of dealings with children and so many other occurances at Mass time. Praised be the name of Our Lord Jesus, the Christ, the rock, the corner stone, the word made flesh, our friend, our consoler, our head, the God Man. Fiat.
"This Divine Heart is an abyss filled with all blessings, and into it the poor should submerge all their needs. It is an abyss of joy in which all of us can immerse our sorrows. It is an abyss of lowliness to counteract our foolishness, an abyss of Mercy for the wretched, an abyss of love to meet our every need." St. Margaret Mary alacoque 1647 - 1690
