You can go to luz de maria and put "medicinal plants" in the search bar. Then you can find the document that has the recommended remedies. She recommends the essential oils in this Good Samaritan oil mentioned above. I believe you have to have quite a large amount of the plants to make your own oil. I found the same oil with those basic essential oils (with not as nice a title!....received the name allegedly from the history of robbers using this oil before they attempted their robberies in areas where the plague loomed and they wished to protect themselves from contracting it!) The list of the remedies from the Blessed Mother on LDM is a document which you download and so I was unable to copy this particular page for you. I also highly recommend Oil of Oregano. It took me through several "beginnings of a sinus infection" episodes last winter, so I did not have to see the doctor and get those dreaded antibiotics. Be careful, though, a side effect of some of these antibacterial/antiviral preparations is diarrhea, since the bacteria are being killed off, and some good bacteria are gone as well. Just FYI

I read a few places online about taking it as drops in a liquid. One said orange juice....too much acid for me, I used a small amount of ice tea and drank it quickly. For me, I used about 4 drops oil of oregano in ice tea after meals three times a day. It is pretty strong tasting, you might want to take it before meals so your food can take away the taste of the strong oregano. You can hold your nose. LOL You can dilute it with more ice tea or Gatorade or whatever. But I did it because it helped me so I wasn't going to let the strong taste keep me from it. Also, you might want to start out just doing that for a couple of days. If you are feeling better, stop the oil. I used to take it for about 4 days in a row and then started to feel better. So I would stop. Do not take it for a long time in a row. Oil of oregano can be found online, very inexpensive. I think I ordered mine from iherb.com. Just make sure it is the oil, not some preparation they have made.
I agree that the liquid is super strong. My family takes the oregano capsules instead. We have also had good success with olive leaf extract. It's another potent anti microbial germ killer.
