Must be very hard to repair the damage done to thousands of souls who have heeded the messages and been mislead. A warning to anyone promoting unapproved messages ,(so often done here) Always make it very clear they do not have full Church approval. Its more than your own soul at stake. Unless your happy to risk others?
I think that is a bit harsh Mac. This is a place to discuss what is being spoken. You say promoting but I feel it is more discussing and discerning. God told us He would speak to us in the end times. If we are in the end times then He is speaking now and the church does not approve the "now". If we don't search, discuss and discern the now, then I feel we are offending God by not listening and searching for His chosen prophets speaking now and more importantly His chosen word. I am not one wanting to offend God in this matter. Lord knows I do enough of that on my own. Thank God for His mercy in the confessional. Acts 2: [16] But this is that which was spoken of by the prophet Joel: [17] And it shall come to pass, in the last days, (saith the Lord,) I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams. Yes I agree Andy . My attitude here is harsh.The Church used to hold a much harsher view. The rules have been relaxed quite a lot in recent decades. I have an interest in Garabandal. It is a message worthy of our time. The Bishop has ruled there is nothing against the Faith. But should I promote it ? Should I tell people they will receive a warning before any chastisement? What if I am wrong? And people do not have a warning. What if my belief in the warning prevented me from correcting family members living in sin ,because I believed God would take care of it during the Warning. Would this failure be my fault or the Churches fault? The Church has not approved it ,so it certainly wouldnt be the Churches fault. Do you see where I am going?
The now or the eternal moment...God will reveal His true prophets. We are too quick to jump from this person to that person or this vision to that vision. God is sending prophets to us every day. But these ordinary saints are just doing ordinary things. I will be your prophet Pray, Fast and convert souls. That is the universal message. True prophets will lead you to the path. But its up to each one of us to follow the path and keep growing spiritually. As evil grows and grows, God will love His saints more and more (you and me). We are His final foot soldiers. If this is not the end of times...we are very close. But then again, in Gods time, it might be another 100 years. I saw mother teresa once, what i saw was a ordinary woman living in the divine moment. Everything she did was for the greater Glory of God. Washing plates, saying rosary, making beds, devotional prayers was all done for Our Lord Jesus Christ. While her exterior was plain and simple her interior was polished and grand. I just don't think its that hard for each and everyone of us to start the process. We are all called to be saints. The dificult part is taking that final step. Mother Teresa took the final step and didn't even know it. Maybe we should start looking within before we start looking to the world for that rockstar prophet. When God sends His final messengers they will speak straight and to the point. If we are in a state of grace...God will open our eyes to the truth. May Gods Will be Done

I am sorry this is condemned by the Church. I don;t want to delete this thread as there is too much on it. But no more defending Condemned Phenomena or I will I have to delete it. I am sorry for any offence, Padraig. I joined this forum more or less after the whole hoo ha surrounding MDM had died down I think, and am not too well versed with it. It just strikes me as strange that MDM's messages prophesied accurately the plot to oust Pope Benedict XVI and his resignation. Also that his successor would be suspect/ false prophet. And the official condemnation of MDM came from a priest aligned with PF's agenda - Archbishop Diarmuid Martin. I don't know much about MDM SG because I shy away from most visionaries these days but at this point I think yes given the leadership inside the Church that suspect is a nice way of putting it. I personally find everything these men do suspect and they can not be trusted to uphold the Truth in any way.
