The Lord and I have been going through my "closet" getting rid of things that just don't "fit" any more.
Lots of "un-Christ like" things were found. :? Then this popped up this morning. Obviously He had more to say on the matter.

    Traits of a Christian

Where there is Christ there can be no hatred or jealousy or anger or bitterness. Christians who desire to be part of the Christ mystery must cast wide the nets of mercy, compassion, forgiveness, reconciliation and peace.

You know what's funny Lee, is just a few days ago I started a list of "Characteristics of Saints" I was listening to Mother Angelica on EWTN radio, and she was saying how we can all be saints and should be striving for sainthood. So I thought to myself, Jesus, I want to be a saint and I got a new notebook and prayed Jesus, fill up my notebook with instruction on how to be a saint. Well of course, I know I will fall far short of sainthood, but figured it's better to aim high and fall short than not try at all. Also, I figured this would put me on the path of God's will, and hopefully release me from the unemployment cross, as I keep thinking I must be out of alignment with God's will since I've had the cross so long now. One of the first things I started to do was list out characteristics of saints that I can emulate. They are pretty simple now, like pray unceasingly, especially when I don't feel like praying, detachment from the world, etc. I will add your trait from above as something to strive toward!

    Lee,

The joy of knowing my Lord is immeasurable, but I must admit: I keep hoping Jesus will let me know when I can sit back and put my feet up...I haven't heard a thing, yet! :p

Safe in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary!

    Mario,

Fortunately, I was truly blessed with a sense of humor and can (eventually) laugh at what goes on in my life.
This last week I was thinking, "Lord last year was filled with lessons of attachments and learning to depend on You.
My husband passed, my life turned upside down and I thought that I was through for a while. But no, instead You said "strap yourself in, it's going to get really interesting"...and so it has, and so it has.

Think about it- often when you are on a rollar coaster- don't you just scream, cry and laugh? Laughter is a great healer and helps me cope. AHHHHH I do think we need to strap in and remember to pray as we go through this coming year.

Lee- I'll keep you in my prayers that you get a moment of peace to continue to recover and bond through more prayer rather than more chaos.

    Pray, pray, pray

I've been "on sabbatical" in a way...I find this happens to me now and then, though the durations have become shorter and shorter. I need to clean out my closet too. I will pray about this! Our trip to Notre Dame this weekend will be a great way to reawaken my faith, which has been on a low lately. Talk about roller coasters! I feel like it is one big roller coaster ride, this faith journey I am on!

    Attaining Selfless Love

We will always experience the palpable attacks and the secret workings of self-love, until we leave this earth. To avoid offending God and disfiguring our souls, it is enough that we do not deliberately consent to it by our will.

    Hierarchy of Love

God did not need to create. He is self-sufficient. Yet in the super-abundance of his love he created a cosmos of angels to reflect that love and accomplish that love. Love is the reason for the hierarchy. The greater love serves and lifts up the lesser.

I am eternally grateful for this.
